You've never seen a Presa Canario in action, have you? Best protection dog I have ever owned. You teach them to "break" the attack, they will attack on their own if the few barks they give as a warning are not deterred.
Lovely dog, very well trained! I always feel sorry for the decoys. Those guys often end up with elbow and shoulder injuries over time.
I feel more sorry for the poor dogs. Those canines are abused on a daily basis! 😡
You can't be serious. You are clearly very ignorant of what really goes on with those poor animals. The dogs bite thousands of innocent Americans each year, including innocent bystanders, police officers, even their own handlers.
According to the humane society, the most common victims of abuse are dogs. And police dogs are no exception.

Choking, punching, and slamming a trusting dog and then calling it “training” is akin to beating a child and calling it “discipline" neither is excusable!

I have had a few decoys tell me not to bring my Presa Canario's back for training. My dogs are a lot bigger than the German Shepherds. Much more of a heavier bite.
@@VincentDavito Didn't know that breed, had to look it up. But size isn't everything. However, I'm a German Shepherd fan. There are dogs that are better at specific tasks, but the German Shepherd ranks in the top in all tasks. Best all-round dog there is as far as I'm concerned.

This is not protection , it is sport. The dog is playing tug. When the sleeve was slipped he got his prey item which had nothing to do with the man . A protection dog woud drop the sleeve and go after the man.
Right, my Presa would never stop until the man was dead or a family member called him off.

Try a Presa Canario to defend you. My neighbor bought one, and it sits out in his front yard when people pass by, they do not even slow down to look at him, but I had a German Shepherd and yet people would slow down looking at him. With a Presa, no one walks up to you to pet that type of dog, they do with a German Shepherd.
