Gotta be honest: I don't know if people were more shocked by Kanata, terrified by Marine or melting for the OkaKoro rings.

Let's put it this way...those tentacles aren't normally a part of Ina's outfit.......the only possible conclusion is that Marine's lewdness was *SO* powerful, that it literally summoned the ANCIENT ONES to her! :D
for starters, since Kanata chan has a... well... small stature, and Choco sensei is quite developed, I'm pretty sure they've talked to each other about this probably happening, but the producers decided to add it in anyway. Marine san did asked Ina to borrow the outfit, and we all know how much of perv she is so it's not surprising but surprising at the same time. we've kind of expected this but were still surprised by it. and as for OkaKoro, everyone knows how adorable they are, they've been friends together ever since their debut, of course people are going to swoon. so in the end, it's a mixture of emotions one after another in quick succession.

Fun fact. At the start, it is not Shion.But Chloe wearing Shions clothes from last years medley. Also, you can see Risu behind Korone and Okayu in their scene, her OkaKoro obsession being known even by staff at this point!

Not sure if you watched the last year's shuffle medley but would recommend if you didn't.
As to explain the Exodia in Ayame's bit in this one: Ayame is part of the 2nd Generation and that Generation is Nicknamed HoloExodia because they very rarely collab as the full group as their schedules usually don't line up (it was really only after JP Gen 3 that Hololive's generations were closely connected units. 1st, 2nd and 0th gen are relatively less close compared to other gens especially when you look at the gen as a whole (because they do have really close friendships like Shion and Aqua in Gen 2 or SorAz or MiComet from Gen 0)).
The arms are Shion and Aqua while the legs are Choco and Subaru. Making Ayame the head/body.
To explain the Exodia reference. Gen 2 is nicknamed Hololive Exodia due to how rare they gather together as a unit. Each card shown was a arm/leg is from each gen 2 member with Ayame being the head.

iirc, they did gave out the survey for the girls to fill in, which song they wanna sing, which outfit they wanna wear. So the choice for Marine to wear Ina one is definitely her own.
Tho. there is still cases where manager decided for them instead but it's mostly the girls' own decision.
I also remember Laplus mentionning that she really likes Kiara's "Do U" and wanted to perform it. Glad she could do it this way, she sure looks funny in her outfit at first, but the dancing and singing really makes up for it.

Laplus actually surprised me. She got the moves and the singing was good even though English isn't her first language. But my favorite part was nenechi.

It's funny that this is the second time that Ina's clothes have been extended, and it's also the second time that Kiara's clothes have been worn by someone with 'justice' kkkkk
Huh? I can only remember once before that another member had worn Ina and Kiara's clothes,
and the one who wore them was the same as Ina in that department, and couldn't have been further from justice.

Firstly: Polka's outfit _really_ suits Nenechi, and Okayu's outfit _REALLY_ suits Korone (I feel like, because Korone's curves are slightly bigger than Okayu's, the outfit ends up being tighter and more form fitting than normal).
Secondly: These Medleys just keep proving how dangerous certain outfits can be on the wrong avatars.
--2023: Moona with Pekora's outfit, Chloe with Shion's outfit (though Shion herself has had mega trouble with that "skirt" in 3D), & Watame with Towa's outfit. Though Miko did stretch one of Suisei's quite a bit.
--2024: Marine _really_ proved that nobody will focus on a lewd outfit if the person in it doesn't typically act lewd; and Kobo, Lap-chan, and Gura helped reinforce how dangerous Bae's, Kiara's, and Chloe's outfits can be on the wrong body types (feel like the damn FBI's gonna burst in here any moment...).
Regarding Laplus' piece of the Medley, on top of doing some absolute banger choreography, she chose one of Kiara's more technical songs that she's been obsessed with, "Do U." And she had to sing it in full English. She definitely practiced it for a few months!

There's at least one "karaoke" stream out there of her just practicing singing the song over and over, but not speaking/writing Japanese myself I can't quickly re-find it.
They all requested the song they and outfits they wanted to steal upon managers approval and then approval from the talents they'd be stealing from so like ina knew ahead of time although i dont know if she knew just how aquanted marine would get with the ancient ones. . . . All though marine did request "ina luv tentacle play" at Ina's birthday call in stream

Hololive jp gen 2 is Exodia ,like holo en myth,holo id gen 1 area15 or holo en promise something like that if i not wrong
The Gen names started with Gamers (JP Gen 2.5), continuing to JP3-Fantasy, JP4-HoloForce, JP5-HoloFive//NePoLaBo, ID1-Area 15, EN1-Myth, etc.
JP0, JP1, and JP2 were the only generations without an official unit name upon debut. JP2 gave themselves the unofficial name HoloExodia because they are rarely all together, but when they are, you win.
No. That's a joke for Gen 2 because they never get together, but when they do, like Exodia, it's an instant win
