Looking at picking up a Marsh Runner myself. I’m in Columbia so mainly will be running it in the congaree, but will frequently bring it down to Charleston/Edisto. How’s the ride on more open water? Still pretty dry compared to the DB hulls? Thanks.
How do you like that mercury and is that the 60hp? I'm tying to decide on engines. Also what are your thoughts on the marsh runner vs an ambush elite boat for mostly fishing?
Hey man, I’m getting a Marsh Runner in the next few days, just curious if you feel the Jack Plate is needed? I’m buying a Tohatsu 60 4 stroke and curious if it’s really worth the money?
Yes 100% it’s worth the money! It will help on setup time and it will help with shallow water! Hydraulic jackplate is a need for every boat in my opinion!
I don’t think he has them in stock right now.. but no I didn’t go with the kick and jack.. I just went with the regular I think it’s called the hydro 6500?? I could be wrong.. but I don’t go in waters with stumps so it wasn’t needed for my application
Yes, marsh runner only comes in 16 foot.. Wayne’s woods and water in orangeburg sc has one coming in soon I believe give them a call tell them I sent you
Just wanted something a little bit quieter for the family.. a 90 is 100% perfect for the marsh runner though! It doesn’t ever feel like over powered.. I wouldn’t hesitate to put one on your boat
My stock 90 ran 60.. my stock 60 ran 50ish.. fuel consumption to way better on the 60.. with the 90 I could run about 60 miles half throttle on 9.5 gallons so it wasn’t terrible
@@steveroberts1280 17 is a big boat, in my opinion I wouldn’t want anything less than a 90.. but that’s my opinion… all depends on what you want to get out of it
Good to see someone fishing out of a Havoc! They are good fishing boats
Yes they are, top of the line for aluminum
I have the same one
subscribed just because you replied to every single comment, that's dedication to your base. nice boat, keep up the good work.

Also can they put the jack plate on and possibly a Yamaha instead of Mercury.
Yes he is a Yamaha/tohatsu dealer

1656 60 hp
What dealer did you buy from? I have a MFS50 looking to get a hull and trailer for
Wayne’s woods and water
what trolling motor are you using? Like it?
Minn Kota I Pilot.. and yes! Once you get the hang of the remote it’s one heck of a motor!
Why did you end up taking the 90hp yamaha off? Im trying to decide if I want the mercury 60hp or a 90hp yamaha on the same boat as you have

Anytime
Is that the marsh runner with all the options and what Camo pattern is that
Cody Head yes... only options are rear deck lid, dual rod trays and sea deck
Awesome thank you for answering me!
Most certainly welcome bud!
Any other questions you can message me on Instagram
What kind of speed are you getting to? How does it handle at that speed?
Around 50.. I just took my 90 off and actually it was easier to drive with the 90..
@@dillonwalling the 90, was it 2str or 4str? Boat didn’t seem to mind the weight?
It was 2 stroke.. so about the same weight at the four stroke.. there are a few videos of it running on my page
@@dillonwalling I’ve done creeped on over and checked it out. Looked fun.
What prop are you running. Same setup and nowhere near that speed.
Hey man, I’m still looking a Marsh Runner, any chance you’d sell yours?
No can’t sell mine.. call Wayne’s woods and water 8039972470 I think my buddy has a few in stock!
@@dillonwalling even if the price is right? Name the price, I’ll be there.
Tell me about that boat,I want one,I have a 50 merc to put on it
What you need to know bud?
@@dillonwalling Looking at a 1756 marsh runner,do you think my 50 merc would be underpowered for that rig?

Ok thanks, only reason I say the 50 is that’s what I have lol it’s on a 1548 tracker,I just want a little bigger better laid out boat
