Am I the only one who thought that HTC showed more natural colours. And the only thing that was worse than Note 8's cam was sharpness and stabilization.
Даниил Султаншин What about the poor dynamic range of the htc, where the note 8 had far more detail in the shadows?
Даниил Султаншин note 8 is over sharpened and over brighness images u11+ is better in every angle
Makesh M You need an eye exam. The Note 8 isn't "overbrightened", either. That's proper HDR, where as the htc phone is too dark.
i think so.
The shots at 1:38 and 2:47 have the biggest differences. In the shot at 1:38 the Note 8 washes out all the colour and blows out a lot of the detail due to the sun while the U11+ gets a really good shot. At 2:47 the U11+ overcompensates for the sun and makes the image way too dark, shows the pros and cons of both approaches to dealing with the sun.
Hallelujah, at last someone who actually seems to know what they are talking about. The majority of people who comment on these camera comparisons are regurgitating nonsense they've read on other comparison channels/sites and couldn't tell you the difference the exposure triangle and the Bermuda triangle if their lives depended on it. (Now they will all run off and google, "exposure triangle", lol.).
Try using the Google HDR+ camera app (through XDA) for the U11, with better dynamic range and processing I think it could be the best smartphone camera of 2017.
Jay Rao All Snapdragon 6xx,821,835 devices support Google Pixel 2 camera app with HDR+ but it doesn't have manual controls which is crucial n also requires AOSP rom
Jay Rao it already is. This guy is always downing HTC. The footage on the U 11 plus looked far better to me.
Lol... do you not know that I run htcsource.com? I'm actually a huge HTC fan, but that doesn't mean that I can't point out when another device performs better than an HTC smartphone.
+High Tech Traveler cool, I didn't know you run a website (i'm new to your channel). I know the Note 8 performs better in some situations than HTC but I am just curious how much using the google camera app would improve the camera. I am not an HTC fanboy but still like their smartphones. Thank you for your reply, and making great content.
dude stop it already you're embarrassing yourself with your falsely accusations...
u11 plus 👍
I actually think the U11+ has the better camera. I think this will be my next smartphone.
I guess you like really dark photos with low dynamic range...
Nick Motsarsky Correct
Magnetar83 no ,it doesn't I have now note 8 after I previously had u11 and Samsung s camera is better, especially in low light,it's way better,HTC tends to overexpose too much, and also video stabilization much better and smoother on note
Awwwwwww beautiful dog!!!!!! 🐶❤️ I’m impressed with the U11 Plus. It’s a shame it will not be available in the US.
Maria Elena Cabrera or Australia by the looks of it. Am really tempted to get the 11+ serves Google right for leaving htc for 2xl. Google could of had the best phone but no they changed there mind at the last minute
Wowww HTC U11 plus
What are you talking about? just watch the video on at least 1080p resolution and check the dark scenes again. HTC U11+ has a lot more noise on those scenes!
Great video many thanks 👍. Kinda weird I was thinking exactly the same thing as you commentated! I think HTC has to join the trend of dual lens in the camera department on their next phone.
Being a Note 8 owner and of the Pixel XL 2 too later next week, I'm really contemplating buying the HTC U11+ (Dual SIM, 128GB version) or the OnePlus 5T as my 3rd device. I'm really impressed with the HTC U11+ so far (after seeing and reading more about it).
TheManInUrMirror! Just go for it! I bought it as my fifth device!
My opinion is htc win the test specialy inside the car and night time i prefere htc
Is the U11+ camera set to HDR auto on ? Btw great comparison
I really like the U11+ better
Subscribing to your channel was one of my wisest decisions ever. Good job mate.
Just for clarification, were the photos on the U11+ taken with HDR on Auto Mode and Touch Autoexposure turned on?
By the way good comparisons, keep them coming
iar1980 v good question, even I seek an answer. One Suggestion also to clean the camera lens front and back before comparing the smartphone cameras all the time. Thz days camera lenses pick up smudge v easily which may or may not be visible to the naked eye
Yes, HTC HDR Auto mode was turned on for all the shots. Images from both devices were captured with the manufacturer's default settings.
What about Touch Autoexposure, as i have seen some reviews of the U11 where if turned off it can lower the quality of the images.....
Please make a HTC u11+ software review
Another good fight video Nick 🎬 They both perform very well but my preference goes to the HTC caus' i do prefer this brand and products in comparison with Samsung and because I'm a HTC 10 owner ! 🏆
Did you use HTC's HDR boost mode while taking those clicks?
I can't really tell which is better.
Do you know if the HTC U11 or the U11+ could have a portrait mode using the same idea as the Pixel 2 does?
Since they are using Dual Pixel on the sensor, there is a possibility, Right?
The colors look more natural on the HTC U11+ to me, but in the low light situations (aka with the highlights) note 8 does a better job. Which is a shame, i really want HTC do better, they're doing great smartphones with cameras with no oversharping. Oversharping on the note 8 is... huge. Also, video stabilization is better on the note 8.
Also, i freaking love your channel. So many useful content and you're talking to your subscribers, thank you.
The front facing for HTC and the back one for the note 8
Great camera shootout, I might regretting ordering the Note 8, didn't knew the front camera was that bad.... well i guess i cant have it all.
Both cameras are too good. Can't go wrong with either one.
Qyll Rs Exactly, and they both have their pros and cons compared to each other. As you said, you can't go wrong with either one.
HTC U11 win in 4:21 with more detailed things despite there is noise.
But note 8 win in general with the best stabilisation, low noise in nightlight, better exposition light and more clearness.
That being said, i prefer HTC U11+ because the color is more natural, the microphone are better, the front camera is better, this phone have a mode "Micro acoustic" and better HDR
Ps: +1 subscribe ✌
Continue your progression 👊
Ame-Kun /-San I know about Acoustic focusing in U11 but what is this micro acoustic mode u just mentioned. Is it the same as in U 11 or something different ?
Kunal Tiku
I speak "Acoustic focus" when we zoom in video and the sound become stronger.
Only HTC u11 or u11+ can do that ✌
Note 8 vs Pixel xl 2 please asap.
Why the audio in htc so bad?
Congrats Man! Nice video.
Is the video stabilization on the Note 8 that much better?
The difference in the video scene walking through trees is very shaky on the U11+ but so smooth on the note 8!
Hi dear.
I need your advice:
I really doubtfull between 2 models:
1. HTC u11 + .
2. Samsung galaxy S8 + or NOTE 8.
I watch in my device a lot of movice.
I'm looking for smartphone with clear, real and vivid screen display, that shows the video more nature and real, sharp and clear with deep colors, not faded colors.
What is better for me?
Nice video, can you please:
1-compare the videos in U11+ with stabilization ON/OFF to see the difference.
2- Use Google cam app with HDR+.
3- Compare camera picture result with auto mode and manual mode.
Thank you in advance.
Front camara - htc - rear - note 8 video recording - equal my opinion is a tie
HTC U11+, 1 Camera - Note 8, 2 Camera...
little difference...
Front camera Best HTC
Sounds Best HTC
and to me, HTC Sense is better than Samsung Touchwiz
Where the fk u watch? Front cam is jittery on htc u11+... Jesus
i miss the htc days. we had metal phone cases, daul speakers/boom spund, hard glass screens, power button on top, good battery life and i miss the htc ui.... please htc bring back your htc phones we loved n miss. forget apple, samsung, lg, google phones.
Hi, any issues with the fragility? The U11 glass easily broke. Does the U11+ have the same issue?
In my opinion HTC 11+ front facing camera is better than N8. It produces clearer detail and dynamic range especially on your face is much better.
Regarding main camera yes dynamic range is slightly better on N8 but the detail often is better on 11+. I downloaded files and compared them side by side. I also favour more natural WB on 11+ against warmer look on N8 but that is a preference for each of us. Night time images are a little better or N8 too.
There is no doubt one can't go wrong picking either of the phones for photography unless one is specifically into bokeh imagery given N8 offer with dual cam set up.
does the htc u11+ not have any kind of portrait modes?
Good comparison, however it would of been nice to see videos side by side not different angles.
The Note 8 edged it but the U11+ is a damn good phone!
Where can you buy the htc u11+?
Very nice
HTC U11+ is just great! WoW
am a htc fan but chose to get note 8 over htc after owning htc one m8,9 and 10 just to try something new. and am happy.
does htc u11+ has potrait mode?
HTC U 11+
I think the low light shoots was better on Htc , the daY shoot was just a little better in some picture not all. Overall i go for Htc cause does darker shoot and great sound recording
hey buddy, can htc u11+ shoot 1080p @60/120fps? (no slowmo) natural video recording
HTC U11 Plus
Both cameras are pretty much neck and neck in photography in my opinion. Some of the shots are brighter on the HTC but mostly brighter on Samsung. In stability, I'd go for Samsung for both front and back. With mic and more natural looking photos, I'll pick HTC. You wouldn't go wrong with any of these phones though.
U11+ has better whitebalance n exposure in low night while note8 has better front facing camera and dynamic range in day light, for me they r tie
Can you compare the HTC U11+ with the Oneplus 5t, please??
please test huawei mate 10 vs htc u11
speed test and the handling experience.
Who is best?
both camera are great. but if have to choose i'll choose the note8... love the colour
why all videos about htc u
11+ are camera shoot
!!!
You change camera app?, or update?, or settings?, htcu11plus (15).jpg from 7.11. is nice sharp same place from 12.11. htcu11plus (19).jpg is blurry not sharp. What happened all pictures 12.11. are softer then from 7.11.?
no settings were changed in any of the photos.
HTC U11+ compare 7.11. - 10.11. I do not understand how it could dramatically worsen quality (sharpness). Camera was dirty smudge?

Achei a da HTC U11 PLUS, levemente superior 🇧🇷
Test pin htc U11 plus vs htc U11
Want to see u11+ 6gb version speed tests vs others
The photo in the car, where on note 8 you can't see whats on the screen says it all.
HTC bet that
Thank you. Good video
Good Review !!!
Sir, your area is very nice where you live i like your videos
U 11 camera is better note 8 is good but in few pictures it was overexposed more than enough light like in dashboard pic. Even your face looking more white in note 8 and in U11 it's pretty natural.
The note is just boss. But I have a soft spot for HTC
wow, the quality of voice recording on u11+ is way better than s8
hTC其實很好用
they are both petty good to me
U11 + all day and night, better sound and much better front camera, and 4 mics and 3D sound, and with the Google HDR+ camera app from XDA the Note 8 wouldnt have a chance much less any other phone for 2017 and Q1 2018 probably.
Lets talk real. Dynamic range is a lot better with the note 8 and in low light Note 8 just stretches its lead even further. For the selfie cam, HTC U11+ is better although its rendering the face a bit pinkish.
I see no big differences between these two cameras, but considering the price, U11+ is way better
It s htc u11+ does better here with more natural colors...
I love both phones...
But i love my note 8.
Htc is really a awesome phone
All HTC needs to do is tone down the exposure a bit.
Michał Ostrowski o
HTC for the win. note 8 just washes the colours out lights them up and make them look unrealistic...
I have the international note8 updated with 4k 60fps only android phone that can do it
U11 plus is more true to life which is better in my eyes and the note 8 is much more saturation which can be done with a filter
U 11 plus👌
Front = htc 11+
Back = note 8 (in 80% of shots)
Video = htc 11+
HTC U11 plus
U11+ is better than note 8
Note 8
The note is better during the day, the U11+ is better at night.
u11+
U11 PLUS
I think, U11+ looks better.
HTC has a better front camera, but samsung takes better pictures at night (main camera)
Note 8 was absolutely better in rear camera 👍
HTC
note 8
All area are againt to u11.u are not honest
camera note 8 nice htc u11, colour and low light note 8 win
I think the u11 does the better job
Close again
Like for HTC
HTC have a good camera but the note8 is flawless
mostafa muhammad not true at all. Note 8 worse than iPhone X, Pixel 2 and U11+
Giacomo can you please elaborate
DeepteshLovesTECH many camera tests show that the Note 8 lacks in dinamic range and detail compared to others, and is over saturated. That being said it's still a great camera
I don't know what comparisons you've watched, but the ones I saw from the biggest channels showed the Note to have better dynamic range and better or similar sharpness and detail to the iphone X. Most declared it the winner over the iphone..
The Samsung pics turn to crap if you try to crop them.
Htc U11+ is better. Any one agree with me?
U11+ good
Note 8 has a better lowlight
u11+一整個不行
Photos By galaxy isn't Real by HTC is better
