There are some more better suggestions- 1. Best is to use 18650 rechargeable battery with tp 4056 charging unit in the radio. This will turn the radio into a rechargeable unit and power backup will be more than this assembly. One can easily install the battery and charger in the D cells compartment of the radio. Battery terminals of 18650 battery can be connected to the positive and negative terminals of the D cells connections in the radio. Socket of 4.5 volts DC connection can be changed into c-type charging cable compitable to charge with any mobile charger. A little knowledge of electrical system is required here, if not then this can be done by any general radio, tv or any mobile machenic. 2. If you have already a mobile power bank then only change the 4.5 volts DC socket of the radio into c type socket. You can easily enjoy your radio without using D cells. Lithium battery delivers 3.7 to 4.2 volts which is safe and compitent to run this radio. Hope this will help the viewers.

Sir, is radio me aur pagariya 5 band creta me kaun sabse achha hai aur kiska reception jyada achha hai? Philips champion me frequency ko tune karne me kya sach me jyada paresani hoti hai?
Talk about the quality of this model of philips. Within six months the gang condenser becomes so scratchy that one can not tune any station. Also no spare parts of philips radios and service center are available in India. Philips has stopped manufacturing of radios in India.

Philips has newly relaunched the Champion model on July 2nd 2024...It contains fm,am,sw1,,,and sw2.... ,,,, you may have it's first model having tv1/ tv2 band,, for service centres and after service customer care you have to contact it's e-mail or phone which is given on the new model's packaging box...

सर नहीं मुझे कम से कम 10साल बीत गये सैलो की वरतो नहीं करता मैं खुद मकैनिक हू लिथियम बैटरी 3.7 लगाई है चार्ज करने वाला रेडियो का सिस्टम यही रहेगा सभी कुछ ठीक ठाक रहेगा लेकिन थोड़ी सी काम हो जाएगी और चार्ज भी कम से कम 15 दोनो तक जरूरत नहीं
