You don't need experts to analyse this. SHE DID NOT GIVE ONE GOOD REASON FOR PEOPLE TO VOTE FOR HER

She started taking jabs at internet rights. A surefire way to piss people off these days.

That sounds like Red talk to me! What are you some kind of person who wants to improve the lot of the majority or something?

Penguin, fox hunting? Do you really think that there is anyone beyond maniac Green animal activists, who would not vote for her anyway even if paid to, who really considers this a subject of national importance and worth voting on? Having said that, I basically agree with your other points.

As well as education and NHS spending cuts (in real terms), dozens of suicides as a result of welfare cuts, massive cuts in welfare for the disabled, cuts to social care, cuts to local authorities, an increase in VAT, an increase in rail fares which we still subsidise hugely, no clear plan on Brexit, no clear plan on housing policy, no clear policies at all beyond bringing grammar schools back and cutting corporation tax even though we already have the lowest rate of any major economy. Add in a reversal of green legislation, their lack of opposition against the far right in this country, their lack of any sort reaction to rampant tax avoidance or money laundering in London, their MP's business links to private health care companies and banks, their desperation to keep Murdock on side even though it means giving him even more of a media thumbprint (BSkyB). Their cuts to policing, their cuts to the armed forces (numbers of troops and funding) and their unethical business deals with Saudi Arabia. The waste over the new passport controls (look it up), their ending outright of funding for nurses training despite there being a massive shortage. The fact that they called this election for selfish political grandstanding not the good of the country, Theresa May's lack of leadership, vision, strength, integrity and honesty. In short after ten years; 10,000 less police, class sizes at 40 kids, NHS waiting times are double what they were, and for all this pain the deficit is still there and taxes for the richest are falling yet again.

Penguin247 2 Not just the Tory voters that deserted her but a million UKIP ones, that in theory, should have been behind her went to Labour. Hill and Timothy are clearly to politics, what Diane Abbott is to maths and interviewing. For her to put faith in those two thicko's without consulting the cabinet was insulting. I thought Cameron's judgement was bad, but this took it to a new level. She had a chance to finish Labour and cause a civil war in that party. Instead she insulted, virtually, her own voters and supporters.

She allways wanted to destroy the Brexit move ! She could have done it only from inside posing that she is ''pro brexit '' when in reality she was 101 % against lol.

"She allways wanted to destroy the Brexit move !"
I'm not a believer in conspiracies, but one has to question why a "pro-brexiter" would call for what essentially was a 2nd Brexit referendum.
(the results Brexit-wise was the same: Conservatives win most seats, but it cost the party a lot to re-affirm the original brexit vote: LEAVE!)
      It's like giving up immunity.

Nothing went wrong. Here is the way I see it. Prior to last night's election results, the UK was split into Brexiteer and Remainder camps. Post election we are now 100% Brexiteers. Corbyn is committed to Brexit, the Tories are committed to Brexit and the Scotland Question is now resolved in favor of Brexit. All we have to do now is to materialize the manifest will of the people.

  • @paulsweeney387

What went wrong? It's simple to see what went wrong, the Tories were in front by a big margin why Teresa had to change anything? She could have changed a bit of Cameron manifesto and don't hurt many people especially the older people, why she agree to this manifesto that makes here look bad and then she hide to talk about it? Sure she realizes it's a shamble and she knows she did a big mistake by not looking or thinking deep into it before let it go in the open, this called careless. the problem now is who is going to trust here not to makes more mistake bigger mistake by dealing with the EU and the world?

Sinn Fein are proposing restarting Stormont (spl?), which the DUP would have to be a part with the Irish and UK govs as neutral parties. Cons in bed with DUP would mess that right up. Needing the DUP on side isn't a simple deal at all, it has some consequences, especially in Northern Ireland. Looks like, again, the Tories decide on something without thinking about the NI peace deal.

Who advised Mrs May that My team & I sounds far too educated, say "Me & My team"? "Me & My team" will cut School dinners for little children (God knows I don't have any). "Me & My team" make nurses pay for their own training (the one we have can do more hours to make up)? "Me & My team" will pay USA 10s of Billions for F-35 jets "Me & My team" increasing defence spending by 25% to 2.5% of GDP (that's a lot of school dinners, Nurses not trained & winter fuel for lazy old people) "Me & My team"

Corbyn went out and said he wouldn't go back on Brexit, thus undermining May's platform... and she didn't respond. he made it a Domestic Election & won many seats.
the few Remoaners went with LibDem.
Scotland voted against another IndRef, thus went either Brexit w/ Labour or Tory, or Remoaner w/ LibDem.

Britain should not take immigrants. Brexit is right answer. There is no industry available to accept immigrants and visitors from Europe. The British government should only focus on allowing foreign students to be there and giving them work experience. Visitors in Britain from Europe are aiming at high tech advanced medical treatment for free, however British people have to pay from their taxes. While not vice versa due to language barrier and low standard of quality.
Given them chances to educate and work opportunities in certain period enable the British government to gain taxes as well as give those chances to opportunity to be employed when they go back to their countries. The core and majority industrial sector in Britain is relying heavily on service sector especially in financial services.

People have short attention spans. I honestly believe people moved on from Brexit and votes on domestic issues istead. I'm amazed by how many Brexit areas went to Labour. I would be surprised if they could explain what Brexit was all along. Fools. Regardless of your political persuasion I think it's fair to say that the most sensible among us knew deep down in our core that the best Brexit deal would have been delivered by a Tory majority. This chaos in parliament will break the UK. Bad brexit, inefficient government and an opposition hellbent on bringing in radical policies will shock the economy into oblivion.

  • @etsfkb

Just assume this: NO politician ever really wanted this Brexit over there in the UK. Big show and crisscross to finally get what Britans actually wanted right from the beginning: A soft, not hard Brexit to gain more freedom, to get more distance to unpopular EU, so without the constant costs, EU-TAX-SYSTEM (not the best loved in financial districts of London for sure ;-)) and maybe even some real advantages and great chances for GB-ECONOMY, instead of facing a straight / hard cut. (Hahaha! Do you really believe this is/ ever was May's, Johnson's or Farage's target)
Best election-counselling-team ever, I guess! Congrats Mrs. May, poor EU-CITIZENS, but hey, who's going to care about these worries in 3 to 5 years when this joke of Brexit is negotiated finally. ... Sad day for honesty and democracy or so to say a really united and fair structured EU once again.
