I'm glad you talked about everything, even the more serious topics, and you gave your honest opinions. Vanessa, Agnes, Natalia (mostly her fashion) and Victorie were solid dolls. The Nu.Face girls were more divisive; I definitely agree that a sports theme doesn't really go with the general Target Market for IT doll collectors and I think they really should have known better what we like and what we don't. The comment regarding Dominique is very accurate: they should have pleased the collectors with a more popular sculpt, not take this as an experimenting opportunity. Very risky move and the result is a lot of very disappointed members! Again, IT should know better by now. I do think dolls like Vanessa, Agnes, and some of the Day 2 dolls which you will soon talk about, salvaged the Convention Collection, but the Sports Nu.Face dolls were definitely a miss for me.

My first year & I don't think I can find out on W Club Forum, and can't find old email.... what are you really getting for the approx $500 for the convention? I think you nailed every issue I had with the W Club doll. This was my first convention and I was excited to hear the W Club doll was Nu.Face (my favorite line). I honestly like Dom’s makeup and those drippy earrings. But I cannot express how disappointed I am in her outfit, especially for the price point, and I’m unimpressed by the flocked hair. I got her because I essentially already paid for her, but I am definitely going to have to pay more for a wig and new outfit. If I had known “sports” was the theme, I definitely would not have registered. And, I still do not get how military ties in with obsession, at least not in a positive way. Like, I guess dictators and junta governments are obsessed with the military? 🤷🏻♀️
I know what you mean about the outfit. While fashion isn't about pleasing everyone, I think Dom's outfit is a little basic and doesn't offer mix-and-match opportunities. It's unfortunate that collectors have to redress her to enjoy her. Especially with a lot of first time IT collectors this year, they might have to spend extra money redressing her. Military obsession was the most puzzling one, wasn't it? I hope next year's theme will be easier to execute. -Sang
Great review as always!! I was so eager to see how you liked the dolls or this year's convention theme.. As a non convention attendee this year, during those days I was so anxious to see how the dolls were like, and the forum closing make it even worse.. But I do agree that it was a very good move... People who attended could enjoy it without spoil things out like the craziness of last year.. I waited until the emails were sent and were kinda uncertain on the choices made for this dolls... Ouch!! At first sight I liked none of the dolls but Victoire. She is magnifique!! I don't think she is time-line accurate, but the catsuit and mask were awesome... Then I start seeing the appeal on some, and liked some things here and there, and some of the dolls offered on day 01.. I was able to preorder Violaine sight unseen, so when i see her i was not sure if I liked.. But the more I see her the more i liked some things.. But the shoes and harness are very radical/mismatch for the overall aesthetic for me (as the cinnabuns are), but we'll see..In the sports theme dolls, Luna has the most cohesive ensemble.. you can see the sport inspiration and it translates very well into her.. The thing is; is she luxe enough to make her "feel" a convention doll? Not sure... I don't know.. The Rayna doll is gorgeous (the doll by itself), the makeup and the ponytails with that auburn color, look amazing.; but the outfit didn't appeal too much to me. I hope that we don't see a deconstructed fashion with that type of fabric (like the a fashionable legacy Violaine) again, because it didn't translate well at that scale.. and the shoes were a really odd choice paired with that jacket and capri-pants... I liked what you said about "taking a risk with the souvenir doll", and I do agree totally. Integrity has to take into a consideration to not take risk with an already sold doll.. Because people could start feel bad about it.. But have to say I liked Dominique.. She is bold, and extreme, just she doesn't look as "in the same" collection as the others (neon on makeup/nails, and bold colors VS soft coloring and almost neutral makeup for all the other Nuface dolls).. BTW I liked her outfit more than Rayna's. The military theme dolls (on day 01) didn't feel as exciting but Agnes was really a standout.. even when she looks more like a mafia's wive (with that name) of and old Hollywood Movie, than a military theme doll to me. And while Natalia as a whole looks great, I feel like she didn't looks as exciting this time.. probably she is a sleeper.. because the face was killer and the outfit is very well done.. So in the end of the first day.. I kinda felt intrigued, but not totally convinced that I liked them all.. but who knows, it usually happens that the dolls are way better than the photos.. Love hearing your thoughts on the dolls. I hope you enjoy Violaine in person! It's hard to judge a doll base on a few handful of photos. I would have loved a more cohesive collection of dolls that would make sense or look good displayed together but I can appreciate each doll individually. Max and I talked about what convention we felt was the best one that we attended. While some conventions have stand out dolls or grails, for me I really appreciate a good theme executed through the dolls as a collection. -Sang
@@ToyChat I agree.. the dolls are usually way better on hands than on promo pics.. So i am positive about that. About the Convention theme and execution in the past... I think (as a non attendee, but I did last year one), until this one.. almost every convention felt like within the theme; this year convention to me was the first one that feels kinda disconnected from the expectation.. and having a different take (or obsession) on each line kinda aggravated that. But looking at the past conventions the ones that standout (to me) are probably the most representative or the ones that the expectation were met, like the Fairytale and the Supermodel Conventions.

I'm so disappointed in Integrity. I understand the members club thing, but to make it close to impossible to purchase them from their website is unfair. Third-party vendors raise the prices to an astronomical rate. I missed out on a lot of figures. I did not get to finish my Jem line. Integrity also needs to stop the bs about Sideshow. Sideshow does not sell its products. The majority of people who go to Sideshow are placed on an indefinite waitlist.
We can relate. Our suggestion is to be an active member of the W Club to get the latest updates when dolls are announced and when their IT direct dolls are restocked. IT has a few basic dolls available on their website. But they are slow to restock them. Just keep up with their email updates. For dealer dolls and slideshow, most of them sell out during the W Club members confidentiality period, so you have to be a member to get the news first. I hope that helps. -Sang

Great Review! I discovered Integrity Toys through watching your videos. (Thanks guys!) I joined the WClub this year and was instantly Team NuFace. The WClub event was the only part of the convention I was able to get tickets for and I was severely disappointed with the fashions. I love Rayna so I’m still getting her despite that awful outfit… but although Dominique is beautiful, her lack of hair and lack of usable fashion was the biggest disappointment of all. I still love Jessie’s work and NuFace but how could he/they think that a majority of High Fashion Doll Collectors would be enthusiastic or appreciative of a Power Rangers outfit and sweaty football pants for convention dolls? 😭😭
The W Club event is always a mixed bag. Sometimes the dolls are stunning, sometimes they require some redressing and work to fit your style. But they are always daring and topics of conversations! Rayna will look great in something formfitting or youthful. I have some ideas on how I would redress her. Dominique will need some work too. But I do love her screening! Jessy was a breath of fresh air for the company. His designs are fresh and edgy. His designs don't always hit the mark. I hope he can take the feedback this year and do something different next year. -Sang

I like Alejandra the doll is perfect, Poppy again as aways is amazing but I feel like she is kind of similar to the Friend or Foe Poppy. I feel like I've seen her already. I'm an East 59th collector and I love Victoire but I have no idea where she's going in this Ariana/Eyes Wide Shut kind of look? I think it would make more sense on a different doll? Rayna is pretty but the football inspiration is too literal, she's just in a pair of football pants? Maybe had it been interpreted as a skirt or shorts even it would be better? I'm just glad my FOMO isn't too bad with this first days batch.
We loved Victoire! Chris said the Mugler '95 collection was inspired by 50's fashions so it made sense to him to connect the two eras together. She is very different for a E59th doll but we do hope the line gets more recognition since it is such a beautiful and well crafted line. We took a risk and preordered Rayna. Hopefully she's gorgeous in person. Her outfit will probably have to go. This Rayna will look great in something more casual or trendy. Though we, collectors, shouldn't have to redress to enjoy a doll, right? -Sang

I do wish nuface was more high fashion and not magazine sport swear looks. Especially for Convention. Domonique, and Alejandra were my fav for the first day. The nuface dolls were really meant to be a capsule collection.
We were definitely expecting something different for the "obsession" theme. Jessy is always creative and daring with his designs. He has brought in so many new collectors because of that. I just think his NU.Face dolls for the convention wasn't very cohesive as a group of dolls. -Sang

I was really thinkjng that we'll have nuface for the style lap since the last two conventions already had poppy and FR.... Instead they go for poppy again.. Maybe because sports theme is not a good design for a nuface style lab

I think they just know peoples' names because they've done lots of conventions, not necessarily because they're friends with them or getting special treatment. I agree that the exclusivity/difficulty of getting in is off-putting though. That's why I just watch these videos instead of attempting to buy any dolls, because the process would drive me mad. 😄 I can't stand complicated or competitive collecting.
yup, not a fan of Natalia. The French pronunciations are atrocious hahaha. yes max! on point doll and the fashion does not match. For "athletic" wear... I would have been happier with sweats. Im a bit over the idea of "diversity" being Nubian skintone... clearly theres collectors that want everything in Nubian. Can we please make Asians the new Nubian? Your reviews, I must say gives almost the same excitement as the wclub presentations even tho I probably disagree with half of your opinions hehehe. great job!

I was also getting Star Wars vibes from the buckles, all the metallic mixed in made me think of droids. I guess the hair pushed that image.
