Maybe one of the greatest Future Islands' sets, but surely you don't mean in the history of music. It would not be in the top 1,000.

His screams on "Long Flight" are actually incredible.
This band is my "go to" every morning driving into the office top down. They set me up for a productive day, and immediately put a smile on my face. I saw them for the first time about 6 months ago in Sonoma County. It was a very small winery venue and they slayed the shit off the vines. Love this band! Sam can growl any f ing time he wants, hardest working front man in the industry.

The ending of Tin Man is just sick. Everyone was on point, especially the drummer.

One of the best live performances of A Dream of You and Me, ever.
He introduces Long Flight so matter of factly when in fact it is a very important song and one of the stand out tracks of the decade. Sam always does the song justice and gives it everything which is what it deserves, those people criticising his voice need to understand that he is a story teller and I want to hear his story everytime.
People criticizing his voice? What are they thinking? His voice is fantastic!

Last half of this set (and performance) is outstanding. Long Flight obviously means so much! Just seen them in Manchester. Wish I would have been at this night.

Absolute magic starting at the 3'46 mark...the drummer in his wolfman mask, pounding away at his kit; the lights; Herring's manic gesticulations....a beautiful climax of a great song

I had known about Future Islands and did not understand their music until I saw them live. It completely changed my perspective... These guys are very talented.
They played yesterday here in Denmark at Skanderborg Festival. Their show was shown live on one of our national tv channels. I have never heard of this band before but I was blown away when I saw their concert on tv.

I love their amazing musical arrangements, the singer's powerful voice.
I didn't think that a band could make me love them as much as I love the Cure...Future Islands just kills me.
Pamela Kain I love the Cure too, and FUture Islands is the only other band I play regularly. Saw them several years ago in Santa Barbara, they were amazing to watch and sounded amazing!

Just discovered FI, amazing group, very soulful music, unique mix of voice, instruments, (amazing they don't use a lead guitar?), bass, drums, keys, all terrific - you can tell how talented they are as live shows are amazing...good for them, wish u the best....best dancer also, could easily win DWTS (if those judges knew talent)

What a beautifully talented band. I caught them out of the blue in Texas a few years ago. I was waiting for Modest Mouse to come on. Future Islands opened for them. They totally blew me away.
This is one of the only bands I prefer to listen to live than on record. I find that outstanding.
I come back to this video at least once a year. The performance is incredible, the change of pitch, the costumes. Tremendous.

This cats dance moves crack me up but they seem really genuine and it's hard not to respect that. I like some of these songs, they are very strange and unique. 'Before The Bridge' gives me a particular energy. I was struck by how weird and unique "Tin Man" is/was when I first heard it.

I agree. I always tend to gravitate towards music that is strange & unique, but at the same time addicting , cause I want to understand where they're coming from with their music. That's how I felt when I first saw an Ariel Pink show years ago. That dude tripped me out, but definitely got my attention to figure him out. Plus, it's all good fun music.
