- JoJo Siwa who has made it into the “Dancing with the Stars” semifinals with her partner Jenna Johnson is reflecting on how the show has made her transition into womanhood. “You have literally watched my transition into womanhood as I have experienced it,” the 18-year-old said. Adding, “I’ve seen changes in my body and I’m liking what I’m seeing and confidence-wise I’m changing too and that’s making me more ok in my own skin…Transitioning into womanhood is wild, it’s wild, I’ve never shown this much of my body, I’ve never worn anything like this before.” “DWTS” airs Monday nights on ABC.

I must admit that I'm infatuated with JoJo, her beauty, maturity, and how articulate she is. Whatever influence Jenna is having on her I hope it continues after DWTS! They are both rays of sunshine and positivity that we all need right now!
Spot on. They're both great influences on each other. Jenna is older and has a lot to share with JoJo. But also JoJo has a lot to teach Jenna about being courageous and doing things she thought weren't possible. Jenna is the only person I can see JoJo with. It's just beautiful to see them both happy to be dancing together. JoJo really is a beautiful person. I only saw little glimpses on the Dance Mom's clips I watched of her. She is kind of like me. We like to talk too much. 😂. I think they have both gained new fans through DWTS.
I’m so glad they won their dance-off. I kept not wanting the camera to cut away because the connection was great.
I'm glad JoJo addressed the expectations set by the people who think she's at an advantage because she used to dance when she was little. Comparing football to baseball, like she said
Please say it louder!! I am very happy she mentioned this because it is exhausting hearing people say she shouldn't be on the show because she was dancer. I danced for 17 years and took some ballroom technique and it was very difficult.
Agree 💯, she danced before but not ballroom, they deserved to win, they went beyond perfection
They have a beautiful connection and friendship. I truly hope they continue this friendship after the end of the show. I've enjoyed getting to see JoJo grow through this show. I am glad she has Jenna to lean on in this life. I think even Jenna has grown as a person through JoJo. Everyone has a lot to learn from each other. I think their bottom two comeback was incredible. They rumbad and salsa'd (sp?) their way into the semifinal. Loving it. I actually came to love JoJo through this competition. I always just thought she was "too much" but that's just her. She's really a sweet person who is incredibly driven. I didn't really know Jenna before this show either.
I am not a child so I am gonna say that I didnt really know about jojo except from all the bows in shoe stores lol
Jenna..did not know her either. They are super together. Their personal lives r non r business as ours is not theirs. We share what we share. Joy should be the focus in life.
I am 46. Grew up in small town. Lesbian..alone. Wore a tux to prom in 1994. It is beautiful to see how jojo is at her age to what I wished would had happened for myself also then. Hate is negative. This world needs to stop all hate..
I think Jojo, and Jenna are the best pairing because Jenna has helped Jojo grows,and mature out of her child star" phase. I really hope they win the miror ball, but at this point its anyone games.
Not only does she look more womanly, but she has become so fit and strong. Her waist has lengthened and become more shapely. She is now less hyper and has more control of her movements and how she speaks. I hope she can continue this change even when the competition is over. I know her fan base is going to widen immensely!!! ❤💋
Agree, but I’m not so sure about her body changing that much as people said. I think she was cover in fabric before, and now she’s showing her curves, but I guess there were there after puberty

She can't be a teenager forever. Her fans are growing up also, and they will lose interest in that. They may not follow her through this (they have their own lives), but it gives her a chance to reach new fans. Many who are watching her now had never heard of her before this. Now the question is what she will do with the new exposure. She may have some contractual obligations to Nickelodeon playing the young JoJo, singing the old songs. But then what? Singer? Actress?
Jojo please don't go back to the huge hair bows. You are too old for them now.

i hope that they continue to incorporate the incredible chemistry they have into their dances because this week was by far their best. i don’t know how, but they keep showing themselves up week after week and i’m so excited to see what they do next week.

I noticed that this week. I think this is helpful in her transition from little girl- all pink bubble gum princess type. To a woman. Now it’s her call what to do with that but so far she looks gorgeous, and seems to just be captivating. :) I’ve never liked her more- and I’ve watched her since dance moms. :)
I actually found myself thinking I hope they put two women together every season after this one.

Back in the eighties my cousin and I, both being female were dancing together at Disneyland and got reprimanded by staff. Things have changed but also too slow when people still think this is weird. Grow up

Will she keep being Jojo with bows, the kids’ queen? Or will she move over to a more mature audience? She can keep her kid atar act. In Latin America, Xuxa, from Brazil, have been a kid entertainer for many years, since the early 90’s. Jojo should research Xuxa and meet her. She’s like in her 50’s now.

I hope after the finals they stay friends and keep their sister bond. I’m gonna miss seeing them together every week and dancing. Jenna has bought Jojo out of her shell so much and she has matured. Jojo is an amazing dancer and Jenna has done amazing at choreography

An honest, hardworking teenager! But to the powers that be at DWTS: Is it really fair to have a trained dancer(JoJo) competing against amateurs? No.
it’s dancing with the stars - not dancing with unknown stars with no dance background. if they filter all the stars with no dance background they’d be left with z-list celebrities and unknown personalities. same with The Masked Singer, they have celebrities competing in there with singing background and with NOT. it’s all about the STARS not the dance or singing background!

It's not the first time that trained dancers have competed on DWTS. Also, at 5:30 JoJo addresses that exact concern admitting that she hasn't really competed in years and that she never danced a Salsa, Rumba, or Tango before. Sure, she has skills, but that didn't stop her and Jenna from being at the bottom of the leader board a week ago!

Unoriginal comment. 8 weeks into the show now. Moot point. So over people saying it's not fair for JoJo to be in the competition. So many of the celebrities have some sort of dance background this year and have in the past seasons. Plus she does not have ballroom dancing experience. Also lets not forget she is doing lifts in heels!! Just saying people need to take everything into account not fixate on one aspect.

@@crisemm5207 laws, rules, etc. do not determine who we are. Age is subjective. Some people are more adult acting/doing than others. And as a society we usually criticize young people, especially girls, who act way older than they are. JoJo is refreshing and there is NOTHING TO LOOK DOWN ON. She's positive, joyful, empowering and sends a great message to her young fans. Her young fans WANT her to entertain them just as she has. How about acknowledging GOOD and not knocking someone being so wholesome.
And if they win for the fact of 2 girls dancing this show is reach the bottom of the barrel they’ll loose lots of viewers what next year 2 guys hey they talked about lgbt so is that the reason dwts decided to this now
Are you even watching? They’re by far the most talented couple on there with practically all 10s each dance. If she wins it’s because of her talent, but I’m sure plenty of homophobic people will claim it’s just because it’s two women. 🙄
