- Finally got the amazing V6 twin turbo engine together for this Renault RE 20 F1 monster. This is becoming a kit that is starting to rival my Italeri Alfa Romeo build from last year. Things are getting complicated back there with those two turbo systems!! Lots of piping!! Now have lots of issues I need to address before moving on to the gearbox-wheel assembly. Anyway hope you enjoy...talk soon...cheers Mark
Great video on hose joints and braided line! So helpful, thanks Mark
Superb meticulous work, I was looking forward to getting back to this assembly, thanks to you.
Thank you xxavier5369 for your comment, much appreciated. Glad to help you get back into your build. Even though it has the Tamiya logo on the box I am finding it to be a tough one...at the end of the day they do end up being the best models to have on your shelf!
Anyway, good luck with your build...cheers Mark
@@MKCAUTOMODELWORKS merci !
Mark, smart move on replacing the clear stock fuel lines with the thin black ones. The stocks ones are not very flexible and crimp easily which made the installation of the turbo inlet plenums above very difficult. Of course once the plenums are in place you do not see the dogs breakfast below. Cheers, Dave.
Hey David...thanks for the comment. Yes, its getting more difficult this build as we go along...you did warn me!! Would love to try a "new" kit this winter to see if things have improved with fit. Toughest Tamiya kit I have worked on so far!
Cheers Mark
Very nice . My next build. All the best from New Zealand
Hi Kelvin...Thank you for your comment...yes good luck with this one!! Do hope my build videos help you navigate around some issues I have encountered. Not my favorite Tamiya Kit in terms of fit so far, but I guess that's part of the fun! Anyway, do fell free to give me updates on your build, I would love to see how it goes for you...cheers from northern Sweden! Mark
Nice job! Left u a sub.Keep on modelling with a smile ;-) Greetings from Cologne/Germany
Danke missionm300...much appreciated!
Cheers Mark
Cool engine it's looks hard to do
Hey dorotaconchur3443
Yes its a challenge to say the least!! Spent hours today modifying the exhaust to fit (be in next video).
Its a good thing I don't include the original audio in my final edited videos:) cheers Mark
hey do you have any paint recommendation for hand brushing or any ratio
hello ykwai79mytuber...I don't hand paint much except for touch ups ect. You can use lacquer paint but best to add a very small amount of retarder in with the paint. For large areas, something like VALLEJO's acrylic might be the better option...I haven't used, but looks to be made for brush application. Hope that helps...cheers Mark
@@MKCAUTOMODELWORKS thanks lad!
hi! where did you buy this kit?
Bought my kit from a local model shop here in the north...www.modellhobby.se/en/2017-renault
...should be a few still out there, but did notice the kit has been recently discontinued from Spot model. Good luck...cheers Mark
