Cool direction for Alestorm. The female vocals really work and add some variety. Really sick solo too. Theyve really upped their game with this one. I agree, this song slays and she needs to be a fulltime member. Cant stop listening to this one.
My first reaction was make her a permanent member as well. Straight up would mean they've have a live singer for the female part in "Zombies ate my Pirate Ship" too! :-P Seen Alestorm twice now in Australia at the same venue (The Triffid). Make sure you get tickets when they tour near you - that includes flights & accommodation if you have to. They really are that much fun live.
Nice reaction. :-) A few information... Patty WILL be part of the upcoming Alestorm UK-tour and it was announced that they will play all the songs they made together so far. So not only this song and "Zombies ate my pirate ship", but also "Chomp Chomp" and the others. My guess is, that they will also perform "Fucked with an anchor" together since they did that before on the gigs in Hamburg (first time ever they were together on stage for 2 songs), Bochum and Eindhoven. Aaaand - did you notice the hook on Chris' hand? He filmed this video with a broken arm... ;)
While not a permanent member, Patty is close to being one as she has played on most of the more recent Alestorm albums and has even sung on them before. She probably doesn't want to be a permanent member as she used to be in another great pirate metal band (Storm Seeker) but left to go solo. She has her own successful solo career.
Patty is getting the attention she deserves there. Her Band she had here in Germany had to split up for personal reasons not in a bad manner. But she harmonizes with Alestorm tremendously. Her as a permanent Member of alestorm would give her due credit and she would be an awesome addon for the band.
Old nightwish was amazing. But with Marko and Hahtos departure, they're all but dead. Also, forcing Troy into every song had destroyed their sound. Its a shame because theyre such a legendary band and Tuomas is one of the best song composers ever but theyre done with this current lineup. Get rid of Troy.
@@blackfox1320 glad I'm not the only one that felt that way when Marko left and I agree when it comes to Troy in almost every single damn track old nightwish was truly badass same with bad wolves
@@blackfox1320 They've always done folk rock, you fool! Troy is an integral part of their sound. The new album is supposed to be heavy, so don't judge too quickly.

The Pirate Republic is very much alive today. Long live the Pirate Republic!!
Patty is actually on tour with them right now, there is already a live video of them playing this live.

10 for 10!!!!!
Love this song. Really cool to see Patty get the spotlight.
Love this song! That chorus is crazy catchy in the best way.

Big props to the Inferi shirt
Cool combination with Patty - Good song, catchy chorus, modulation and the "high end note".
I have a soft spot for Alestorm, they are just fun, but are getting a little long in the tooth for me now. All sounds kind of the same.
Same well then and nightwish
AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE - Judgment Day
Between this band and nightwish are among the top 10 of my favorite newer rock bands

@TheOGpurpleRanger they became folk rock overnight it seems. And it's pretty lame.
