Bach, Vivaldi & Pachelbel: Baroque Favourites

The Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra plays a jam-packed programme of Baroque favourites, from Pachelbel's Canon to Bach's 'Air on the G String'.
Music Director Marios Papadopoulos directs the Orchestra from the harpsichord and is joined by soloists from the Orchestra in Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 and Vivaldi's Concerto for 4 Violins. Principal violinist Natalia Lomeiko also joins the Orchestra in an invigorating performance of Bach's Violin Concerto in A minor.

The harpsichord is a copy of a double manual harpsichord by Pascal Taskin from a 1769 original, made for Alexander Skeaping in 1974 by David Rubio. Restored & upgraded with the latest authentic “historical” strings in 2019, by Fergus Hoey. With thanks to Thornhill Music Ltd.
