The customisation on these cars is the best. It is the point of difference of the Japanese market . So far ahead in its time . These vans are streets ahead of everything. The width is perfect for parking and the attention to detail is second to none
Great video. I have had mine for 5 years now and would not change for anything else. Its an 8 seater, camper, and a van all in one. Loads of people ask what it is. love ripping the young lads off the lights using the launch control. Mine is on PLG so half price fuel too.
These vehicles were designed to be most efficient at 50 mph for Japanese speed limits. Everything is set up to run from 0-50 as quick as a 2.2 tonne van can from the lights. The only annoyance is they are actually de tuned for the Elgrand and don't tune well as other versions of these engines are able to be.
I've got a top spec model, has the works including sunroof and moon roof. Bose sounds and steering wheel controls for everything. Beautiful to drive ... one pet hate is the tan leather, wish it was black 😆. Great ride!
I absolutely love these and spent a long time deciding between importing one of these or an Alphard/Vellfire. They are all excellent vehicles and it was a close run thing but I eventually settled for the Vellfire. Hope I end up as happy with my choice as you seem to be with yours. 😁🤞
Mate I'm traveling to Bradford tomorrow, to view some of these. Not purchase, just browse before I wait for the right one. I've wanted to look in one for ages rather than just pictures, if your local that way and don't mind having a nosey let me know !!!
I’m derby, feel free to pop down mate. And this one is actually for sale. Message me through eBay… www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255796369751?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=qSz9gwlTR9W&sssrc=2051273&ssuid=qSz9gwlTR9W&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
nissan elgand 2008 i brought some 370z wheels 19 there staggered having trouble rear a huge don't no if there legal hangs out a bit ...front wheels catching on the shocks do i need to adjust with Coilovers?
We have a lot of speed bumps on road and carparks where I live. Hoping you have some similar and can tell us What is the clearance like. Potentially, if I buy one, I may even take it camping down some dirt tracks that may have larger than usual speed “humps” not just bumps, and potholes
My daughter wanted a bigger car for dogs and likes quirky Japanese cars! She has a Honda Stepwagon Wagon now(plug, check out County cars,Strood,Kent).Loads of car for the money, no wonder you see more of these imports. I'm curious too know if insurance cost is prohibitive? Although the lowered suspension looks cool ,I'm a bit older,so would keep normal height for max comfort.Great video and thanks for producing and sharing. I'm addicting to watching these vehicle videos at the moment, check out Jay Emm on You tube, who reviewed a Toyota 3.5 on his channel recently!
Ah yeah I’ve seen some of his stuff. He drives a legacy too. Insurance was pretty cheap for my wife about 500 a year. It’s only fuel and tyres that are costly.
Bought one few months ago, lovely mpv,its a camper conversion, fantastic compared moneywise to any other i,ve seen, ridiculous money for all these overpriced campers. Top vehicle, drives brill, everything the lad says is bang on. But one thing only, you need to be able to afford the fuel?
I'm looking at getting a 3.5L V6 and pulling out all the seats at the back (only leaving the Driver & passenger at the front) to save on fuel & weight Will be putting in a small foam mattress and making into a camper
@@InitialB cheers for that i was wondering if a average motor parts place would sell them - I’m 45minutes from euro car parts so there out of the question .
It’s a spring and shock setup, no leaf springs. As for the awd system, I guess it depends how you view it. It’s rear wheel drive in 2wd mode. But mine has the options to lock the centre diff into 4wd. But the front and rear diffs do not lock.
I legit don't get why you people throw alloys, lower suspension, body kits etc on these. It's like puttin a halfords exhaust on a corsa because "...it sounds ace mate.." or alloys on a wheelie bin...anyway, love those vans nd currently looking for one for the summer to camp in with my 10 year old.
Thanks for the upload. I got a e51 Elgrande, 2009. Loving it! What a vehicle.
Power and Snow buttons alter the rev points at which the auto box changes up.

Half price fuel is pretty good! Yeah traffic gp is funny in it. Just hook up and go. Surprised how many people look at it tbh
Where is your gas tank installed?

Roger ! I will take a look, thank you !
enjoyed your honest review mate👍...cheers
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers man
Just got the E52. Very comfortable
Love my 3.5v6. Slightly converted for short term camping. So many VWs around. 😴
I think for the money the elgrand is a much better buy. Depending on the mileage you do.
Great review mate
Cheers man!

Really enjoyed your excellent video you have made my mind up what I need to get many thx
No problem, glad you enjoyed it!
could u put a pic of the fuse boxes covers on here ..mine are japanese ..i need english so i know what fuses are where..thank you
I used my phone to translate them ... also used on the dash controls, brilliant.

I can’t tell you the exact clearance but mine was lowered about 70mm and still cleared most bumps

I have had my elgrand for 21 years and broke down once
21 years! That’s a commitment!

Absolutely loads of room to sleep in the back. The seats do fold out to a makeshift bed already though!
Been looking at these but didn't think I'd get 3 car seat in middle row, is your middle car seat just held in with a lap belt?
Cheers
Yeah it is. That’s not ideal but good when we need a full boot. Otherwise we use one side on the back row for the third seat.
@@InitialB cheers good to know
Thx for video, very good condition car
Hi mate. I’m wondering if this sold, interested and a trip to the uk from ireland to look at a few.
Ah yeah it sold last weekend.
Hi mate - where do you get your spare parts like oil filters etc from - Nissan dealer ? Cheers for the videos
Hi mate, I use importcarparts for pretty much everything. But the engine itself isn’t rare. It’s in loads
@@InitialB cheers for that i was wondering if a average motor parts place would sell them - I’m 45minutes from euro car parts so there out of the question .
What type a suspension you running bro
@@jundecader4278 really sorry but I don’t remember exactly , I think it was xyz coil overs though .
Where did you buy this from? Was it an import dealer? If so which one please.
Hi, I bought it from the QC trade centre in Rotherham.
Hi Do you know the size of those wheels width and tyre width? Thanks
Tyres are 225 45 18. Not sure on wheel width but I’m guessing 8 inch
@@InitialB Thanks man
Can you remove the seats ? Or fold the seats to use as camping van ????
Yes but it’s a bolt out job, failing that the seats fold flat for a bed too
Does the Elgrand come with AWD, 4wd, FWD, or RWD? Is it leaf springs suspension?
It’s a spring and shock setup, no leaf springs.

@@zumezoom9593 cheers man. You too
Is there any isofix on any of the seats?
There’s no isofix
what wheels inch?
They are 18s
Hi there. Where did you buy your elgrand from?
Hi mate, I bought it from a dealership near Rotherham
E51 vs e52 which one is better
The e51 has a much better auto box over the e52 CVT. otherwise ther aren’t too dissimilar
What Model and year is this e51
This is a 2008 S3 highway star
I see your selling it now as seen it on ebay for £7,750
Yeah that’s right, going down to one car for a while as I use the bike for work all the time
@@InitialB fuel painful?
Are you related to Peter Hickman?
Haha no I’m not, dare I ask why?

You people? Body kit is standard on this car too.
Why does nobody talk about the fact that you can sleep in these?!
Ah yeah your right, I should of shown the fold flat seats and the bed layout
