- It’s NOT OK to be upset. It’s NOT OK to be angry. It’s NOT OK to feel disappointed.
That’s what the world tells us. There's been a movement to watch our thoughts and feelings, making sure that we're positive at all times. We receive messages that we must shift these ‘bad’ feelings and find better ones. But when we do this, we close down and shut off parts of ourselves, suppressing the fullness of our emotions. To feel whole and be whole, we must honour all of it - good and bad. All emotions are beautiful and create a fullness and wholeness in our experience.
They are powerful forces that our bodies can use as fuel for action and healing. Our thoughts create reality, not the other way around. So when our reality doesn't look the way we want it to and brings up emotions that are unpleasant to us, that is the message we are being given to start building a bridge between what is and what can be.
Taking time to be aware of our reactions, thoughts and emotions will bring us into a space of clarity and balance where we can make informed decisions guided and supported by our soul... decisions that will usher in release and healing for ourselves and all of life around us.

There's a switch lately, whereas more and more people are validating the importance of emotions while also returning to the basics, going off grid, trying to live slower and closer to nature. I hope we can re-teach society to feel deeply.
Beautiful! My mother would CRY when she saw a try cut down, even if she had to cut one in her own yard. The native American's had the right idea. We cannot OWN the the land. We are PART of the land.

I also live in constant grief for animals, nature, and suffering, vulnerable beings everywhere. It never leaves me. It never stops mattering. That's what happens when you truly love the natural world, the spirit of nature that lives in all of us. The suffering of the planet is our suffering.

This lady conveys a message so heartfelt and strong that all of humaity should listen. I so wish that the money men, powerbrokers and others of the avaricious class would heed her words. Rampant consumerism, hand in hand with a blatant disregard for other sentient beings and nature will end our species. The old trees around her home may have been cut down but the young now growing will bring hope and joy whilst they stand sentinel over her. Thank you for making such an important video.

I feel very sad at times and frustrated and even angry that much of traditional politics, economics and religion, especially religious, ideological and economic fundamentalism obstinately refuses to see that existence on this planet is not all centered on humans, separate from nature. We are an essential part of a greater whole that is to be respected, protected and held sacred.
Yet, I realize that if I am to be healed and at peace I have to forgive this inability in all of us to to see beyond default perspectives, that have been ingrained in us by centuries of indoctrination by self absorbed religion and education.
If we are to continue to live in a viable and nurturing world , it is imperative that humans evolve to see that we are a integral part of an amazing of web of life and personal responsibility and cooperation is required to maintain it, not neglect and dominance which is eventually suicidal and destructive to all that exists on this planet.

Thank you for the poetry at the start of film by Wendel Berry. Yes, fortunate in deed to live in Washington State. - we tried but found
it very expensive and ultimately had to leave. A progressive place is not progressive if the average hard working soul cannot live
there. We felt very connected to the land also and am encouraged that this woman is able to live there and protect it and tell
others about the beauty. We all need to hear this in order to save our beautiful home, where ever we live.

while I see nothing wrong with understanding our superposition in time and consciousness on this planet, I have to temper my overall "feelings" based on the reality of time gone by (while understanding what will happen after I'm gone from here) while also knowing that the future of the planet is strong and it will endure long after we're gone. life here is fluid with species coming and going throughout the history of the planet. what has gone from the past faced its limited time here, and the changes allowed their transition. we humans will also face this dilemma, as time marches along, uncaring of our "feelings" or what we currently desire of our future. and of this I take solace in my time here, and that I took what I needed while enjoying what I also left behind for others...... its a good life if you can take a moment to understand your position in this reality without the ego that haunts most people through guilt, fear and envy......

Thank you for this message. It helps to keep me vigilant when I am feeling like my efforts are in vain. I struggle to find items that are not packaged in plastic or styrofoam , and I bypass any food items package styrofoam. I compost, I try to make homemade treats for my pets. We separate our tin, steel and glass and take them to appropriate recycling centers. I only put paper and plastic in the mainstream city recycling program, not knowing if it is truly being recycled. I’ve heard 30% ? I have switched over to bamboo for toilet paper, for over 4 years I use deodorant in glass containers or cardboard tubes, recently toothpaste in tin tubes. I am now learning more about fair trade coffee and the ins and outs of that industry. It all takes effort, and I get discouraged sometimes, but nevertheless keep doing my small part. I thank you for this video and appreciate all your efforts. It is a beautiful and sad video. I loved how you talked about the old growth forest and how it is helping the new trees to be nourished. If everyone pitches in big or small change can happen. ☮️

This is really lovely ,thank you! We need ALL NATURE! People are wondering why there are so few or none at all summer visitor birds such as Swift, Swallow, House-martins etc visiting our shores now-days ! I point out there are so few insects now-days for them to feed themselves or their young! Just look at how clear our cars are of squashed insects even after long journeys ? My village used to be full of Martins, Swifts ,Swallows & spotted Flycatchers , last year I saw just a few swifts about the church tower! Insecticide sprays etc are non selective so all destroyed!

Phoebe put on the table idea / concept that emotions are a form of currency and I do agree . What are real currencies in this life /world/ realm ? To recognize true nature, essence, importance , prevalence of E-motions as a form of electromagnetic energy charge/discharge medium of exchange therefore currency may help us to perceive / innerstand our world/realm with both ours eyes spiritual / physical simultaneously . Stunning shots as always! Captivating . Are you still using the Sony 90mm Marco lens ? I bought one too , amazing lens. I also got carried away and bought a vintage 135mm 1.8 Nikkor lens that is really dreamy although trickier to use due to the focal length then a 90mm
Oh yes, we're loving the 90mm lens - it's our go to lens and we use it more than anything else in the gear bag. I well understand biodiversity loss. Daily numerous logging trucks pass my house where they are cutting down Ohio's Nat'l forests, raping mother nature for greed and profit. The loss of these forests is a loss that we will not see again in our lifetimes as it takes 60 to 80 years to re-grow these mature trees. The rapists of the forests are not replanting what they have stolen from us and the earth. The loss of these trees is the loss of the habitat that all forest animals depend to survive. I saddens me deeply.

Very few get to live surrounded by nature and the peace of quiet. Most have to live with less trees and more buildings and cement. Lumped together with TOO many other people.

While sitting in complete comfort and a home with mod coms; sparkly Mac laptop, a “convenient” microwave. These modern gadgets are harmful to the environment. The hypocrisy is alarming. People are so happy to take the benefits of modern society without looking at their own accountability.
Should we be cutting down trees unnecessarily just to make money, no, but we do need to live somewhere. Sadly, because of modern civilisation, majority of humans have lost connection to the earth, to animals, It’s not something that is valued, we don’t touch the soil or hunt/grow our own food, and we need to remind ourselves and our children the importance of sustaining the land we live on. If we take we must give back. There is a harmony in nature, there is balance with all inhabitants, and we should honour that too.

Why so judgy lighten up a-bit, if you’re so uptight about the mention of God missing Go make your own video and yap about it all you want. The mention of a creator does not lessen the video any bit and it was very presumptuous of you to label them atheists just by their occupation. To me the person you labeled as far from God is way closer than you were when you made this remark. Check yourself before making half hearted remarks.
