- Emily is struggling to deal not only with the loss of Maya, but the knowledge that someone drugged her "that night" and how that has now affected Paige. Going to make amends with Paige and try to explain the drugged flask ends up leading Emily to more insight of what she did "that night." Also trying to help Emily out, Spencer turns to Caleb to help crack into a website that might hold answers for them all. Meanwhile, Aria realizes she knows very little about Ezra after meeting his mother and Hanna makes a plea on Mona's behalf.
I think it's at that point that Ezra's mother realises how strong Aria is compared to the 18 year old Maggie. I don't know whether she knew about A, but she realises that Aria is not someone who's going to be pushed around easily.
It’s reasonable for his mom to want her to leave her son, but the way she went about it was just plain cruel and awful to do to a teenage girl. I really hate how glorified a teacher-student relationship is in this show, but gosh, that was so sad to watch.

Ok, so the way she attacked her was bad, but is she wrong? There's a reason why police couldn't know about them, he lost his jobs for her and the hardest thing she went through was fighting with her dad, with whom she already had a inestable relationship from the start. Also, the glorification of a relationship with a minor is pretty awful on this show.

While I absolutely hate the way Ezra's mom confronted Aria, with trying to bribe her into leaving Ezra, I can understand her concern. And she's right in that while Aria may face ridicule for their relationship, even from her parents, Ezra was the one in the legal and occupational danger zone. He gave up his job at the high school. Then Byron fired him from Hollis. People get on Byron for sleeping with Meredith, but she wasn't a 16 year old junior when they dated. I can understand Ezra's mom's concern---because he is much older, Ezra has a lot more to lose than Aria when it comes to their relationship. She wanted Aria to be aware of that and really decide if she really wanted Ezra to risk everything for her.
Personally, I'm on the fence with these two. They're definitely interesting and sweet, and have that spicy forbidden relationship story line, but I still have a hard time getting over the fact that he KNEW who she was, knew she was underage when he started seeing her for the sake of his mystery novel. No offense to shippers; like I said, I can appreciate their moments together. It's just I still have a hard time fully appreciating it because "forbidden relationships" like theirs don't usually last.
You maybe right but Ezra's mom had no right to talk she did to Aria. Plus, who is she to investigate on Aria's private life, Aria minded her own business, while for Mrs. Money Money didn't!
I'm sorry but you can't say Byron sleeping with Meredith is not as bad as Ezra sleeping with Aria. Yes, Aria might have been just 16 and a junior high school and Meredith at least an adult college student but people get on Byron and not on Ezra because Byron was married and had 2 kids, he was cheating on someone, doesn't matter if Meredith was his student or not. Ezra in the other hand, had no wife, not even a girlfriend so technically he wasn't doing anything wrong. I do understand Ezra's mother concern because Ezra had a lot to lose but he decided to keep with it.

Sure he never cheated but if he was caught he would known as a sex offender. Cheating may be horrible but what Ezra was doing was far worse
Hannah Farquhar Oh yeah you're right I totally forgot about that. It's just that the couple is so cute that makes us forget about the bad things. The thing is that Meredith is a disliked character meanwhile Ezra isn't and Byron can get pretty annoying to so maybe that's why people get on Byron and Meredith and not on Ezra.

I hate the fact that she says she is looking the best for him, when she is forbidding him what he wants. I mean GOOD mother despite wanting whats best for their children, they need to leave them to make their own choices and accept to consequences of their actions, not saying the situation between ezra and aria is normal (at least from my POV its not), but still he has no ill intentions with her and the same with Aria. Having money doesnt make you the king or queen and really doesnt give the power to stop others who dont have a big amount of cash in their bank accounts to reach interaction with someone who has. I don't support teacher-student relationship in real life, but I do support Ezria since it's a tv show, and they are obviously in love. I mean if he was taking advantage of her, than sure I wouldn't support it. But it's obvious they are in love, from the moment they've met. His mom had NO right to talk to her that way, Ezra isn't a child, so his mom had no right of doing that. I don't know why they would bribe in shows, or in real life. Not everyone wants to marry someone for money, like seriously get a job.

Yup. Ezra’s choices lost Ezra his job. After watching Season 4, there’s absolutely no way Aria deserves any of the blame for Ezra losing his job. After watching Seasons 6 & 7, she deserves a lot of credit for saving his job and his backside in general.
