Boy, GingerbreadMan put on one hell of a showing, this is the first replay I've seen in a long time that made me stop what I was doing and *only* watch the replay.
How many replays have we seen Pros just bail out when thinks get hard? Way to many and we were just shown anything is possible. Amazing job and demo. More More
Hm, quite a bit of misplay here. First of all: Erica seems to decide by her own not to bother about her side of the map and instead go into to other direction. While double pushing Kavat might have been a viable strategy this would have required both ACUs to press, but Erica kept her ACU just for keeping middle basically just taking mass that would have one to her Teammate else) Then GingerbreadMan fails to punish this. Bascially Ericas lack on her own side would have allowed GingerbreadMan to quickle take control of the bottom triangle and maybe even raiding Erica’s base very effectively, gaining eco, doing damage and basically locking Team 1 out of the bottom triangle. And instead then he get’s pushed back by Erica. Then Team 1 had two large armies in front of GingerbreadMans base. I’m pretty sure they could have done a push together before GingerbreadMan could have finishes his GC. Next of course Erica going Mavor is a big misplay. You can see that Mavor just eats up some maybe 20K mass she had in her bank. Better choice would have been Fatboy, as they are quite a good counter against Snipers and Harbingers. Also Erica dying to the GC is really dumb. Then Raider goes for RAS SCUs, which is a completely nonsensical move. Basically a RAS SCU needs about 10 minutes to pay off. So the first SCU that come out at around minute 25 will start at about minute 35. Considering the game takes about 40 minutes this means that Raider most of the time had *less* eco than what he’d have had if he hadn’t build SCUs. People see Yudi’s meme plays where he gains ridiculous eco by exclusively spamming RAS SCUs, but what they forget is that most of these SCUs never pay of. Then they are confused how Yudi can loose with such a high mass lead ... But building RAS SCUs for eco is only viable if you think the game will take a long time.
It was sad to see, target priority was good, and the pullback to consolidate was spot on. Once it was just the GC they should have retired back to base!
I can't believe how clutch this game was. I was rooting for Gingerbread Man the whole second half. But to see that clutch win was a massive surprise. I thought he was dead when he sent the colossus on a do or die attack honestly.
The Diffrence Between FAF Develop and FAF Beta is FAF Develop is for all the new Imporvemnts/Feature to the game where as FAF beta is for new Balance changes testing.
Oh my goodness what an absolutely wack match. First it looks like GingerbreadMan is done for, then he claws it back, then he's done for again, and then he drops a freaking Czar on Raider! Also some absolute Gigachad moves from Erica, starting a Mavor in a 2v2 and then staring down a Colossus.
so happy gingerbreadman won this one, after raider and erica stopped pushing and doing nothing instead for a while never actually cheered when someone won one of these before this one lol
I always enjoy watching from the "big map" (when you zoom out, I don't know if it has some technical name) when there are tons of engineers reclaiming stuff, it's look like there are explosion everywhere.
It feels like Gingerbread man was feeling very passive and uncertain for large parts of that - He made the right call with the 1st Tsar going deep but was it just me or did it feel like it was under-committed? Had he dived deep, for eco or build power in the support commanders then the damage would have prevented the later snowball of Mega's that the triple GC push fell against
I wondered the sake thing for the first Czar. I'm not sure, but it looked like there were SAMS in the main base. Could have been why he skirted the edge when leaving that side.
he also wasted time with the first czar in the south west corner, going after T1 mex, where he could have used it to decimate the Army with the Mega+FB
Hah, first! Gotta love it. I hope this match is as great as the last one! Edit: Stupid new youtube app comment system… I was not first, only second. Well, I am feeding the youtube algorithm (with gibberish) nevertheless.

The Czar spent too much time raiding unimportant things like T1 engineers and mexxes. Using it to raid T3 mex and T3 power is worth it, but it could have been way closer if they'd been more focused on the high-value stuff.
GAAAAAH NO DISCOOOOOORD!!!!! GRAAAH GYLE YOU UTTER NOOOOOOB!!!! I summoned my inner Hun for this... quite exhausting. Was that abuse good enough? WOOOW; WHAT A GAME!!! XD
My understanding (nonplayer but watch a lot) is that loyalists are good at early T3 when they can be deployed much quicker due to build time / cost / movement speed, and also on large open maps where roving around fast is valuable. But when it's big armies and constrained avenues of attack, then bricks are better because they are just better as a sledgehammer in term of cost / damage / durability.
Man , i'm going to sleep after i rooted for team 1 all the damn game ... completely bamboozled ... The teams i rooted for in Gyle casts before , never won .. I don't know wtf .. Anyway , good night ya'll wherever you are :)
I do wonder sometimes, if FAF players are too eager to swap into shiny experimental production. I haven't sandboxed it myself, but it feels like you can get a LOT of T3 (exact numbers at the end) for the price of direct fire T4s, and overkill applies more often so you're gifting less mass in T3 wrecks while attacking than with T4s. Obviously something like a fatty with its monstrous range or a Ythotha with its death weapon are another matter, because they provide a unique benefit like huge arty DPS or kamikaze destruction, but the regular direct fire T4s seem like another matter. What're the benefits to these big hulking T4s that I'm missing? For the cost of a monkeylord (20k mass/45kHP/4250dps) you can get 16 siege bots (20480M/~115kHP/~5k dps), or 21 (26880M/~155kHP/6-6.5k dps) for the cost of a GC (27.5k/2500dps + arms=??). Aeon equivalent is about 35 sniper bots (28kM/what HP lol/5k dps with 33k alpha) or 33 harbies (27720M/150kHP/10.5k dps) for a GC, and 3/4 of that for a spider. Megalith (37.5kM/110kHP/2500 dps) goes vs double the T3: 30 percies/bricks, 47 aeon/43 sera snipers (which still outrange), or 45 harbies.
less pathfinding issues, less micro management, more range, no drop in DPS when losing hitpoints. Mass is only dropped on death, not when individual units die. And you can build anywhere, not just in T3 factories. They can me hidden much easier than a 30+ unit army. The classic "one mega unit vs. swarm" case. If it was so simple as numbers (T3 vs. T4) then top players wouldnt build T4.
After watching a couple of cast, I'm wondering why the player don't use the fatboy to produce unit? Doesn't it produce unit 3x faster than a t3 factory.
