Yes, this flows much better than bcc for sizable lists. Also, there is about a 1 second pause between emails so it is much easier on system communications.
The Mail Merge extension no longer works when you update to Windows 11; or so I've found. If I'm wrong about this, please let me know. If anyone can suggest any other method to have Thunderbird (in Windows 11) actually mail to multiple recipients, with customized content for each recipient, I'd like to hear how. Thanks.
You may be correct as I've not tested it on Windows 11. The customized content for each recipient I've not tried although Mail Merge uses variable fields to do it's magic. I hope this helps.
Not sure if you resolved this. I am using windows 11 and just tried this and it worked fine. Maybe uninstall the plugin then reinstall and see if that helps.
Não precisa. O próprio thunderbird esta fazendo isso nas configurações. Antes de enviar, você vai em ferramentas, e tem exatamente essa opção que você esta procurando.
Hi Bob, Thanks for the tutorial. Do you know what this error means? [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x8050000e (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_INPUT) [nsIConverterInputStream.readString]" nsresult: "0x8050000e (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_INPUT)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://mailmerge/content/utils.js :: csv :: line 393" data: no]
I've not seen that error before but it looks like a system error. I suggest you either re-install Thunderbird or check for updates. Also, you might check for updates on the "mail merge" plugin. I hope this helps.
Very well done, thank you sir!
Bob, you absolute legend, thank you, saved me sooooo much time in a clear concise video, thank you, thank you, thank you. 👍

Used to watch your c60 vids. Did not know you are involved with connecting consciousness. Very cool!
Bib how you doing you haven't pisted in awhile.
Thanks! This was very helpful. Do you happen to know if I can add an attachment while sending out an email this way?
I see no reason why you couldn't.
When I just did my first test email, I have the option to add an attachment during the steps.
Great, thank you!
