    I didn't do alot of the backstitching on the gingerbread house. Didn't think it needed it. I backstitched the candy canes at the door and the lollipops, and the wreath.

    For your white stitch in PK problem, go into the settings and switch on "Use translucent colours". That way the stitch symbol will show through the white overlay just a little bit to help you see where you are. I use it on all of mine and find it helpful to be able to landmark as I go.

      Thank you so much :) That is very helpful! Who knew there were so many ways to see white on pattern keeper and they make it so much easier to stitch. Happy Stitching :)

    3 ways to deal with white stitches are either switch to dark mode, change the colour of the white stitches to something that really stands out that isn't already in your pattern like a florescent pink or change in your setting to still show the symbol after you have marked it off.

    Great first Christmas video!! For PK White stitches, I go into edit legend and pick a custom color that’s a very light blue and switch it to that. Then I know those are actually white but I can see them.

    Lovely stitching! There is a way to change the color of white stitched. If you go to edit legend, find the white, then hit the blend button. The top line will say Blanc, white or whatever number. In the bottom line, change it from DMC to the eye dropper. Then pick a custom color that you'd like it to be. When it shows up in your list it will still say the original color plus the custom color. It will then highlight in the custom color. If you need help, let me know and I can walk you through it.

    Hello Adelaide love seeing another Aussie stitcher on here! You’ve inspired me to do the lovely Christmas calendar as well. I haven’t finished the entire frame/border for it but I got it to where I can start the first few blocks so I’ll keep at it. Can’t wait to see how your projects progress!!

    Fantastic work on everything. I am weird and I love the way backstitching makes a piece look finished. Congrats on your big finish! Gorgeous. Fun way to plan some next year projects. I am enjoying getting my plans together and seeing what challenges I want to join.

    craafty gaming jamie has switched alot of her full coverage pieces from full cross to tent stitch even tho she already started full cross, and you cant tell at all. For pattern keeper, I like to change the settings to use translucent colors, that way the symbol can still be seen. Tho i supose if its white it will look just like an incomplete stitch, perhaps change it to a different color just keep a note that when PK says that number it means white.

    • @adelaidestitches
      @adelaidestitches  7 днів тому

      Yes you are right! I'll have to go back and look at some of her older videos to see if you can tell the difference. Thanks for the information about pattern keeper. For now I have changed it to a bright orange which is working okay. Someone else suggested black which could work too because there's no black in the pattern and it's a similar neutral. Happy Stitching :)

    What are you using to count your stitches?

    • @adelaidestitches
      @adelaidestitches  9 днів тому

      Some pdf patterns I'm able to put into Pattern Keeper. It is an app I have on my Android tablet. My Tiny Modernist Christmas Calendar is in it and that counts stitches for me. If you have Apple devices a lot of people use Markup but I haven't tried that. Hope that helps :)
