Please more of these!! I waited for a new one of your hidden gems for switch, it’s so much on the e shop now. I feel so lost sometimes. And hate these all the same we all know top 10 lists. Yours are really really well made and you picked always something I like to try immediately. Nice explanation and also nice team!! Keep up MetalJesusRocks!! You guys are so awesome!! And now with the switch we can’t be happier but it’s so much and overwhelming yeah 🤪🤘
MetalJesusRocks u shouldn't miss out on FE !! one hell of a cute little beautiful game!! :D check it out the gameplay ist really unique didn't see any other game like this so well
Can we get a 2nd hidden gems for switch video? It’s been a while since the first, would love to see some of your recommendations after having played more!
A few hidden gems I like. - Blossom Tales. The title turned me off quite a lot, but then I actually played it. In short, this is Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past, as told by a grandfather to his two granddaughters. The story is obviously different, but the gameplay is LoZ through and through, and the humor is spot on for the most part. Highly recommended for fans of Zelda. - The Mummy Demastered. Can't recommend this one enough. Yes, it's based on the movie... sort of, but the story is all new, and you play as a random soldier rather than Tom Cruise. Or soldiers, as when you die, your corpse wakes up as a machinegun wielding zombie. Oh, and it's Metrovania all the way. From the people behind Shantae. What more do you really need to know? - Cat Quest. Like Blossom Tales, the title can be a major turn-off for some, me included. But it's actually a pretty good game, with tons of great humor (at least if you like puns...), and the gameplay solid. - Atelier Lydie and Suelle. Two girls live in a small town and wants to be great alchemists. So... they try to become better alchemists. That's the story. It's cute, very relaxed and has ton of humor (common for most games on the list, I know...), and is a very nice break from all the hardcore monster hunting, army killing and world saving we tend to do. - Nights of Azure 2. From the people who made Atelier comes a fun game where you pretty much hack and slash your way through the levels, while making sure you level up, do side quest and don't let the time run out. A rather fun, if weird game. The "timer on every chapter" can be a turn-off, but it's not as bad as it sounds, and the rest of the game makes up for it. - Dragon Quest Builders. Shouldn't be a hidden gem by any means, but worth mentioning anyway. The world is destroyed, so a legendary builder (you) wakes up from a deep sleep and starts to restore the world again, building one town at a time. Very simple combat and building mechanics, but very addictive and fun.
Couldn't agree more! I've got Xbone, PS4 and PC but I play my Switch so much more than them 😂 I had to get myself one since the first one was for my son and I wanted to play it too, and now my wife says she needs one 😅
I recommend these Switch games as well. Knight Terrors Blossom Tales Mighty Gunvolt Burst Blaster Master Zero Battle Chef Brigade Wulverblade Deemo Golf Story Fast RMX Celeste
Kaiser499 I've just 'finished' blossom tales, loved every minute! Waiting for gunvolt to come up in a decent sale to pick up, seems pricey to me at full price
Your channel is great for me to get around what games to get for my Switch, I've made a couple of wrong choices with games that weren't worth the price for me but I usually trust your taste, you know your gaming :P
Wulverblade is a pretty solid Switch beat-em-up game in a similar vein to Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, etc. - with the fun twist that it's set in Rome-conquered Britain! There's a lot of neat historical info, and the team did a couple tours of the area the game's inspired by to make sure it was as accurate as possible. I reviewed it back when it came out, it's surprisingly meaty and pretty fun, even more so if you have a buddy to play with!
The Golden Bolt's Game Reviews Omg, you just made my day. I've been looking for a good Final Fight and Streets of Rage clone for a while now. I was looking into getting Raging Justice but it just didn't look all that great from the UA-cam videos of people playing it. Will definitely check out Wulverblade.
If you're gonna pick it up, take note of these two things before you do! These are my only two significant problems with the game, and one of them may have been fixed since it went multiplatform for all I know: First, the game advertises "global" leaderboards, but all leaderboards were local at the time I reviewed the game (a few weeks after it hit Switch); second, the weapons are implied to be unique, but they generally do the same damage for their class (light or heavy). That's not a big deal, but the way the game sets them up makes you think they'll have slightly tweaked stats and stuff, so I'm just mentioning this so you don't get your hopes up. Beyond that, it's a very solid game, probably in the top few beat-em-ups on Switch if not the number one outright!
The Golden Bolt's Game Reviews The biggest jssue I had were the load times. Some of the worst on the Switch. Still a blast, but prepare to make a sandwich between levels.
Reggie!!! Check out Gal Gunvolt on the Vita or Mighty Gunvolt Burst on the Switch (same game). Great 8bit style game that plays like the Mega Man series (devs worked on Mega Man 9 and 10).
Is it any good? Currently playing Xenoblade, next rpg will be Octopath. The characters reminded me of Beyond Good & Evil. At least the trailer he showed here
For how many games I currently have for my switch, I’m honestly shocked that I haven’t played a single one of these! I know it’s a “hidden gems” list but nearly every other similar video I usually own at least half of the games. It’s quite refreshing. I’ll definitely be checking some of these games out. Thanks!
Another hidden gem I recommend is Battle Chef Brigade. It's a mix of 2D platformer and match 3 games, and the artstyle is full of life and absolutely gorgeous.
I have to disagree about Earthlock. As someone who loved jrpgs of the SNES and PSX era, I rarely find modern jrpgs I enjoy. They've changed the genre so much that I'd actually consider the newer "jrpgs" to be a completely different type of rpg genre. I've even played the games which promise a revival of the old school feel, like I am Setsuna and Lost Spehere, and found them a bit soulless, although beautiful and visually familiar. Earthlock has been the best jrpg I've played since the old school days - in maybe 12+ years. Ironically, it's not even from Japan.
Ive added a few of these to my watch list for later thankyou Skies of Fury DX, Mantis Burn Racing, Sky Force Reloaded, Toki Tori, Aqua Kitty UDX look interesting.
Awesome picks. I haven't played any of these yet. It's easy to fall behind on great games so thank you for making a video like this, MJR! Some (Somewhat) Nintendo Switch Hidden Gems I'd STRONGLY recommend people to give a shot: - Gunhouse (reviewed on my channel) - PUZZLE/TOWER DEFENSE game - Flinthook - ROGUELIKE ACTION/PLATFORMER - Yono and the Celestial Elephants (reviewed on my channel) - ZELDA-ISH - Earth Atlantis(reviewed on my channel) - UNDERWATER SHUMP - Slain: Back from Hell - CASTLEVANIA-ISH - Poly Bridge - BRIDGEBUILDER I'm always game to try more too!
You have to mention Floor Kids (break dancing rhythm game). That game deserves so much more attention. It was a very successfully accomplished passion project that is a blast to play with friends.
Josh Rafail yeah, if when I finally buy a Switch I want Kid Koala sounds to inspire me to play. I heard that game is short af tho. Given budget is limited I hope I can still buy physical and support that studio for a much deeper sequel.
Sky Force Reloaded is a fantastic party game! It’s great fun to switch controllers between each other, and co-op through the game. The gameplay is so addicting, that we end up playing all night, which we have done several times. Buy it!! ❤️
Night in the Woods. Played it on Steam. Still can't believe how good it was. Cute widdle cartoon animals with the most real problems and dialogue you've ever seen. Add an amazing soundtrack, and it's one of the best games I've played in years. I'm on like playthrough 5 or 6 and I'm still finding things I missed.
Even for a non-Switch owner, there is enjoyment for me in these videos. I never know when I may obtain a console. But when I do I like knowing whats out there. And even if I don't get to them, its a good time watching. Keep em coming! 💪👍
Mantis Burn is cool, a la Motorstorm RC, and I really enjoy it, but the online play doesn't usually have any open matches that I've ever seen, and I'm on the Pro level 2 I think.....does anyone else notice that online play is usually empty?!?!?
Check out: Steredenn: Binary Stars (rogue-lite shmup [amazing game]) A Hole New World (creative side-scroller) Neurovoider (twin-stick shooter, rogue-lite) Enter the Gungeon (twin-stick shooter, rogue-like) Implosion (budget character action?) A Robot Named Fight (SHAMELESS Metroid rip-off with randomly-generated maps that's actually really good) Earth Wars (budget character action) Mighty Gunvolt Burst (Mighty No. 9 apology) The Mummy Demastered (Contra-vania?) RIVE: Ultimate edition (twin-stick shooter) Knight Terrors (Flappy Bird-like) Gunbarich for Nintendo Switch (Breakout with much Japan, actually pretty creative) Blaster Master Zero (updated Blaster Master with DLC characters available) World of Goo (structure-based puzzler) Thumper (rhythm, great aesthetic) Celeste (platformer heaven...or hell...) Most of these aren't exclusives, but they're all good.
It is! I bought it the other day. For just 20 bucks, you get the old FF9 experience all over again, with character progression similiar to FFX-1 if you're familiar with those games. However, the combat system is a lot smarter since then. :)
I would recommend Serial Cleaner. It's a 2D stealth game with '70s vibe. You're a cleaner and have to clean murder scene without being discovered. If you get caught, it will be a lot harder...
Yooo, you and I are set out on a journey to prove to everyone that the nintendo switch is definitely the greatest console ever lmao.. Keep up the quality content!
I do not have an Switch, but it was good I watched this Video, I played Sky Force Reloaded almost all weekend on my Xbox! Totally addicted! I want more games like that! The last time I was this into a SHMUP, must have been when I played Tyrian! 20+ years ago! I wonder if Tyrian is still as good.
Always willing to eat up Switch recommendations. I was on the fence about getting Skies of Fury, but I'm most definitely sold on it now, so thanks! However, in regards to the Kona section...let's all agree to kill the term "walking-simulator" once and for all! It's super reductive.
If you like twin stick shooters, NeuroVoider is a must. Up to four players couch co-op, random levels, random enemies, random item drops and upgrades. If you die once (or if you nor any of your friends can survive a level) game over. Excellent soundtrack too.
I've been following you for a while and never commented before, but I wanted to say I always look forward to your videos! You make great content and you're a super nice guy! Keep it up! :)
Thanks for the Skyforce Reloaded suggestion. I’m completely hooked!! I’m generally terrible at top down shooters, but this one has such strong mechanics and tight controls it’s impossible not to love. The core gameplay loop with the drip drip of progression is expertly done…just one more run…
Oh wow! MJR is still making new content! Awesome! Was worried you got a actual job again or gave up. You went from being a busy full time youtuber to barely posting weekly. Love this video!
There are Xbox One hidden gems? Lol, there's barely any Xbox games that aren't on every other platform including a smart phone, let alone anything that's "hidden", Halo 13 is hardly hidden, nor is Forza 28.
systematik lol does it matter?? The "hidden gems" metal jesus shared for the switch aren't exclusives either............... So your point being what again?
I recently picked up Rayman Legends Definitive edition and Axiom Verge, both were splurge purchases at my local Toys R Us due to their closeout prices. Both games are surprisingly good. Rayman has all the elements of my favorite platformers in one game. Axiom Verge is great for anyone looking for a classic Metroid style game. Games like these make me love my Switch. I grew up with NES and SNES, so I love all the retro style games coming out for the system. Great video and I love the show! Thanks Metal Jesus!
At the crazy rate the switch shop is getting games i cant keep up! Videos like this are awesome. Thank you MetalJesus! At least two of those i plan to pick up now. \m/
I know the Switch community definitely appreciates these videos because sometimes we don't wanna risk a buy on a eShop game if its not praised for being good. I'm glad you did this video so I can play some new eShop games I had no idea that was on there.
Saito86 I'd say that's probably the best thing to do though for a true price drop considering how almost all switch games have held their value at $60 might be best to check Craigslist get it pre-owned or wait for a gamestop sale.
can't believe it took 20 years to get the sequel of Mario 64, never mind the best Zelda game of all time, god bless the Nintendo Switch, with everyone doubting Nintendo it rose from the ashes like a Phoenix
+aquacamel which one is that? the game boy one? DX? yes that one is great, loved it as a kid and finally beat it on my 3DS download, link between worlds was pretty good too, minish cap is a great top down Zelda as well
Yeah none of these games are for me, still waiting on the game that blows my mind and makes me buy a switch . Thanks for the video MJR! Always appreciate the effort.
Game Opinions You know there are people who looks for content in games and not the damn graphics. A game without a heart and soul is just another Call of Battleduty Fieldfront.
Game Opinions for me , No. I grew out of Mario. I only have interest in playing the classic ones I played as a kid. Have no interest in playing zelda. The art style in BOTW looks ugly to me. There would have to be some exclusive survival horror game that's good enough for me to get a switch. Same as I bought a gamecube, at the time resident evil 4 was an exclusive and I bought it then
I’m still not sold on the Switch. Now with DK Tropical Freeze, I’m getting there though. I’ll probably wait for Yo-kai Watch 4, at least if they release 3 and Busters on the 3ds first. Not that anyone was asking 😂
You could also try Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It's very JRPG-ish compared to the first one (I never played X); but if you like Yokai Watch because of collecting Yokai, you miiight like XB2 as well.
Great Video as always! I would recommend Subsurface Circular, its a text adventure where you are a robot "detective" out to find the truth. Great Soundtrack too.
Fantastic as always! There's way too much good stuff on the Switch eShop. Some eShop games I would recomend: A Robot Named Fight, Mercenaries Saga Chronicles, Golf Story, Snake Pass, Nine Parchments, Celeste, Fast Racing RMX, Blossom Tales, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus, Namco Museum, Enter the Gungeon, Streets of Red, Völgarr the Viking, Yooka-Laylee
I havent played Sky Force Reloaded (yet), but i HAVE played Sky Force Anniversary and it is AWESOME!!! Got it free on PS+, played about 12 hours then later on bought the Steam version and put 23 hours into it getting all the achievements, cards, and collectibles in the game.
80's Overdrive is a great racing game. It's a Outrun, Too gear snes style racing game. Great vehicles to choose Delorean to Ferraris. Great Synthwave soundtrack to boot.
oh yeah i saw that one too. i just figure you done so many of them you ran out of hidden gems. or you don't have as much time to sit down and find them much. not complaining just an observation i made. i like these whenever they come out
Been playing Skies of Fury lately myself and it’s so fun to just play. Trying to beat all the challenges and unlock all the skins and reticles have been a nice motivator.
Gotta say, I definitely don't feel it when playing Sky Force. A much better shooter for us was Xenoraid, which is more roguelike, but gives the player a much better feeling of progression. Plus, It supports up to 4 players with a lot of great twists!
Great video. Nice to put games out there that we don’t hear much about. Reminds me of going to funcoland or my locL game store and listening in on the older kids talking about best games on NES that you never heard about!
The best “hidden gem” I’ve played has been “Golf Story”, not one for gold games usually, but few games have provided me with such a good time as that one! XD
Is it too early for a Switch Hidden Gems video? Do you want to see more videos like this?
MetalJesusRocks not at all. It’s difficult to sift through the eshop in its current state.
Yes, MORE please ;)
:D check it out the gameplay ist really unique didn't see any other game like this so well
not at all, keep them coming.
Can we get a 2nd hidden gems for switch video? It’s been a while since the first, would love to see some of your recommendations after having played more!
Right? He didn't mention even one obscure game that I've seen while browsing.
Now it's been a while since the first lol
Hardcore Xbox gamer never thought I'd get another console but so glad I got the switch. If you're on the fence... Trust me get it
Couldn't agree more! I've got Xbone, PS4 and PC but I play my Switch so much more than them 😂 I had to get myself one since the first one was for my son and I wanted to play it too, and now my wife says she needs one 😅
A PS4...trust me...get it...lol...but the Switch is nice too...
Still feel that way all they did was port it should be called nintendo port cause its all ports and its portable
I recommend these Switch games as well.
Knight Terrors
Blossom Tales
Mighty Gunvolt Burst
Blaster Master Zero
Battle Chef Brigade
Wulverblade
Deemo
Golf Story
Fast RMX
Celeste
Kaiser499 I've just 'finished' blossom tales, loved every minute! Waiting for gunvolt to come up in a decent sale to pick up, seems pricey to me at full price
Plus Kamiko, Steamworld Dig 2, Oceanhorn: Monster of the Uncharted Seas, Night in the Woods, Snipperclips, Oxenfree, and Graceful Explosion Machine.
Golf Story is so good.
Blaster Master Zero was a great retro throwback. That first level music.
darthlobster Steamworld Dig 2 is amazing.
Your channel is great for me to get around what games to get for my Switch, I've made a couple of wrong choices with games that weren't worth the price for me but I usually trust your taste, you know your gaming :P
I bought 'Sky Force: Reloaded' on the strength of MJR's enthusiasm and it's a great game!
Super happy i stompled upon your channel randomly. Sky Force Reloaded is a blast. Great video and thanks for the recommandation :)
The Golden Bolt's Game Reviews this! Wulverblade is crazy good and totally underrated.
I love Wulverblade, it really needs more love.

The Golden Bolt's Game Reviews The biggest jssue I had were the load times. Some of the worst on the Switch. Still a blast, but prepare to make a sandwich between levels.
Thanks for these tips, especially Sky Force Reloaded is making me happy. No chance that I would have found that without this video. Thanks!
Glad you talked about Earthlock festival of magic. I got the ps4 physical version and I think we got these updated version as well.
REGGGGIE!
REGGGGIE???
Reggie!!! Check out Gal Gunvolt on the Vita or Mighty Gunvolt Burst on the Switch (same game). Great 8bit style game that plays like the Mega Man series (devs worked on Mega Man 9 and 10).
Reggie is that true for the digital version too, that’s the one I have and I’ve been saving it for a rainy day hope it’s still good!
Thanks!
Feel free to make more of these Switch videos! I need more eshop games :)
Justin Soong 9 parchments is my favorite hidden gem.
Another hidden gem I recommend is Battle Chef Brigade.
It's a mix of 2D platformer and match 3 games, and the artstyle is full of life and absolutely gorgeous.
This was a great video and shows these games better than the eshop trailers. Sold me on a couple that I looked over before!
Glad Breakforcist Battle made the list. I enjoyed it more than I should. Love the music!
John Riggs: RIGG'd Games me and my brother both like pancapu. We saw that on your channel.
It's funny to read your comments with the "John Riggs" voice,by the way Breakforcist looks amazing.
Hey Metal Jesus, thanks for the great content! Also, thank you for suggesting Sky Force! One of the best Shmups I have ever played!
Night in the Woods is so great. An awesome narrative driven experience unlike any other game I have ever played.
Skies of Fury looks awesome!
Cant believe I saw you at my store! Great content as always I'll see you whenever you come in!
Mantis Burn Racing reminds me of Ignition. that was a fun top down racing game :D
Toki Tori was my #1 favorite WiiWare title. I’m so glad it came to Switch.
Great video, I look forward to seeing more Switch hidden gems videos in the future!
Metal Jesus is such a nice guy, I can honestly watch you all day just talking about random stuff.
Perfect timing. I got my Switch two days ago.
Emerald.Black Three words. Enter. The. Gungeon.
Yea ive only had mine for a week.
Awesome picks. I haven't played any of these yet. It's easy to fall behind on great games so thank you for making a video like this, MJR!
Some (Somewhat) Nintendo Switch Hidden Gems I'd STRONGLY recommend people to give a shot:
- Gunhouse (reviewed on my channel) - PUZZLE/TOWER DEFENSE game
- Flinthook - ROGUELIKE ACTION/PLATFORMER
- Yono and the Celestial Elephants (reviewed on my channel) - ZELDA-ISH
- Earth Atlantis(reviewed on my channel) - UNDERWATER SHUMP
- Slain: Back from Hell - CASTLEVANIA-ISH
- Poly Bridge - BRIDGEBUILDER
I'm always game to try more too!
Golf Story is the most hidden gem videogame of all time. You should check it out Jason.
Playing Earthlock on the Switch now and it feels really polished and well made. Well worth the money for sure if you like RPG's!
Rogue Aces is a ton of fun on the Switch - reminds me a lot of Wings of Fury from the Apple II.
Even though Ive heard it a billion times already, I thoroughly enjoyed the intro music! It was mixed very well!
Josh Rafail .
Sky Force Reloaded is a fantastic party game! It’s great fun to switch controllers between each other, and co-op through the game. The gameplay is so addicting, that we end up playing all night, which we have done several times. Buy it!! ❤️
Just got sky force reloaded , thanks for the great recommendation 👌
Aqua Kitty is adorable and awesome. Becomes addictive.

You always make them sound so interesting. Definitely getting a few of these.
Blossom Tales! A very charming Zelda-inspired game with quaint pixel-art and a sort of self-aware storyline.
Mantis Burn is cool, a la Motorstorm RC, and I really enjoy it, but the online play doesn't usually have any open matches that I've ever seen, and I'm on the Pro level 2 I think.....does anyone else notice that online play is usually empty?!?!?
Hey, we have a Discord which will help you connect with other players for online races > discordapp.com/invite/VooFoo
Check out:
Steredenn: Binary Stars (rogue-lite shmup [amazing game])
A Hole New World (creative side-scroller)
Neurovoider (twin-stick shooter, rogue-lite)
Enter the Gungeon (twin-stick shooter, rogue-like)
Implosion (budget character action?)
A Robot Named Fight (SHAMELESS Metroid rip-off with randomly-generated maps that's actually really good)
Earth Wars (budget character action)
Mighty Gunvolt Burst (Mighty No. 9 apology)
The Mummy Demastered (Contra-vania?)
RIVE: Ultimate edition (twin-stick shooter)
Knight Terrors (Flappy Bird-like)
Gunbarich for Nintendo Switch (Breakout with much Japan, actually pretty creative)
Blaster Master Zero (updated Blaster Master with DLC characters available)
World of Goo (structure-based puzzler)
Thumper (rhythm, great aesthetic)
Celeste (platformer heaven...or hell...)
Most of these aren't exclusives, but they're all good.
Earthlock looks gorgeous! Kind of reminds me of some nice classic PS1 JRPG’s
It is! I bought it the other day. For just 20 bucks, you get the old FF9 experience all over again, with character progression similiar to FFX-1 if you're familiar with those games. However, the combat system is a lot smarter since then. :)
I'm skeptical since most JRPG's these days are too easy and childish with bare bones story and cringey dialog.
Thank you so much for this video. I just bought my Switch and I'm looking for games like those :)
Skies of fury looks pretty sweet, may check that out
SkyRogue has better gameplay and awesome co-op campaign
Reminds me of Crimson Skies
If it had Online play similar to War Thunder would be cool
@@upyoursenator just wanted to say this!!
I would recommend Serial Cleaner. It's a 2D stealth game with '70s vibe. You're a cleaner and have to clean murder scene without being discovered. If you get caught, it will be a lot harder...
Thought it might be early for Switch hidden gems but I'll have to dig into some of these
Yooo, you and I are set out on a journey to prove to everyone that the nintendo switch is definitely the greatest console ever lmao.. Keep up the quality content!
Hidden gems galore! Great to see this Brother. Looking forward to more!
Super Bomberman R, incredibly underrated game, with the classic bomberman style, hidden gem n my book 💎
These vids are dangerous for my wallet man, thank tho, copped a few titles! Great work as usual!
This video just cost me a lot of money.
Lon.TV .
.
I've been following you for a while and never commented before, but I wanted to say I always look forward to your videos! You make great content and you're a super nice guy! Keep it up! :)
Love the content
Thanks so much!
I just got the switch I couldn’t find the hidden golf game everybody was talking about
Are you referring to Golf Story?
+Willy Rosado It's called golf story
Thanks for the Skyforce Reloaded suggestion. I’m completely hooked!! I’m generally terrible at top down shooters, but this one has such strong mechanics and tight controls it’s impossible not to love. The core gameplay loop with the drip drip of progression is expertly done…just one more run…
Skies of Fury DX looks pretty cool.. i need to check that out. I don't think Sky Force is hidden but it is a gem.
Mantis burn racing reminds me of a new RC pro am. Love hidden gems like this.
Thanks! we love that game > discordapp.com/invite/VooFoo
Bu..bu.. But, I thought the Switch had no games :)
Oh wow! MJR is still making new content! Awesome! Was worried you got a actual job again or gave up. You went from being a busy full time youtuber to barely posting weekly. Love this video!
I have ALWAYS been posting twice a week for the past couple years. Click the bell icon to get notified when I release new videos :)
Will you be doing a Xbox one hidden gems, or a buying guide episode anytime soon??
Joost Memorial lol what?
N-Gage hidden gems was really killer dude-bro
There are Xbox One hidden gems? Lol, there's barely any Xbox games that aren't on every other platform including a smart phone, let alone anything that's "hidden", Halo 13 is hardly hidden, nor is Forza 28.
systematik lol does it matter?? The "hidden gems" metal jesus shared for the switch aren't exclusives either...............
So your point being what again?
The exclusive games on Xbox one are most definitely hidden
I recently picked up Rayman Legends Definitive edition and Axiom Verge, both were splurge purchases at my local Toys R Us due to their closeout prices. Both games are surprisingly good. Rayman has all the elements of my favorite platformers in one game. Axiom Verge is great for anyone looking for a classic Metroid style game. Games like these make me love my Switch. I grew up with NES and SNES, so I love all the retro style games coming out for the system. Great video and I love the show! Thanks Metal Jesus!
Isn't the whole purpose of grinding to become more powerful...?
....depends on what kind of "grinding" we are talking about ;) #Giggity
At the crazy rate the switch shop is getting games i cant keep up! Videos like this are awesome. Thank you MetalJesus! At least two of those i plan to pick up now. \m/
Hydraulic Press Channel intro music playing in the beginning
Yeah, we all share a common UA-cam music library that won't trigger a copyright strike.
I know the Switch community definitely appreciates these videos because sometimes we don't wanna risk a buy on a eShop game if its not praised for being good. I'm glad you did this video so I can play some new eShop games I had no idea that was on there.
Getting Tropical Freeze today!
Same here never had a Wii u. I'm fucking stoked
thats the 1st game i want once i get a switch
waiting on a price drop for it but that will be awhile.
Saito86 I'd say that's probably the best thing to do though for a true price drop considering how almost all switch games have held their value at $60 might be best to check Craigslist get it pre-owned or wait for a gamestop sale.
This is the list I have been looking for, great job.
can't believe it took 20 years to get the sequel of Mario 64, never mind the best Zelda game of all time, god bless the Nintendo Switch, with everyone doubting Nintendo it rose from the ashes like a Phoenix
Ross Robertson you know that sunshine and galaxy exist right?
you know we already have had the best zelda and it's called Link's Awakening, right?
+Tim Johnson yup, played em and they dont measure up
+aquacamel which one is that? the game boy one? DX? yes that one is great, loved it as a kid and finally beat it on my 3DS download, link between worlds was pretty good too, minish cap is a great top down Zelda as well
imo odyssey is the worst of the 4(5) followed by 64 but whatever suits you ;)
After your last hidden gems Switch video, I picked up Knight Terror and I love it.
hidden gems on a new console already?
Maruko Chan 99 exactly
Maruko Chan 99 yep I’ve never heard of any of these and I’ve owned a Switch since day one
There are currently 1030 games on Switch. Are you familiar with all of them? Hopefully this video helps expose some of the lesser known games.
MetalJesusRocks holy shit it's been a year and already that many games?
my little brother would probably enjoy these
All these games look incredibly fun! Thanks for sharing these, I'm glad to see something that looks like a great dog fighting game!
Yeah none of these games are for me, still waiting on the game that blows my mind and makes me buy a switch . Thanks for the video MJR! Always appreciate the effort.
What blows your mind? xF
None of Nintendo's first party games look amazing? lol
Same as I bought a gamecube, at the time resident evil 4 was an exclusive and I bought it then
Skyrim?
kingkold
Ahhh. This list is so refreshing. Im excited to try some of these games!!
Kind of early to do a Hidden Gems, don't you think MetalJesus?
There's plenty of people that say the Swich has no games O;
Exactly
Almost 1000 games now on Switch. Time to highlight some that people may not know about.
FINALLY! Someone talks about Sky Force Reloaded! :D
I’m still not sold on the Switch. Now with DK Tropical Freeze, I’m getting there though. I’ll probably wait for Yo-kai Watch 4, at least if they release 3 and Busters on the 3ds first. Not that anyone was asking 😂
Speedmarx haha this is the first time on earth the words "Yokai watch would really tip the scale on getting a switch" have been said.
Eh, I bought the Switch solely for Breath of the Wild...do not own a single other game for it...still worth it
clelvis225 same here
You could also try Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It's very JRPG-ish compared to the first one (I never played X); but if you like Yokai Watch because of collecting Yokai, you miiight like XB2 as well.
Frank C I’m going to get Mario eventually
Skyforce Reloaded is such a great game. Glad its getting coverage. Nice video man
Dude I love your videos... it's never too soon for some Metal Jesus enthusiasm... keep them coming please!
Great Video as always! I would recommend Subsurface Circular, its a text adventure where you are a robot "detective" out to find the truth. Great Soundtrack too.
I don't know if you'd consider Golf Story a "hidden" gem, but it is a great take on an RPG in a golf course universe. Fun arcade-style mechanics.
Sky Force Reloaded looks like a perfect game for my Switch. Thanks MJ!
I would highly recommend Butcher as a Switch hidden Gem, awesome platforming and action that can be very difficult.
Fantastic as always! There's way too much good stuff on the Switch eShop.
Some eShop games I would recomend:
A Robot Named Fight, Mercenaries Saga Chronicles, Golf Story, Snake Pass, Nine Parchments, Celeste, Fast Racing RMX, Blossom Tales, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus, Namco Museum, Enter the Gungeon, Streets of Red, Völgarr the Viking, Yooka-Laylee
Great Synthwave soundtrack to boot.
seems like you haven't done a hidden gems episode in forever. glad to see another one
I did a PS2 Hidden Gems with Reggie last week. Check it out!
oh yeah i saw that one too. i just figure you done so many of them you ran out of hidden gems. or you don't have as much time to sit down and find them much. not complaining just an observation i made. i like these whenever they come out
Nice, I’ve missed hidden gems videos. Two of them in a fortnight. Keep up the good work
Loving Sky Force Reloaded. You rock MJ
Cool, never heard of any of these, and I keep up with this stuff religiously. You should turn this into a regular series.
Count Lucanor is a pretty cool puzzle / horror game. Definitely worth a play.
Thanks for showcasing these games. Hope you do another Switch Hidden Gems video.
Sky Force Reloaded is one of my favorite switch games. I play it just as much as much as my physical releases.
Was worried I lost your channel, so glad I came across your content again, legit legend!! 🔥🔥
XD
