  • Dominion Energy is planning to build a new power plant in Chesterfield County to help customers keep the lights on during extreme weather, saying current use is putting a strain on Central Virginia's power grid. Dominion says the plant could create jobs and millions of dollars in revenue, but climate activists are pushing against the plans, saying it will cost customers more money in the long run.

That is great that you want to avoid using fossil fuels. Why don't the climate activists invent something that will take the place of fossil fuels and then they would have a logical argument. Otherwise let the climate activists turn a hand crank on the generator to produce electricity, so there is no pollution - problem solved. We are lucky to half fossil fuels and there is no way you can do away with these fuels, unless something else is invented to take there place, which seems unlikely. In the not to distant future this power plant may need to run continuously to keep up with the electrical demand, which is constantly growing.
