Here's the thing Fitz was in the last part of his term in the white house so Olivia getting pregnant shouldnt have been an issue. The president really don't have the power that we think he has. His personal life is always talked about, he has people constantly telling him what to do. I see why now as to why Olivia got an abortion because we all saw what it did to her when it came out that she was Fitz mistress. A baby oh that wouldve changed everything. Why she didn't get on birth control or wear condoms as much as they have sex? That's why Fitz forgave her for it and they never spoke about it again.
Faith Watkins his legacy would’ve been all about their out of wedlock baby and the scandal of their relationship as a whole. But as a Olitz fan I was devastated 😓I feel like maybe her having it and going into hiding would’ve been a cool storyline.

Abby was supposed to tell them about her abortion but she couldn't hurt Olivia - that's why she said the thing about Jerry Jr.
It also would have hurt Fitz’s reputation, so it wasn’t really a viable option
