    interesting stuff. Topology is weird but beautiful. "identifying all extreme simplices and all non-extreme simplices", that even seems vaguely reasonable. (several decades ago i had an officemate whose ABD thesis was built on simplices and integrating a function that only had support over a narrow chain of such -- fundamental maths for CAT scanning, IIRC; in N dimensions, the narrow chain of support was nearly vanishingly small so naive monte carlo integrtion just did NOT work, massive underflows! -- Walter was one of the few folks i know whose ABD was eventually completed for a PhD/DWhatever. The other is my mother; she had excellent institutional support to keep working on it, as her School District needed her to upgrade to cover their licensure requirements.)
