Match Day 2022

Match Day is the culmination of four challenging years, and, in some ways, is the most exciting day of the medical school experience. The process begins in the fall of the final year of medical school. Students first apply, then interview with the residency programs of their choice. Applicants and program directors rank each other in order of preference and a computer matches the students with their residencies. Every year at a predetermined time, medical students across the country learn simultaneously which hospital will educate them for the next three to seven years. This year, 185 Tulane School of Medicine students matched with programs around the country. 31 will stay here in Louisiana.
