  • Geoff Hurst goals
Sir Geoff Hurst, MBE is famous for his match winning hat trick against West Germany in the 1966 World Cup Final. He started his career at West Ham in 1959, scoring 242 goals in 500 games over a 13 year period as a Hammer. Tony Waddington signed him for Stoke in August 1972. In three seasons at the Victoria Ground he scored 39 goals, helping the Potters finish fifth in consecutive seasons (1974 and 1975). Soon after he was sold to West Bromwich Albion for £20,000 but only played twelve times for the Second Division Baggies. In his later years he wrapped up a successful career with Cork Celtic (League of Ireland) and the Seattle Sounders before spending a stint in management with Telford United, Chelsea and Kuwait SC.
