I've driven without AC for the past 2 years, but after watching your video, I realized this relay was the exact problem. You're the man, RB. Thank you so much!
Nice job ! Lotta mechanic fault to check the basics and jump the gun and straight to changing ac compressor... well done! Great fix!!!
Do you have the code or tagging number for AC Relay that.. , i want to buy this relay.
@@ABDULAZIZ-eg4mj I don’t sorry man but pull out the relay it has part number also it’s same as Ry302 that’s relay part number from fog lights they r same
I have a 2002 Accord, it blows air and the fuse and relay seems good but lights on ac dashboard doesn’t turn on and there is no control between vents or temperature, I even bought a new (used) climate control but the problem still the same, any suggestions on what else could be the issue?
@@felipemoreira436 ok start with checking pressure in the system push the low side valve pin it should have pressure if u feel no pressure or soft very low pressure then system is completly shut down it only works with pressures so check that first and get back to me
Thank you so much. Bought my daughter an almost perfect Accord. 1 week and AC quit. We live in Oklahoma and it is July. I am convinced that if I had taken it to a mechanic, there is NO way they would have said "AC is fixed and that will be $8.00". YOU are "the man" that made ME "the man" to my daughter, and I appreciate it.
Nice job!!! Yup it would a been $8+00 at the end but u did good I’m in NJ it’s super hot out here
Fixed my 2005 accord after living with no AC for over a year. And all it took was replacing this $8.50 relay. Took 20 minutes, and 15 min of that was driving back and forth to the auto parts store! Was ready to give a local shop $800-1000 to replace the compressor. Unbelievable. Thanks a ton.
Nice fix!!!
I feel empowered! This was exactly what was wrong! The shop wanted to charge me $700, and I bought the new relay for $28 and fixed it myself. Women can do anything! Thank you so much!!
Nice job!!! Yup woman power!!!!
Well now….
This worked! Local shop wanted $1600.00 + to replace the air compressor and associated components. I have an 04 Accord, 161K miles. Symptoms were compressor was on and off intermittently but finally went out completely. Subscribed. Thanks!
Barry Davis nice job!!!! Thank you for subscribe... I have another channel here’s a link ua-cam.com/channels/vqsPzqAZfVv_gjBYUFqNdg.html if you like it you can subscribe I will have lots of videos comming this summer
Thanks man. You saved me atleast few hundred bucks. Was driving without A/C for over a year and before going to mechanic today, thought to do some research. Boom the solution was here!!!! Appreciate you a lot man.!!!
This video saved me. Alabama heat and humidity can get bad. After a dead battery, we charged the battery. I drove it to work the next day with no AC. Found this video and hello COLD AC. Thank you for a great video.
Nice good job! Yeah Alabama humidity is serious there
I tried the switch trick and it turned out I had a bad relay! Thank you so much for posting this video! Saved me tons of money for sure!!
I’m glad u found this issue. Good job!!!
Thanks so much for your video. My AC compressor stopped cycling about a week ago. Figured it was a relay or fuse that went out. I had checked the fuse/relay box in the engine compartment but the labeling wasn't clear. Didn't understand that that frost icon was the relay for the AC compressor. I thought the defective part might be under the dash left kick panel where there's a fuse / relay panel and I thought that I heard a relay clicking earlier. However your video explained that little frost icon, showed me which relay to replace and how simple it was. I did the relay swap as you suggested to verify diagnosis of the problem and the compressor came back on. Went down to O'Reilly's Auto, picked up a replacement relay for $11.90 including sales tax. Put it in and it works. You made my job so much simpler and I really appreciate that. Thank you.
Nice good job!!! Glad the video helped u!!
My 2007 Honda Accord AC stopped working (blow warm air) after it sit for 10 days. This video pin pointed the problem. I got two relays from Amazon for just over 9 bucks and replaced one and it worked right away! Thank you!! I have a spare relay in hand as well.

Hello Zhao! 😊 Do you mind recording and sending me a short video of your 2007 Honda Accord's MAX A/C button in action, for me to be sure of what I recall that button did before my AC stopped cooling last week? My email is: jkhono@gmail.com
If you do it, I just need you to do it this way:
Please, record the video in a quiet place (so you can also record the sound of the car engine and vents). 😉
1. Put the left knob [vents] in 1st position [less air blow]
2. Put the right know [temperature] in maximum cooling [blue]
3. Press the A/C button
4. Press the "recirculating' button
5. Finally, press the MAX A/C button and wait for a few seconds, then describe what you felt and heard.
Oh man! if you do that for me, I'll be infinitely grateful!! 😍
Thank you in advance!! ☺
Hi Zhao! 😊 THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR KINDNESS OF RECORDING AND SENDING ME THE VIDEO!!! I really appreciated it!! 😉👍
And yes, you're right, I didn't hear any different sound either in your video, BUT believe me, my car DID sound like something kick in every time I pressed the MAX A/C. Weird! 🤷♀

2005 Honda accord …air on ..not cold ..and engine makes almost a sucking or weird noise every couple seconds. Any suggestions?? Thx ..love your channel
Oh that noise could be sc compressor kicking on. Try touching the low side see if it’s cold like ice cube
Hi please help 🥵 when I bought my 2007 v6 (used) the Ac used to work, well just warm air actually. Then I added a can of Freeon but it really didn't do anything 🙁 still blew warm air and I was get a strong burning smell from down in the engine bay (it smelled like the freeon) after unsuccessfully recharging the system... Long story short about a week or two later the Ac stopped working all together, *wasn't blowing warm air anymore and now none of the little Green backlights on the Ac, fan, defroster etc work its completely none responsive... Idk what to do.
I have a 2005 and the center vents don’t blow, but the sides and floor do. How can I fix?
Also, only the driver side window goes down. How do I fix. I’d like the rest to roll down, too.
The vents r controlled with mode door motor might want to check that if it’s operatin u can also rebuild it. And window u need to check if motor is bad or switch some electrical dignostic is needed
This worked for my 2005 lx accord! Thanks a ton!

And from where the air is suppost to come from is from the buttom portion and that portion is not trowing air. Its hard to explain. Swap out that relay it could be going on and off working intermittently but check ur Freon pressure also if u can ask ur mechanic what he did second time hopefully there’s no leaks
I have a 2005 accord and I have a new compressor , ac will not turn on from dash ,changed the relay still not working, could it be a high or low pressure switch, or dash control module is gone out
Did you figure it out
I've Repaired my damaged Radiator and fans & removed the Thermostat out of my 07 V6, the Cooling system is working fine now its just that even when I start my car early in the mornings *Super Cold* the Cooling Fan still turns on instantly and stays on the entire time whiles driving (doesn't cycle on and off) the Car isn't running hot, needle never goes over half, there's sufficient antifreeze in the tank and reservoir tank, it's also burped. I've had the fans relays & everything tested the guy said they were fine... He said the engine Coolant temperature sensor is also fine... But I'm really feeling like that might be what's running the fan hard.. Even tho the guy said "it's typical for the fan to run most of the time like that in these Hondas as long as it's not for more than 10-15mins after turning off engine" but side not Before my Radiator got damaged the Fan never use to turn on right away even at cold starts.. It would once the engine was fairy warmed up and it would cycle on and off not running consistently.. And it would also never remain running once I got home for several minutes no matter how long I was driving & that's how I feel it's supposed to be.... Sorry for the Long detailed discription plz 😣 help!
Great video.
Thanks!!
Thanks! 👍

Man, my 2006 Honda Accord stopped blowing cold air yesterday and this morning I found you on UA-cam. Can't wait to see if it's the problem on my car. I'll get back you later :) Finger's crossed. (you also showed me how to lift the lid on the fuse box, which I didn't know how to do) Thank you so much!
**** EDIT ****
I've been watching more YT videos, and am wondering, before checking fuses and relays, could you not just watch the compressor before switching the AC on and then turn the AC on and if it's still not spinning THEN you check the fuses etc? If you switch the AC on and the compressor starts spinning, then that means it's something like a leak etc??
Well if ac compressor not spinning engaging the clutch then it could be no pressure which leaked or it could be relay and fuse I would start just swap relay and check fuse most easiest
@@RBTheMechanic Yes, but it's easy to see it spinning, and if that's the case, then you know it's not a fuse or relay. Only if it's NOT spinning, then check the relay/fuse.
@@Jez1963UK yeah that’s what I meant if it’s not spinning then do check fuse and relay also if both radiator fans come on that means system has pressure and it’s activating that’s is a 🔑

Hello. So my AC stopped working end of hot season last year. Was not blowing cold. So I took it somewhere to give it a Freon boost, the air was cold for a few days then went back to not being cold any more. Fuse and relay look good. AC is noisy when it comes on. Do you think it's the compressor? Thank you.
That’s might be leak in system u have to add dye and trace down the leak fix it and then recharge it
A damaged condensor can cause this too correct cause it gets power I even put a used one with good compression and it still won't kick on but from what I see the condensor is damaged like whoever owned this before me smashed it in on something it doesn't leave or anything but still I need help
Damaged condenser will leak and cause whole system to loose pressure and the system doesn’t work without pressure

@@RBTheMechanic It worked I forgot to get on here and thank you. You don’t understand you literally saved me money and time. You deserve to be rewarded for making this video. Because you saved my life I was sweating like crazy back and forth from work. It only cost me like 9 dollars at autozone seriously I thank you so much.
@@coronacoors9317 nice job!!!! Good fix!!!

What do you do with a 2004 Honda Accord consider control panel that’s not working can you replace the radio unit with another radio unit
Yeah u can do that most likely the panel will go bad it’s an issue with those
What about for a 2014. I’m having the same problem?
They are save 2013 to 2017

Hello RB!! Very helpful video, thanks!
I have a question about the MAX AC button on a 2007 Honda Accord:
My car's AC had worked fantastically for 15 years (ICE COLD AIR) until last week when it suddenly stopped cooling. I took it to the shop and they changed the compressor, the dryer and filled it with Freon. After work, it started to cool down again BUT the MAX AC button now does NOTHING.
I remember before the AC stopped cooling, when I pressed the MAX AC button, I clearly heard a different sound from the car engine, as if something else kicked in or started, and within 3-5 seconds it started cooling the air even more. The MAX AC button never made the air blow much harder like many people think, it just activated something else (you could hear the different sound) and cooled the air to the maximum ICE COLD temperature in a few seconds, even with the air blow knob at minimum.
The mechanic who fixed it knows nothing about the MAX AC button and it isn’t working at all now.
I went to the Honda dealer and they charge $170 only for the diagnostic and the entire work could cost me around $1000.00!!! 😳
Where can I find reliable (official) information about this specific issue (MAX AC button of the 2007 Honda Accord) so I can fix it or at least to let my mechanic aware of what I’m talking about and not seem like I’m crazy or that I'm making up “stories”?
PLEASE, HEEEEELLLLP MEEE!!! 🙏🏼
Thank you in advance for your help! ☺️
Did they use ac machine to refill the system but I think it might be related to the switch and control
Hello @@RBTheMechanic! 😊 Thank you for your reply!!
I don't think so, I think after they changed the compressor, they used a Freon spray bottle to fill it out, but honestly, I'm not sure. 🤷♀
Can you please tell me where can I find more trustable information (videos, articles, tutorials, etc...) about the specific function of the 2007 Honda Accord's MAX AC button? Or in your experience, can you attest (or not) to my recollection of what that button did before my AC stopped cooling? PLEASE!!!! 🙏
Thanks! 😊
@@MARANATA-GIRASOL well I’m not sure what u mean by max ac I never noticed this max ac on Hondas
@@RBTheMechanic Unfortunately, I can't upload here a pic of the 2007 Honda Accord's A/C system so you can see the MAX A/C button that I'm talking about. It's on the left bottom area (under the A/C button).

Hey I a question about a Honda Accord 03 v6. There is No power at all. I changed the block fuse A 100 amp 70 amp. However, when I put the key in and try to turn it on, I lose power. What can it be? Thanks for your help in advance
I replaced the relays swapped them to see if they were bad, the fuses r good too, wat else can it be ?
Check freon pressure also check to see if ac compressor is getting power when ac is activated
