I dropped after episode 20 then started back up and was about to drop again when they were fighting the gel lady in the cave. Then yami showed up and we had a light vs dark magic battle. Black clover dun got me there.
@@pi3man252 Ya for me and my friend it was when what seemed like a filler episode (the triple date, actually a pretty funny episode IMO) wound up escalating more and more up to a battle between light and dark magic and that was the first time the animation spiked in quality (ep 34 and 35). After that the story got better, but the animation stayed inconsistent but had some stellar fights. I wanna say the era of bad animation is over, and this arc is a great one for that to happen.
I tear up every time I see Asta's mom pop up right at the end. The fact that Asta has no clue that his entire origin story as a magic knight more or less happened because of his mother's unwavering love for both her children in her final moments breaks my heart no small degree. I seriously hope Liebe tells him that they're brothers someday

Black Clover truly surpassed all its limits. I found myself enjoying the series more than I thought
