Why to use closure?
Difference b/t closure n function

You should use closure to perform tasks which take time specially API calls or some delegate events, as you will progress from beginners to advance playlist in this channel you will see that for API parsing and for some Core data CRUD events we are using closures to do an operation and then return the output of those operations. The second common use you will see that all higher order functions in swift like map, sort, flat map use closure to do a task and return the output.

@@divyanshugupta1515 the API operation performs in a different thread and does not wait on the main thread and escaping closures are the only way to get value back from such operations
For database operations there’s no need to use closures a simple function would suffice but it depends on the requirements as well like if you are performing some background database task then maybe you want to use escaping closure
There’s a example in part 2 of the video where I have covered more grounds where n how closures can use and database operation is one of them do check that video
