I think both indian and western clothes are cool. It just depends on your personal preference, irrespective of whether you're an Indian or a foreigner. If wearing bralette or sports bra or whatever makes someone happy, then great, it's not a problem. It's about feeling confident and happy. If someone feels happier wearing saree, then so be it. Sarees are amazing. Not old fashioned at all.
Ummm, I think it's not about what's cool and what isn't but more about how we as Indians have an inferiority complex towards our own traditional attires and values in general, maybe we need to become more confident in our own native culture, and it's not just Sarees and kurtas, infact we're blessed with such a rich cultural diversity that we can find different attires and style of clothing literally at every 1000km distance....for eg. In my native place, there are Diff ways of wearing the turban and dhoti which differs in Diff communities and districts itself! This is the diversity that we're losing as a generation and it's really sad Tbh
@@vishalprajapat9232 I just meant both indian and western are cool however one should never think badly of Indian tradition and culture. We should be extremely proud of our diversity rather than being ashamed of it.

As an Indian girl, I always felt uncomfortable wearing women's clothing whether traditional or western I have always wore men's/boy's clothes as I am comfortable in them and they are practical as well so if you ask me, then my bottom line on this issue is wear whatever makes you feel you and you are comfortable in.

Since last few weeks I have been noticing that western celebrity culture is also a lot about sexualizing oneself and feeling powerful while doing that. But that's how things work there and its necessarily not the same for India. Our culture is way different from their's ;
And Indians cannot make a difference between what's bold/hot and what's downright vulgar. That's another reason why immature teens try to sexualize their attires and wear impractical clothes.
But we can differentiate between hot and downright vulgar when its a MEN if cannot do the same with women we need to be more open minded! !
@@Poipoi-z5y where do u even see vulgar clothing in men. One of the best videos on this changing fashion trend. I always objected to terms like "boring, behan Ji, and aunty" when someone traditionally drapes a sari. Wearing proper clothing doesn't make you outdated, nor does slipping into a mini skirt make you modern. It's always about your mindset, thoughts, and views. Movies like Hum dil de chuke sanam kind of conveyed it in a subtle way where the lead actor was seen wearing traditional attire and speaking fluent English. So let's not get carried away by things just because people in the west are doing it. Thanks for this powerful video post 👍
Saree is ONE OF THE MOST VERSATILE dresses .
You have 100s of ways to drape a saree TRADITIONALLY . Modern styles are cherry on the top .
Heck don't like sarees ? Drape them into long skirts !
A blouse can change the whole look of the saree
But I guess there are many occasions where pant and shirt are convinient .
I think people prefer western clothes over Indian because it is somewhat more comfortable, I personally love saree but feel more comfortable in jeans for everyday wear so it mostly depends on personal preferences
I just love 90s actress fashion Simple elegant and also indian ❤️
Totally agree with your opinion. Wear what makes you comfortable, do not care whether people will call you a nun or whatever. They don't know any better. Never cared about following the trends, I always believe in being original. And funnily enough, the things I have been wearing for so long are coming in fashion now. So it feels good to be kind of a trendsetter instead of being influenced by others.

Saree may not be boring but it's uncomfortable for many women . Wearing it takes too much time and effort.
This might be off topic.. But honestly these western clothes like tank tops, denims, sweatshirts and shorts.. had given us a feeling of confidence and self love.. Coz by our beloved society only since childhood we are made to feel that if we wear suits, fully covered clothes etc.. then only we are safe and sanskari.
Another important reason that takes us away from such clothes! Indian clothes have their own respect and grace.. and thats not going anywhere 😇❤
Hello spill bee i would really really love to share my few thoughts regarding your statement so talking about western wear yes I'm a student and I cannot always wear a saree in my everyday basis wearing a jeans or some comfy tees makes it easy and yes i agree evolution are made but in this heat it's not compulsory to always keep ourselves covered or draped in a saree
Your point is right, but about this "keep ourselves covered and draped in saree" it's a bit wrong, saree is not covered as you know saree also has space like Waistline, and blouse has also had space, and you know there are many modern ways to draped saree and thousands of design of, and my mom and many women in my family wear saree on daily basis, that there are many types of saree for different seasons. And they never feel uncomfortable
Yes many women wears it but it's also said in the video of wearing it with a belt etc etc... That's what I'm looking forward to say is just think in your mind wearing sarees Everywhere
Even in our own country women are choosing kurtis nd pants without showing much skin is more comforting
I'm an indian i love my saree but except for some occasions I'll not be able to carry it everywhere
I am so in love with your thought and the way you bring all this in one video..like sochne pe mujboor kar dete hai ki kya hum sachme indian hai ya yeh western culture dekh dekh k unk jaise ban rahe hai..

Bollywood is becoming a sasta copy of Hollywood. But our own Telugu film industry still shows Indian culture and values proudly.
I 200% resonate with all your thoughts portrayed in this video! Good going ! We need to tell the youth following cultural attires is not old fashioned..it is also cool!
Women wore saree without any blouse or top in pre-mughal and/or pre-colonial era. So wering saree on a bralette is no big deal. I like your content but this is way too judgemental and wardrobe policing kind of video.
No Komal Pandey was harm in this video 😌😌
Kudos to you to touch such a topic! It's essential we realize what's practical rather than anything else. Wide leg jeans are practical over skiny jeans on a daily basis. Similarly wearing shoes instead of rubber slippers in rain is impractical ...
The best statement for women should be -- one is free to wear whatever they want but always remember that with freedom comes the responsibility...
Wearing a bra is literally not the thing to show your woman empowerment
No one said that wearing a bra equal to women empowerment but wearing a bra if she likes dispute of all patriarchal Norms is definitely women empowerment
Aren't you contradicting your statement then? Saying a woman is free to wear anything she wants but at the same time you say bra is not woman empowerment🗿
I am so happy that still this western trend is not very popular in Pakistan..Only some elite spoiled children wear such clothes but our common people still wear Shalwar Kameez dupatta..Alhamdullilah

Honestly, current fashionable outfits practical hai ya nahi depends on the person wearing it. We are no one to decide whether a certain outfit is practical for another person or not. If they want to wear it they can, even if we disagree with it personally.
Yes, you're absolutely true. Our indian minds are still colonized. We take western as modern, indian or bharatiye as old-fashioned. This is my personal experience. I live in West Delhi. I prefer wearing salwar suits with dupatta and wear sindoor as I'm married. But some neighbours, (even my convent-educated sister-in-law) consider me old-fashioned, old-generation. But I stick to my style based on my sanskriti. Thanks for a judicious video.
I think there are quite a few influencers now showcasing casual Indian daily wear 😊 the issue you said with the mentality sounds more like something my parents generation could have resonated with where wearing western clothes was considered woke. Being in touch with your roots & representing it to fashion seems like the new cool at least in my circle . But I’m not sure if that’s representative of everyone 👍 keep going 😊
Agree with you...but also..i feel really uncomfortable wearing saree..But ofcourse every dresses are cool and unique in there own way...i love to wear shorts dresses because i like it(i feel good wearing it )..ofcourse i will love to try our own culture dresses..and it's our duty to respect every culture including our own.
I agree with you... You can wear whatever you want to but atleast wear something comfortable and According to the occasion... What I can wear on a beach holiday can't be appropriate for a marriage function... People need to understand this difference... Also, those who show the not-so-practical daily basis outfit ideas... I am quite sure they themselves also won't wear such clothes on daily basis... So, decide what you want to wear wisely... And not on what's trending ... That keeps on changing... Also trending is nothing other than a narration set and then jammed into people's mind ... Whereas, your outfit and styling should be solely your choice...
I am a Bengali and like to wear saree in Bengali Traditional style a lot... And, even I want to try some other traditional styles like South Indian and Maharashtrian styles... And, I am proud of it... Claim your culture with pride... ❤️

Everything you mentioned in the video is very practical.. saree or any other traditional attire is very pretty, but whenever there is a topic of copying the western dressing style, I just don't get why people hardly mention about men's clothing. I get the entire thing on influencer culture and wearing impractical dress out in public but copying or following western dress is done by men far much much more than women.
Ryt, even it's not copying... A person is not bound to follow their ancestors culture, it's their own choice to what to wear. In India before mughals and Britishers women used to wear sari without blouses (topless). Indians followed mughals and British culture of covering women (like purdah system). And women always bring other women down, I know that this girl will never ask any man to wear dhoti.
It's absolutely right ❤️✨
Yaa..I strongly believe that attire doesn't describes anyone because I have seen many examples.
Your voice..... So soothing ❤❤❤
I completely agree with you. What today's influencers are doing in the name of fashion is completely unrealistic. How could we wear a bra in a crowded bus or train and if not just a bra they are covering it with coat, which is impossible to wear in summer. Weird fashion senses
It's been a while now that I'm watching your videos. I've noticed a pattern , that you talk mostly about fashion and how it evolved over time and how it affects the younger generation. I wanted to tell you, I'm really liking your explanations and views on this topic , as I'm doing my university dissertation on "fast fashion", it helps me a gret deal to diversify and broaden my understanding. Thanks a lot for bringing up such amazing content with your reasonable and unbiased explanations.
I love how you're really unbiased and I love yoy videos❤️ genuinely ❤️
She is literally guiding us the right path
I don't know why..... But the most painful thing now a days is that peoples are disconnected with our culture that might not be cool.....just imagine that era when peoples are more dedicated towards Indian culture...... And how beautiful that time is
Very well said!
O just loved you point put this topic. For many times I've been thinking about it that why people are converting to western clothes? Actually our dress never define how much smart we are . Its our behaviour, knowledge and sense which express how much matured fashionable beautiful and smart we are.
I prefer Indian outfits as it showcases royalty and class in itself..
Exactly, we're blindly following jo bhi trend west se aa rha hai. And then people be like our youth is going on the wrong path. Agar koi trend kahi se aata h toh we're the one jo yeh trends set krte hain, we should promote our culture western culture ko promote karne ke liye vo log hain.
Anyways, i like the way you present your opinion ❤️🥰✨ thanks for the video ❤️
I do agree with your take, even though we all have different body types and shapes, following what certain influencers are wearing doesn't mean ki hum par bhi same cheez acha lagega. We should always what makes us comfortable and confident .
You got the exact point... Golden voice just another awesome video
You are right! Dress should be practical to wear. Influencers like Komal Pandey got milions of haters only bcoz of this reason, she was not relatable anymore., Wearing a brallette or bra along with a blazer even in metro cities like delhi is not parctical, ab think of small towns!
You are so mature and yeh sari baate teenager hi nhi adults bhi nhi mante thanks for this amazing content 👍
I really like to wear saree in traditional way with half sleeves and not backless
You are right. Wearing traditional clothes is out of fashion today,.. I am a mordan girl and I proudly wear sarees and other traditional clothes
Spill bee’s Maturity lavel was so high 💯
An excellent video! 💖👌🏻
I am quite impressed by how stunning Telugu actresses look in movies and in award shows. Like Sai Pallavi, Rashmika, Tamannaah, Krithi Shetty, Anushka Shetty.....they look so beautiful and stylish in Indian attires (which they usually opt for). As Devsena we already know how gorgeous Anushka looked. But do check out how lovely Sai Pallavi's performance was in one of the songs in 'Love story' in Kurti salwar. 😍 In Bollywood, we see actresses and actors wearing only western clothes when it comes to dance performances. (Like in ABCD)
SOMEHOW, we think only by wearing western clothes like bra and ripped jeans we can perform cool dances. (Because Indian clothes are not 'cool' 😑) That's why Sai Pallavi surprised me.
I always agree most of the your points on most topics. They are absolutely correct & well-said with truth. Hats off to your hardwork & content.

I totally agree with you this happens with me i m more comfortable in Indian clothes spcly in summer it's light and easy to carry but then some of my frnds and others judge me like aurat ban gye hai pure
Taking your line-“blindly following western countries…” for the issue of allowing dog to poop on tiled pavements and common premises.
