Great blooms video, thanks for sharing. I like the colour.maxima concolour a lot, really nice colour combination, and the roots are very happy and healthy! C.tigrina is gorgeous too and the scent must be beautiful! Thanks for sharing and happy growing 😀
Regarding C. tigrina - I've been under the impression that they are spring bloomers, and that is one characteristic that differentiates them from C. guttata . Also, I for one typically prefer the natural look of non "improved" orchids, so the ruffles in the petals to me is a plus.
jenmanii has quite a powerful fragrance, especially for such a small plant, I can smell mine from some distance even outside. I was actually shocked the first time it bloomed at how potent it was. I think, though, the Brassavolae take the cake on fragrance. B. cordata (subulifolia) really pumps it out after dark, there is no mistaking when it is in bloom.
@@SVKLOrchids I'm surprised you don't have one. The fragrance is really lovely, very floral with a touch of citrus. Just don't get a coerulea, the petals and sepals are very pale and the blue on the lip is nothing to write home about. The semi-alba are really pretty though.
Uhhh can't wait for my own tigrina var coerulea to get large enough 😍 it's still a seedling, but it's variegated 🤩 🤩 can show you pics if you want to see my little treasure 😊
@@YaneisiRodriguez-y3h I think I got the tigrina from Miller Tropicals in Dripping Springs and the maxima came from Clown Alley Orchids in Houston, which is no longer around, unfortunately. 😢

These two are definitely a couple of my favorites!
I heart your maxima concolor!
Thanks! It's definitely an unusual one!
Very nice concolor! I do like that! It is amazing how the lines are on the lip but no color.
Weird, right?
All your Cattleya’s are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.🥰🤗
Thank you!
Gorgeous blooming!!! The tigrina has very striking colors. Glad you explained about the two colors on Maxima concolor because I was wondering 😅
Ya, the maxima concolor is a bit of a head scratcher!
Fantastic blooms!!! love em all ❤ congrats.
Thank you!
Marvelous flowers! 💚😀
Much appreciated! 😃

It’s certainly possible there’s guttata in this one! I need to look at the condition of the sheath to know.
As usual your cattleya are amazing! Wish I could smell them...and they'll be happy to be outside soon!
Especially now that its our rainy season!
@Stephen Van Kampen-Lewis I have figured out a way to grow the catasetums outside this year too!! 😉😁
Lovely, thank you 😊
😃😃
Your catts are a mesmerizing delight always, Stephen 😊 Still have a long way to go to get my catts to that stature. Fab stuff 🎉
Thank you! Let me know if I can help with your Catts!
@@SVKLOrchids I sure will. In fact you have already helped me with your advice many times. Always a great pleasure & privilege to learn from you :)
@@lookthrumyeyes glad to do it!

I don't know that I've ever smelled jenmanii!

You’re going to love the scent! I haven’t seen a variegated one before!
I think I have one of these. No label unfortunately but mine is huge.
They’re both very distinctive species! I bet your ID is correct.
Looks like my leopoldoi is way too far yet to be a blooming size. 😅
They need to be tall!!

@@SVKLOrchids thanks Unfortunately, there are no places here where we can buy orchids.
Thank you! Are there orchid breeders in Korea?
@@SVKLOrchids YES!!😁
@@놀아요-b6k Hopefully they'll start breeding some concolor maxima soon!
