as a late comer into the series, i never understood why people didnt like the shift from 5 to 6 with the dragon engine. Kiwami 2 was my third game (started with y0 in 2020) and my favourite thing to do was to mess around with grabs. just watching all those enemies crumble cause of one throw was really funny
@@dangergran2566 Yakuza 5-K1 weren't made in Unreal Engine they were made in a unique one that the wiki calls the Kiwami Engine. It doesn't have an actual name though. Like a Dragon Ishin is the only RGG game so far to be made in Unreal.
According to my save file this run took me 7 hours and 19 minutes (prolly over 7 hours and 30 minutes in total thanks to the man in black making my life painful)
How about no quickstep for akiyama? It's gonna be a pain in the ass since speed is his thing, but I'm kinda confused whether which line this will go in. Either fun and challenging, or completely agonizing.
Majima's Game plan was watching you spam the same attack over and over on Axe boy and Grievous Bodily Harm, and writing on a piece of paper "do NOT let Kiryu-chan pull that on me." That was his whole plan and it worked pretty good.
This got me thinking about beating Kiwami 2 (Or any title in the series) but never pressing the Square button once.. Sadly doesn't seem to be possible here since the Heat finisher moves require you to spam Square to charge it up and they can't be avoided(?) Maybe works in other games though.

If you ever play yakuza like a dragon later in the channel. Heres a challege for you. try using like the worst jobs on every character including ichiban. for example: Nanba with like a main damage job like the breaker job, and adachi with like a support job.
@@TheDarkEnigma ive already said 2 examples and that is nanba. he is mostly like a support/caster so by making him like the main physical damage dealer is like bad. same with adachi, he is like ideally the tank character so making him like do the support job. yes ichiban freelancer is like super bad cuz he has barely weapons and he uses mostly fist like the old yakuza games.

I mean it is jarring to go from unreal engine to dragon since yknow, ragdoll. But also the combat does grow on you the more you use it.

Yes it is definitely possible but I don't have the guts. Since the default finisher is bound to Y/Triangle/Right Click.

I think the heat finishers are kind of exempt as it's only light attacks not the button itself when required.
