To be honest, I wouldn't change it for anything. I got to see Jurassic Park, Gladiator, Lord Of the Rings, etc, without even knowing what those movies were about, not even watching the trailer beforehand. I truly appreciate that. Nowadays, that doesn't happen anymore.
42:56 Blake, you are absolutely correct, it was the site in Ironman 2. Igli, the World’s Fair site was already in existence there, they didn’t have to build it to reference Tony Stark. Both Ironman 2 and Men in Black took advantage of a pre-existing location as a filming location.
The original “Men in Black” comic was published by a company called “Malibu Comics”, but Marvel bought Malibu, so TECHNICALLY Marvel owns Men in Black, even though Marvel had nothing to do with writing any of the original material.
The tower structure and the giant globe are real and are located in Flushing, Queens, NYC. The iconic structures are leftover from the 1965 New York World's Fair. The structures are also near the New York Mets Baseball stadium , Arthur Ashe Tennis Stadium, The Queens Zoo, and Queens Botanical Gardens. The scene near the tour bus is Grand Central Station on 42nd Street along eastside Manhattan. The scene where the alien is leaping from the building is located at the Guggenheim Museum of Art on Fifth Avenue across from Central Park.
Those were the days. Will had good movies and music. Another alien themed movie with Will that came out before this one is Independence Day. Has a lot of other good and recognizable actors too.
I grew up in the Nordic countries & as a teen in the 90´s, Will Smith was one of the biggest names. Fresh Prince was da teen/family show besides Beverly Hills 90210 & 21 Jumpstreet on our tv channels lol he was constantly played on mtv & OK Magazine, Nordic branch, featured him etc
Under seige he was a bad guy. Tommy Lee Jones is one of the best. He was in a Captain America, he was in Coal Miners Daughter. The Fugitive, Volcano, Double Jeopardy, and many more.
2 is great, 3 makes me cry like a baby but it's an incredible end to the trilogy, like beeeeeautifully executed. I would highly highly recommend doing all 3.
K neuralyzed James before the recruitment process as a safety measure. At that point he was not fully examined by MIB, and therefore couldn't yet be trusted to not disclose any of the classified things he had witnessed that night. Once James had Zed's approval, K no longer needed to neuralyze him
This is my personal favorite performance of both will smith and tommy lee jones. When done right that dynamic of young, talented, hip dude vs experienced old veteran is magical.
Back in my day….. 😂 I’m already dreading when i get “Sir”d and explain things that happened in the late 90’s and early 00’s.. Thanks Blake for reminding me that Time is not on my side. 😂 ❤
4:44 never ask that question around friends. The answer is always going to be yes. 7:44 torching it to look like a blast happened. 32:02 notice how his name is difficult and Will’s name is easy? So J has to remember a weird name while K gets to remember an easy name. Guess that’s the perk of being older.
He claims Albanian as his first language but he doesn’t know more than standard greetings and stuff. I do speak Spanish but I don’t say I’m fluent - Blake
Here ya go fellas... 💥...Blown Away...with Kurt Russell & Tommy Lee Jones...1994 One of the few movies where we see a different side of Tommy... it'll be a blast !... 🌿🌿🌿
Men in Black 2 is worth the watch. For more of Tommy Lee Jones, check out "The Client" 1994. Will Smith did a great job in "Bad Boys" 1995. This movie is classified as an Action movie, with comical aspect. Not a Comedy movie, though there are comedic parts.
Why didn't they just flash that memory messer upper on the whole planet and tell everyone that aliens have always been here, and that we all get along? 😂 That would've saved all the secrets and lies in all the agent's lives. Tommy Lee Jones - The Fugitive Will Smith - Independence Day Smith had a run of successful movies opening on July 4th, until he did Wild Wild West. That bombed.
That's Grand Central Station, and Park Avenue, moving Uptown from, it looks like, the 46th Street side. And we wind up at the Guggenheim Museum, on Fifth Avenue and 88th Street. The Guggenheim is a great museum, especially its design, which is that very cool spiral. The wall where the alien flips before running to the Guggenheim is for Central Park.
The headquarters is the Hugh.L Carey Tunnel Ventilation Building. I ride through the tunnel and pass the building every morning on my way to work. Those huge fans inside are, therefore, for sure, there for a reason. The tunnel is very long and needs a LOT of ventilation.
The recruitment scene is still the best and funniest scene in the whole movie for me :D In the animated series that came out after this movie, there is an extremely dangerous alien called Bug Queen, whose disguise looks exactly like Tiffany. So J has intuitively shot the most dangerous monster in the shooting range without knowing it, which is kind of funny. Please do the sequals as well! :) Enjoyed this reaction very much
Ok, I was over here like "who the hell is Jake?" 🤣 But y'all not even being born when this movie came out...whew, chile. I graduated high school in '97 and that was a year late. 😬
Guys, thanks for the great reaction, this is one of my favorites of the 90s, for the first time I was very impressed with the creativity of the plot and special effects) By the way, the makeup of the decaying masked Beetle that impressed you won an Oscar in 1998! If you do not immediately want to resort to watching part 2, I can recommend, alas, in the USA it is very underestimated due to the discrepancy with the canonical series, but for many in the rest of the world successful films with Will Smith and Salma Hayek in the key of a fantastic comedy western - Wild Wild West (1999) from the same director of Men in Black! I like to watch different reactions to films, but I haven't found anything specifically about this film yet, maybe you'll be interested in a similar picture!)
Can’t believe you all have not seen The Fugitive with Tommy Lee Jones. It’s the best!!!!! Funny K says to J you probably were not even alive in 68. Well he was born in 68 and so was I.
I wonder if anyone else is also noticing how movies from that era felt more natural? It's hard to pin down, maybe its the film itself, its color, maybe its the more relaxed tone, unburdened comedy, maybe actors were better? Maybe directors were crazier? I would take 2 good movies like this a year than the 100s of trash for "modern audiences" we get today.
Normally I would never tell someone to skip a movie, like I would tell people to watch Alien 3 and 4 with lower expectation, but yeah, for MIB just watch the trilogy and forget about the reboot one😂
Not really an argument just to say since a movie came out before you were born means you can't have possibly seen it is ridiculous as a defense just sayin lmao love the reaction though
hello, new guy! this is a great movie.. that I was alive to watch when it came out, THANK you very much, but I didn't get to see it until I was a preteen.. and I'm glad you guys enjoyed it! the rest are very good too, I enjoy them all immensely.. and by that I mean the original set. I try not to have an opinion about the recent one lmaoo it's fine
Be careful popping your neck like that Blake. It’s safer to lean your head side to side while keeping it pointed straight ahead. Twisting the head to pop the neck can get your vertebrae and discs out of alignment at the least, causing pressure on nerves and radiating pain in the arms and fingers, and possibly dislocation, and permanent nerve damage, at the worst. Not trying to tell ya what to do, just don’t want you to be harmed. I used to do the same thing when I was young, and still have occasional neck and arm pain. Nice movie reaction!
Will Snith and Tommy Lee Jones, the duo you think, wouldn't work on paper, but in action, they work perfectly. Next movie, you guys gotta dress like Igli, dont make him feel over dressed, come on now.
Sorry for the late post...
We were watching Season 4 of The Boys and forgot to schedule the video
Hope you enjoy our reaction! ❤
Yes, we did :)
The physicality of Vincent D’s performance is truly hilarious and amazing.
He’s incredible. I totally forget he’s not an actual alien. Amazing performance.
There was an animated series after this on Kids WB
And Vincent voiced every one of the bug villain characters in the show
20 years and I never even realized George Lucas was on that screen. That explains...SO MUCH.
So its really a a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.
"this movie came out before I was born"..😮
Jesus, I feel like a fossil now 😂
Sorrrrry
Lol me too! I saw it at the movies when it came out.
Same! lol middle aged millennial here 😅
Saw it in theaters. Watched the heck out of the VHS.
To be honest, I wouldn't change it for anything. I got to see Jurassic Park, Gladiator, Lord Of the Rings, etc, without even knowing what those movies were about, not even watching the trailer beforehand. I truly appreciate that. Nowadays, that doesn't happen anymore.
Vincent D´Onofrio´s performance it´s simply awesome. What a character. From Full Metal Jacket to Full Alien Jacket.
Tommy Lee Jones was in "The Fugitive, " "Space Cowboys, " "U.S. Marshals," "JFK," "The Client, "Lonesome Dove," and lots more.
U.S. Marshals is my jam 🔥
How the hall did you guys not see even half the movies you are watching now... I must be living in another dimension...
Living under a rock had its perks
42:56 Blake, you are absolutely correct, it was the site in Ironman 2. Igli, the World’s Fair site was already in existence there, they didn’t have to build it to reference Tony Stark. Both Ironman 2 and Men in Black took advantage of a pre-existing location as a filming location.
Blake has such a good eye for this stuff!
The original “Men in Black” comic was published by a company called “Malibu Comics”, but Marvel bought Malibu, so TECHNICALLY Marvel owns Men in Black, even though Marvel had nothing to do with writing any of the original material.

The Fugitive is a good movie. It stars Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones.
Oh hell yes.

Whole trilogy is worth-watching and especially worth-reacting to. This one and the 3rd movie are probably my favorites
me: no way they havent seen mib
blake: before people say we havent seen this, i wasnt born yet
me: 👵👵👵
Those were the days. Will had good movies and music. Another alien themed movie with Will that came out before this one is Independence Day. Has a lot of other good and recognizable actors too.
O that is an amazing movie too
6:02 Blakes Spanish coming in clutch for this one!
Aww you left out one of the best movie quotes ever.
"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it."
👏🏻🥃
1:25 “no igli, you were already alive”
😂
personally I wouldn’t allow that disrespect
😅😂😂😂😂
I grew up in the Nordic countries & as a teen in the 90´s, Will Smith was one of the biggest names. Fresh Prince was da teen/family show besides Beverly Hills 90210 & 21 Jumpstreet on our tv channels lol he was constantly played on mtv & OK Magazine, Nordic branch, featured him etc

'Men In Black' premiered at a theater near you 27 years ago today, July 2, 1997
2 is great, 3 makes me cry like a baby but it's an incredible end to the trilogy, like beeeeeautifully executed. I would highly highly recommend doing all 3.
3 is one of my fav movies ever.
K neuralyzed James before the recruitment process as a safety measure. At that point he was not fully examined by MIB, and therefore couldn't yet be trusted to not disclose any of the classified things he had witnessed that night. Once James had Zed's approval, K no longer needed to neuralyze him
The Raggedy Pack watching Men In Black! What a treat!
We are all little galaxies, but not all of us are lucky enough to be on a cat collar....
This is my personal favorite performance of both will smith and tommy lee jones. When done right that dynamic of young, talented, hip dude vs experienced old veteran is magical.
The fugitive! for Tommy Lee Jones is a must!!!
Tommy Lee Jones can do about anything.
Nice to see Blake laughing instead of hiding behind his hands 💚
I like the third movie from the series the most. It wraps up very well the trilogy.
you guys have gotta watch SEVEN !👌🏼👌🏼
The 3rd is better than the 2nd so don't let the 2nd deter you from completing the trilogy
This movie is great! I really like the next two too. I really like Tommy Lee Jones in Double Jeopardy, but he has so many fantastic movies.
Back in my day….. 😂 I’m already dreading when i get “Sir”d and explain things that happened in the late 90’s and early 00’s.. Thanks Blake for reminding me that Time is not on my side. 😂 ❤
😂 Rip Turn is actually the name of the actor who played the boss of the MIB headquarters...
Who also voiced Zeus in Disney's Hercules!
0:04 my gawd. Blake with Glasses and that smile! #Everything
thanks for making me feel old, again~
Vincent D'Onofro stole the show with his performance
4:44 never ask that question around friends. The answer is always going to be yes. 7:44 torching it to look like a blast happened. 32:02 notice how his name is difficult and Will’s name is easy? So J has to remember a weird name while K gets to remember an easy name. Guess that’s the perk of being older.
I just subscribed a couple of months ago, and I'm curious: What's Igli's first language? And does Blake actually speak Spanish?
He claims Albanian as his first language but he doesn’t know more than standard greetings and stuff. I do speak Spanish but I don’t say I’m fluent - Blake
Under Siege is another great Tommy Lee Jones movie. Almost nobody has reacted to it.
Here ya go fellas...
💥...Blown Away...with Kurt Russell & Tommy Lee Jones...1994
One of the few movies where we see a different side of Tommy... it'll be a blast !...
🌿🌿🌿
Blown Away is Jeff Bridges and TLJ.
Men in Black 2 is worth the watch. For more of Tommy Lee Jones, check out "The Client" 1994. Will Smith did a great job in "Bad Boys" 1995. This movie is classified as an Action movie, with comical aspect. Not a Comedy movie, though there are comedic parts.
omg tommy lee jones is so hilarious in this. this movie is so fun
Why didn't they just flash that memory messer upper on the whole planet and tell everyone that aliens have always been here, and that we all get along? 😂 That would've saved all the secrets and lies in all the agent's lives.
Tommy Lee Jones - The Fugitive
Will Smith - Independence Day
Smith had a run of successful movies opening on July 4th, until he did Wild Wild West. That bombed.
dudes are younger than me but look 20 years older. Social media is a hell of a drug.
Cockroach's wife called him Edgar a couple times.
I won't spoil the sequel, but it's a fun time as well.
Looking forward to the next two MIB movies!
You have to do The Fugitive - Tommy Lee and Harrison Ford.
Pretty sure the guy at the counter was David Cross from Mr. Show
Y'all gotta check out Tommy Lee Jones in the fugitive and double jeopardy 👌
You guy's should do Megamind its a underrated gem.
The headquarters is the Hugh.L Carey Tunnel Ventilation Building. I ride through the tunnel and pass the building every morning on my way to work. Those huge fans inside are, therefore, for sure, there for a reason. The tunnel is very long and needs a LOT of ventilation.
There is only one MIB no others exist. Don't bother with anything else claiming to be a sequel of this great movie.
The follow ups were not that bad!
The Worlds Fair location is, indeed, close to Shea Stadium.
When I was a kid the ending with the galaxy in marble left me in a hunted state
11:28
new skin unlocked, literally
The recruitment scene is still the best and funniest scene in the whole movie for me :D In the animated series that came out after this movie, there is an extremely dangerous alien called Bug Queen, whose disguise looks exactly like Tiffany. So J has intuitively shot the most dangerous monster in the shooting range without knowing it, which is kind of funny. Please do the sequals as well! :) Enjoyed this reaction very much
Nice trivia thanks for sharing!
That argument doesn't work lol. I wasn't alive when the OT star wars movies came out but I still have watched all 3 multiple times.
The first one is good but the 2nd and 3rd are way better
Good Elvis impression 😄
Tommy Lee Jones movies, THE HOMESMAN, MISSING,GOOD OLD BOYS, THREE BURIALS, COMEBACK TRAILS,JACKSON COUNTY JAIL, and many more
Missing !!...yes..so few even know of it...
🌿🌿🌿
Ok, I was over here like "who the hell is Jake?" 🤣 But y'all not even being born when this movie came out...whew, chile. I graduated high school in '97 and that was a year late. 😬

Men in Black 2 is even better
3 is my favourite
3 is the best!
It absolutely is not. That script is absolutely rushed.
No it isnt
Ah no. But it is good.
Can’t believe you all have not seen The Fugitive with Tommy Lee Jones. It’s the best!!!!! Funny K says to J you probably were not even alive in 68. Well he was born in 68 and so was I.
Wait, how old is Blake?
I was born after 1997

No, you are not stupid...no one knew it was a Marvel Comic!
For some more really good Tommy Lee Jones watch, the Fugitive!
M.I.B IS SUCH A CLASSIC!!! SUCH A TIMELESS MOVIE. LET'S GOOO!
BLAKE LOOKING LIKE A STUD BTW 😉🫡
Normally I would never tell someone to skip a movie, like I would tell people to watch Alien 3 and 4 with lower expectation, but yeah, for MIB just watch the trilogy and forget about the reboot one😂
Hope you're going to continue the series
21:02 😭
Tommy Lee in all of them
Not really an argument just to say since a movie came out before you were born means you can't have possibly seen it is ridiculous as a defense just sayin lmao love the reaction though
Now please, u need to react to all trilogy!!! And, another sugestion, The Addams Family!
do you take requests?
Ghostbusters I & II and Back To The Future Trilogy are a must.
I love these movies, and I think the 2nd and 3rd movies are even better.
Awesome reaction/ can you please watch a movie called ANY GIVEN SUNDAY.
The reboot is decent
The end credit is an introduction to The Marvel Universe
🤣I thought you said "Marble Universe" at first lol
React to tarot
I hope y'all do the whole trilogy, I love all of them so much
hello, new guy! this is a great movie.. that I was alive to watch when it came out, THANK you very much, but I didn't get to see it until I was a preteen.. and I'm glad you guys enjoyed it! the rest are very good too, I enjoy them all immensely.. and by that I mean the original set. Nice movie reaction!
I’m with Igli about the cockroaches for sure!
Love this series :)
Underrated classic Tommy Lee Jones movie co-starring Cedric the Entertainer with Christina Milan in Man of the House (2005)
Will Snith and Tommy Lee Jones, the duo you think, wouldn't work on paper, but in action, they work perfectly. Next movie, you guys gotta dress like Igli, dont make him feel over dressed, come on now.
Below the camera Igli is wearing boxer shorts
You need to wàtch 2&3. Also for Tommy Lee Jones: The Fugitive, US Marshalls.
Tell me you've already seen MIB without telling me you've already seen MIB
did anyone notice that K's first partner was Stan Lee?
Charles C.Stevenson Jr.
Watched in theatre when I was like 15 ish 🍿
One piece of trivia... Tommy Lee Jones was a roommate of former VP Al Gore in college
Oooooh Tommy Lee Jones gotta check out his wild character in UNDER SEIGE starring Steven Segal, Gary Busey! 💥
Love the ride at Universal Studios.
