My brother and I know what it's like, as we lost our family home. We now live in a trailer that's too small for us but we are lucky to have a roof over our heads. We wish we could move into a house in another town because we have to travel 25 miles for groceries etc. We've lived in this trailer for almost four years and have had to buy a new stove, washer/dryer and a new refrigerator as the old one we had quit. The furnace/ac that came with this trailer didn't work so we bought space heaters and we had to buy a new ac because the old one we had quit. We are senior citizens and we live on small incomes. It's hard but we make it and are glad we don't live on the streets, which my brother did for ten years. Glad someone helped this family and I hope they can find a place to live. God bless.

@@deborahross9974 I can only imagine thr hardship with gas being so high. I've lived that same distance from the store in the past but gas wasn't near the price it is now. I've seen good times but there has been very bad times too. My health is bad right now so I haven't been able to work in 6 months. I'm the caregiver for my 10 year old daughter and my adult disabled son who is waiting for a heart transplant. It scares me to think what will happen to them if I die and I'm worried about the future for us if I live. I just want to go back to work again, I was holding down 2 jobs before my health failed in January.
Wow, older people, brother, and sister sticking together,helping each other. I would never have that kind of relationship with either of my brother, absolutely not.

Praying they find a place to live. I'm a divorce single mother of 3 boys and we got kick out our home because they wanted to move in tenants that can pay the high rent. We was paying 1150. But they rented our place for 1600.00. We barely got a new place because they want you to make 3 times as much rent. I'm thankful and blessed to have a roof today for my kids.

When the new landlord knew we were struggling financially since Grandma died and uncle was in the hospital,he found a buyer for our house and land, 20 thousand pesos (Philippine currency) it was big money that time,. When uncle died the new owner of the house came and kicked us out even we asked for days extension just to take care of funeral but he never listen. It was years ago but I never forget it.

No family should have to go through this. This housing crisis has been created by greedy landlords. I hope they get what they deserve. What you acquire through others' suffering disappears like water through your fingers.
Yes, there is plenty of Greed involved. We also have to mindful of the WHOLE year, these people who do have property went with out receiving any rent at all. There are also mom and pop landlords, that own their property, that went up on their rent like everyone else. Taxes are also insanely high. I just finished a project in Cali working, and I can honestly say most of the Country will go in the same direction as California. I heard a lady speaking about this, back in 2016. And NOW it appears to be that way. The whole State of California has priced out the people in the economy.The rent there is Insane. I had a friend paying 300 and something, every week, for a tiny little room, at a hotel like set up, in which she couldn't even invite a guess over. That was the cheapest thing she could find. She later found a unit in Mexico, and moved.

Family with hard-working parents DON'T go through this. LAZY people are the only one facing this issue
Unfortunately rent prices have skyrocketed and I'm not sure why. It's made it extremely challenging for people to remain housed or even to move. Rental criteria is also becoming unreachable for many people. Not everyone makes 3 times the rent! Low income housing is scarce and usually has a long wait list. I've been on a wait list for the past 13 years. It's not as easy as people might think.
There are more people in need than community resources available. Including shelter space, food boxes, etc.
Additionally, resources are dependent also on the area you're in. For example, in Clark County Washington, resources are scarce but if you move to King County (Tacoma/Seattle area) they have way more resources. For me, this would mean moving costs to move 350 miles, uprooting my children from family/friends and their sense of stability. Not to mention, King County has some of the highest rent in the state and housing is difficult to find. In exchange for access to more low cost or no cost resources, it's not usually an affordable move for someone who's already struggling.

Finland has ZERO homeless. Other states and cities are will approach Zero homeless by 2024. Residents pay according to their income and landlords get huge TAX BREAKS. Why is Vegas not doing this?

Don't blame the landlords for increasing the rental. Blame the government for printing trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars and then paying workers not to go to work. Thats why there are not enough houses built and too much money pushing up prices for the available homes

Honey every one is diagnosed deteriorating back if u chose hospice I pretty much can tell u that ur patients r close to death. Plenty folks million times worse than her. Obviously she's getting a disability check. She's not disabled
Why is her current landlord evicting her if they are supposedly great tenants? Why are new places demanding 3x the rent? Landlords will only make you do that if you have really bad credit or don't meet the income requirements.
I bet if she worked, her husband wouldn't be struggling. But alas, he has to take on all the responsibilities because she's too sad to work. How convenient for her. Her depression allows her to sleep in and watch TV all day.
