Am I the only one who thought that HTC showed more natural colours. And the only thing that was worse than Note 8's cam was sharpness and stabilization.

Даниил Султаншин What about the poor dynamic range of the htc, where the note 8 had far more detail in the shadows?

    • @makeshagent

Даниил Султаншин note 8 is over sharpened and over brighness images u11+ is better in every angle

Makesh M You need an eye exam. The Note 8 isn't "overbrightened", either. That's proper HDR, where as the htc phone is too dark.

The shots at 1:38 and 2:47 have the biggest differences. In the shot at 1:38 the Note 8 washes out all the colour and blows out a lot of the detail due to the sun while the U11+ gets a really good shot. At 2:47 the U11+ overcompensates for the sun and makes the image way too dark, shows the pros and cons of both approaches to dealing with the sun.

Hallelujah, at last someone who actually seems to know what they are talking about. The majority of people who comment on these camera comparisons are regurgitating nonsense they've read on other comparison channels/sites and couldn't tell you the difference the exposure triangle and the Bermuda triangle if their lives depended on it. (Now they will all run off and google, "exposure triangle", lol.).

Try using the Google HDR+ camera app (through XDA) for the U11, with better dynamic range and processing I think it could be the best smartphone camera of 2017.

Lol... do you not know that I run htcsource.com? I'm actually a huge HTC fan, but that doesn't mean that I can't point out when another device performs better than an HTC smartphone.

+High Tech Traveler cool, I didn't know you run a website (i'm new to your channel). I know the Note 8 performs better in some situations than HTC but I am just curious how much using the google camera app would improve the camera. I am not an HTC fanboy but still like their smartphones. Thank you for your reply, and making great content.

I can't really tell which is better.
Do you know if the HTC U11 or the U11+ could have a portrait mode using the same idea as the Pixel 2 does?
Since they are using Dual Pixel on the sensor, there is a possibility, Right?

  • @youarebymyside

The colors look more natural on the HTC U11+ to me, but in the low light situations (aka with the highlights) note 8 does a better job. Which is a shame, i really want HTC do better, they're doing great smartphones with cameras with no oversharping. Oversharping on the note 8 is... huge. Also, video stabilization is better on the note 8.
Also, i freaking love your channel. So many useful content and you're talking to your subscribers, thank you.

HTC U11 win in 4:21 with more detailed things despite there is noise.
But note 8 win in general with the best stabilisation, low noise in nightlight, better exposition light and more clearness.
That being said, i prefer HTC U11+ because the color is more natural, the microphone are better, the front camera is better, this phone have a mode "Micro acoustic" and better HDR
    Ps: +1 subscribe ✌

    Hi dear.
    I need your advice:
I really doubtfull between 2 models:
    1. HTC u11 + .
    2. Samsung galaxy S8 + or NOTE 8.
I watch in my device a lot of movice.
I'm looking for smartphone with clear, real and vivid screen display, that shows the video more nature and real, sharp and clear with deep colors, not faded colors.
    What is better for me?

    Thank you in advance.

  • @nebulaoperator
    @nebulaoperator 6 років тому

In my opinion HTC 11+ front facing camera is better than N8. It produces clearer detail and dynamic range especially on your face is much better.
Regarding main camera yes dynamic range is slightly better on N8 but the detail often is better on 11+. I downloaded files and compared them side by side. I also favour more natural WB on 11+ against warmer look on N8 but that is a preference for each of us. Night time images are a little better or N8 too.
There is no doubt one can't go wrong picking either of the phones for photography unless one is specifically into bokeh imagery given N8 offer with dual cam set up.

In stability, I'd go for Samsung for both front and back. With mic and more natural looking photos, I'll pick HTC. You wouldn't go wrong with any of these phones though.

DeepteshLovesTECH many camera tests show that the Note 8 lacks in dinamic range and detail compared to others, and is over saturated. That being said it's still a great camera

I don't know what comparisons you've watched, but the ones I saw from the biggest channels showed the Note to have better dynamic range and better or similar sharpness and detail to the iphone X. Most declared it the winner over the iphone..

The Samsung pics turn to crap if you try to crop them.
