I have a ton of noise in the mix with my directional DPA headmic. As soon as I move my head, I instantly get a loud rumble coming directly from the mounting. For such an expensive mic, this is extremely sobering.

Hi Marcus, I'm very sorry to hear you have an issue. In order to determine where the problem is and how we can help, we need a bit more information. Would you be able to send an email to service@dpamicrophones.com with info on the issue, the model, purchasing date and location and what system you are using it with?
      Kind regards
      DPA Microphones

DPA, I think you have the best microphones, I recently purchased the 4066, may I ask what would be the best way to take advantage of such mic if I want to plug it directly to my sony a7 iii, is there any small amp/eq that you would advice to plug it and it goes to the camera, thank you and sorry for the long message, great videos especially the ones done by the gentleman with beard and glasses (sorry I didn't his name) 😊

Hi Aaron. This camera doesn't provide phantom power, and 4066 requires phantom power. But you can get a lot of solutions for that, including wireless systems and external preamps. We don't have any one in particular that we favour over others, though.
Oh, and his name is Bo Brinck. :-)

Hello. We have some difficulties with our microphones DPA 4066. Every time we make a records with this microphone there is an extra sound. This sound appears when the boom touches the neck of a person. We never can adjust the mic right for this sound to dissapear. We never have clear sound, although we have already watched many videos of how to use this mic. Is there any chance you can help us with this problem? Or maybe we can send a letter to some place where we can get an answer? We can send samples. Thank you!

How do I know which side is the front of the microphone on the cardioid version? Both looks exactly the same.

It shows the front at 2:30 in the video

But the entrance is on the both side of the capsule and looks exactly the same.
