I would give my eye teeth for this baby doll diesel Caddy especially since it has the revamped great DX 5.7L diesel engine. I wish I had 25 of each model GM 78-85 Diesel.

Very impressive. Looks good but I'm sure all the plastic exterior bits are ready to crumble. They all do on these caddy's. The paint is holding them together for now.

a Diesel... WOW.. I thought it was only for the oldsmobile.
The original battery would have been a Delco Freedom battery, not a Carquest aftermarket battery...
He didn't take the battery out of the box. You're just seeing a cardboard top with the Carquest logo on it.

I think the Cadillac's from the early 70's and early to mid 80's were horrible. I see why GM lost market share and almost went bankrupt a couple times. You notice Mercedes and BMW never went to green digital gauges and pillow top velour seats YUCK
Diesel? o_O I can't believe a nice american luxury car like this has a diesel engine. That motor ruins the whole car...:-(

jared p A coupe car with a diesel engine makes baby Jesus cry. It sounds and feels too idustrial. It's okay for a truck, but not refined enough for a car.
put your self in there shoes back in 81' they paved the way for all the diesel cars we see today like mercedes, volkswagons and so on..
jared p Yeah, that's true. It's not a bad diesel engine for the time. Mercedes and BMW didn't even have a V8 diesel in the 80s. But I still think this kind of cars are way better with a petrol engine.:)
jared p Not those Olds 350 diesels they put in these cars. That big block Cadillac gasser they offered back then lasted longer.
