- We went to the Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival again this year in mid-February.
It was warm during the daytime in Izu at this time of the year, which was just right for Ui's rehabilitation.
There is an sweetfish shop at the cherry blossom festival site, and Aty went straight to there.
He must have mistaken it for a sweetfish festival.

Aty: A little boy otter who came to our house at the age of 9 months.
At first he couldn't even swim in the river, but now he loves the river more than anything else and swims in it all year round.
Whenever we go out, he always walks ahead of everyone, so he has come to be called “Captain Aty”.
Ui: A tomboy with comical movements.
Because of her ferocious nature, she had to go from one owner to another.
At first, she was so ferocious that Aty was too frightened to even touch her.
But Ui opened up to us and now she and Aty make out every day.
Aty and Ui have been issued a certificate of registration as an internationally rare wild animal and plant species.
Although Ui may appear calm today, she used to be so ferocious that people could not approach her.
After more than a year of being bitten, she finally came to live with us.
Otters are very intelligent and watch the people around them very carefully.
They will never open their hearts to you if you only have a superficial relationship with them.
They are also very active animals and require several hours of exercise per day.
They need to be walked outside or swam in the river for two to three hours every day.
The amount of exercise they get inside the house will never be enough to satisfy their needs.
Please do your research on otters before you think that “I want to keep one."
You need to think carefully about whether you can face them with your life.

This makes me so happy. Seeing Uitan doing so well after her surgery❤ She’s grown strong and independent but still loves to snuggle with papa 🧑🏻🦱and her beloved Aty who is living life to it fullest as he should 🦦🦦🐾🥰❤️

Aty looks so full of springiness, he is happy to be outside swimming in the river. Ui looks fantastic, she's had a good recovery from surgery & is now being cared for & loved by everyone there, it must be tiring for her at times but she will get stronger every day. Seeing Aty & Ui loving their time together makes me so happy. Thanks to Otterman (recovering from illness too) & everyone else there. ❤🦦🦦❤

Ui likes to enjoy the views while Aty is all about the sweet fish and swimming in the river. I can imagine the Cherry Blossom festival is a joy for all the people who are there. I bet the air is very fragrant 😊... Here in Knoxville Tennessee USA, our Dogwood Festival is in April. There will be open gardens, one of which is over 100 years old. It was closed for many years until 4 years ago. I got to visit it and when my Mother was a child, she got to visit it, too.. Some neighborhoods have many Dogwood trees and the streets are marked with Pink stripes to designate as Dogwood trails. Homeowners on those trails put in a lot of work to get their yard looking good. There are certain events during the Festival, one is a Craft show.. I always like it. Do you like music? Knoxville just last week had the Big Ears Festival at various places. It gets a lot of people here..Ok, I'll hush now 😊...Come see us sometime 😊...

C’est un ravissement d’un bout à l’autre d’admirer ce couple de loutres nager dans le bonheur sous les cerisiers en fleurs.
Même si Aty doit réfréner son primesaut après tant de temps passé loin des rivières, pour ménager une Ui encore convalescente, et faire preuve d’un peu de patience même si cela le contrarie un peu, jusqu ‘à ce qu’Ui, après un rêve agité, l’excite de plus belle !
Les cerisiers en fleurs à mi-février, cela paraît tôt : en France c’est plutôt début avril… essences différentes ou précocité consécutive au changement climatique ?
