Hey Jeff! To help answer the questions referring to the nozzle count that can be used on the fire engine. Fire Engines have pumps that are rated at a Gallon Per Minute. If they allowed more nozzles than rated you risk running out of water constantly. And maybe even breaking the pump.
I've seen the videos of the ORBIS DC-10 in some aviation vlogs as well as some awareness videos, but I never had the chance to donate and find out more about the cause. Only watched for maybe 4-5 hours total of the streams, but was very enjoyable when I was tuning in. Glad you had fun in California and had safe travels back home to Missouri! Jeff I just wanted to share here in the Philippines, we start celebrating Christmas as early as 1st of September. Shopping centers, restaurants, offices, the streets and private residences are filled with Christmas decorations and Christmas songs. Radio and television programs also play Christmas songs. We are just much excited for the festive vibes.
Awesome video as usual. I agree with you on the Christmas music. I have been saying for a few years now that every year, we hear this music earlier and earlier and this year was no exception. I was hearing it before thanksgiving and it made me want to cut my ears off. Nothing like skipping over a holiday. I guess they think we all have nothing to be thankful for this year with inflation and all and lets not think about all of those who have survived Covid-19 up to this point. Fun facts about firefighting!! Fact 1: yellow firefighter helmets are for beginners, black is for a regular firefighter, red is for fire captains, and white is for Fire chiefs and Lieutenants! Fact 2: SCBA’s or, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, are used by firefighters to not breathe in all the toxic smoke that is pushed out by the fire itself. They look like a scuba tank and firefighter have to wear them so they may be able to go into burning buildings! Fact 3: Firefighters CANNOT GO IN ALONE! They are required to have at least one other firefighter to go in with them! Fact 4: firefighters are expected to be dressed and out the door 60 seconds after a call comes in!

Jeff, here in New England, as soon as it turns November 1 Christmas’s begins. It’s a joke here that October to January there’s just Halloween and Christmas. Thanksgiving tends to be forgotten here when it comes to decorating and what not.
As a firefighter I really enjoy this game, but I wish they could implement a lot more realistic aspects. Like in this case you should be able to request additional resources to help. I realize they have limitations, but I have a whole list of things they could add that I’m sure would be possible. I think this could be a useful training tool for resource management and tactics.
same here man every time I play I think of a million things that they could easily implement, more realistic bunker gear, a timed process to don gear, instead of a menu in between missions you sit at the station and can walk around and clean trucks, add more to the training, thicker smoke depending on the fire, less victims depending on the fire, more medical calls, more car fires, don't force using the extinguisher on those small fires give us a choice and enable the ai to use them, the scbas need a time limit until they you have to change out, etc.. got another 100 I could give but you get my point lol

I’m surprised they didn’t also add airport rescue firefighting or ARFF trucks considering you also need foam to put out an airplane fire since water might not be sufficient enough on its own.
Plus aircraft fires burn way hotter, normal turnout gear would not be able to withstand that amount of heat. The ARFF trucks normally use the foam cannons at a safe distance to extinguish those types of fires. Something I learned from a trip to the fire academy.
@Othrin that was old turnouts proximity gear is being fazed out because new turnout technology has advanced to the point that our tan and black turnouts can handle aircraft fire levels of heat now
It’s interesting the game chose to use water instead of a simulated halon system. In my time in the Navy, I came across all of the fire classes and it wasn’t fun lol. Also, DC based here, and our local pop station 97.1 is playing Christmas music.
With the Christmas Music, it'll be because it was after Thanksgiving - in Canada. Canada celebrated Thanksgiving on the 10th of October this year. In fact it is extremely common to hear Christmas Music from the 1st of November in many countries around the world, the USA is kind of the exception because of US Thanksgiving.
Born and raised in Southern California November 1st every year they switch over to Christmas music. Apparently California doesn't care about Thanksgiving.

Where I work in retail, our Christmas shipments started in mid September and were completed and set up throughout the store by early October. Our Christmas music started November 1st.
One of our family traditions is we make this edible sweet reef that looks like leaves, it’s supposed to be one of our dessert entree’s, but our family just delves into the reef right away. We call it “Thanksgiving Reef.” Also we do what you do as a tradition too Jeff, though we don’t call it a tradition. 😂

Test flights, specifically the first flight of a new airframe, usually leave the gear down for the whole flight. Although normal ditching (water landing) procedure is to have gear up so if they were aiming for the lake they weren't configured for it. Does this game not have allow you to call extra units to the scene? Seems a little unrealistic that they'd let a single fire truck battle a transport-category aircraft fire
Yeah, no ARFF trucks either is even weirder considering they carry foam which is far more effective than water, and their high mobility, and high ground clearance due to incredibly beefy suspension allows them to tackle terrain that a regular fire truck would struggle with.
And they even have snozzles, water/foam cannons with breaching tools to punch a hole through the fuselage that they can then use to inject water and foam through to fight fires that occur inside the fuselage
First off love the videos. Second if I could have one thing they add in DLC it would be this: You guys remember a Show called EMERGENCY! About Fire fighters maybe in the 80’s? When the alarm would go off it would make this distinctive sound and if I could hear that every time I roll out that would be cool

@@jfavignano thanks. I have a 3080 I9 12900k, z690-e ddr5 and there no way I can record FIVEm at 1440p maybe other games like this but not FIVEm could be just the server I play on tho compared to others like yours etc.
@@CaptianK I use NVidia in-game overlay (previously known as shadowplay) you should have more than enough power to record at that rate. I use 60fps and 50mbps
@@jfavignano most likely for all other games yes however FIVEM as you know is resource hungry and the server I play in has a lot of scripts and also running nve I’m getting some stutters with micro lag. That’s even with a dual pc setup to take the work load off my 3080. Can’t use shadowplay with elgato game capture as far as I’m aware. I just want to be able to unlock the v9 codec to get more crisp recordings as my in game quality is great. Playback experience could be better.
I've a cousin whose job was to put out extremely hot fires such as that. It's a much more dangerous job than you think. If I remember right, he did get hurt, his back tho I'm sure he may've dealt with burns as well. Just go listen to someone talk about putting out a fire from a jet and you'll get a sense of how hot those flames really get. Kuddos to my coz Steve Jr for his bravery. (I believe he's retired from that position but may still be employed in that department)
Damn man. I was in cali two weeks ago and flew out of Ontario airport back to Philly, and it was my first time ever on a plane. Im 43 and afraid of heights. Thought it was gonna turn out like a verse from the song "Ironic" 🤣 I'm not surprised Ontario is playing christmas music already.

look up silver lining roleplay on youtube and find a video of someone roleplaying as fire we do things as realistic as possible on there for gta fivem

Just a tip… the fire goes out faster if you aren’t right on top of it. You get better dispersal with the nozzle

I started playing Firefighting Simulator The Squad and I was a little rusty at first but I kept on trying but it's very hard still.

The second truck does have nozzles it right beside the back stepper door beside the outriggers in a small compartment

Damn man. I was in cali two weeks ago and flew out of Ontario airport back to Philly, and it was my first time ever on a plane. Im 43 and afraid of heights. Thought it was gonna turn out like a verse from the song "Ironic" 🤣 I'm not surprised Ontario is playing christmas music already.

My friend recently quit his second job because the only song they played all day on repeat was all I want for Christmas is you and my friend hates that song he talked to his boss about it and she said to just deal with it because it's going to stay like that until new years passes

There was some stores by me that started playing Christmas music the day after Halloween lol. I think it needs to be in December lol.
As for turkey, we have it on Thanksgiving and usually for Christmas. Turkey or ham usually. I guess this year my brother wants to make steak and lobster lol.
