Sugababes stand on their own despite the different eras they had throughout the years. I discovered them with Heidi many years ago, although I’ve grown to appreciate Siobhan and her contribution to keep the legacy alive ✨👏🏽✨
Lmaoo wtf was that 02:40 could the Jordan guy be any more cringe, why is it when I watch these things? The crowd always looks so dead and I can never get a ticket to go all the times when I would listen back in the day and people would win tickets to go to the summertime ball but the crowd would always look so dead and that Mexican wave was pitiful, anyways I’m only here for the Sugababes love them seen them live so many times LIVE, they sound and look great as ever!
I'm sorry love the girls but the guitar was way to heavy on Round Round. They don't give strong mezzo's to match it. Still love them. That song inspired me and I got mad respect for it. The reverb just I don't know, maybe a mixing issue
I don’t like how in that video montage they cut out Heidi and Amelle, especially Heidi because the massive success came when she joined Sugababes. Siobhan had no success really in Sugababes.
Great to see them back and enjoying themselves ! , buuut syphoning Heidi's energy much Siobhan ? That's life I guess. The Gary Newman sample was amazingly done. The suga babes were / are great , in every incarnation.
Preferred Sugababes 2.0 tbh.. the major success didn’t really happen until Heidi was in the band. Siobhan just feels out of place here doing songs she had no part in. Maybe that’s why the crowd vibe is off she only released a few singles with them initially so nobody remembers her lol
Also a lot of the singles aren’t really Siobhan’s type of music, she’s already said Red Dress wasn’t her thing but they’ve changed the live version and she’ll perform it now as the live version is a bit more credible.
Speaking of people who felt out of place singing songs they had no part in, were you this outraged when Amelle was butchering the entire 2.0 catalogue or when Heidi was bleating her way through Overload, Run For Cover, and One Foot In? Why would Keisha and Mutya want to go backwards when they can finally harmonize and equally co-write as a group again.
@@makarrembw Mutya isn’t a fan of Red Dress, Round Round, and a handful of their Xenomania produced songs and yet she still recorded, performed, and continues to perform them live. So what’s your point? A pop singer recording and performing music that isn’t “their type of music” is nothing new or unheard of. Funny how the goal post is always moved when it comes to Siobhan or even Keisha and Mutya when you people feel like complaining about Heidi.
@@thisisabh yeah actually.. once Mutya left the group I stopped caring for them because Amelle wasn’t a great singer and she wasn’t a great person either. They still had a couple good songs like About You Now and Red Dress but I still stand by it when I say 2.0 was the best lineup of Sugababes.
I like Sugababes, their songs are classics. But they lack stage presence. They just kinda stand around. In comparison to Girls Aloud who have as many comparable hits, but are much greater entertainers. Stage value and production is much higher for GA. Sugababes are better in vocals, but they lack connection with the audience.
But they have never been a dance group, they always just stood there and sung. And at least they can all sing. Girls Aloud was carried by Nadine doing all the work and the others singing scraps, most of the time their backgrounds they never sung a note on, all Nadine and abit of this one and a bit of that one. At least Sugababes all sung on their tracks.
I love them, but singing anything from the Sugababes 3.0 era (with Amelleh and Heidi) feels extremely presumptuous. I can kind of accept them singing songs from 2.0, not further than that. Closing with “About You Now”? Mutya and Siobhan were not even there (under their own decision) when that song was released.
