Anyone that has been anxious one time in their lives knows she is anxious, but when she decides to "exaggerate it" and interpret it as a joke, she makes her anxiety weaker and herself stronger. I think that's the reason why so many socially anxious people become comedians or do comedy-related stuff, it legit helps.
