Thank you for making this video. This is such a niche topic despite it being used by almost every professional artist, specifically with jewellery and fabric designs.
Your so welcome, I'm glad you liked the video!
That crown though 👏👏👏
Definitely a favorite of mine
Thanks so much for the video it’s super helpful for thinking in a more impressionist style
Glad it was helpful!
Loved your explanation of how you do your pieces!
Thanks daddio!
I enjoyed the commentary during your presentation.
Thanks Paul McCall! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Excellent demo. I’m a novice and I definitely overwork.
Thank you 🙏 keep up the practice and you will get there eventually!
♥
Thank you!
😍
✌🙏
You are good
Thank you 🙏
Another amazing artwork and video!! Thanks for sharing!
You did this in one session alla prima? Do you use thinner?
No Problem, thanks so much for watching!
this piece took 2 painting sessions of alla prima. I paint in sections when I know it will take multiple sessions so I can still achieve the same techniques and appearance.
I have a solvent free studio and use Gamblin's Solvent free mediums.
It does thin out the paint but not by much, I only use it to help with paint flow.
maximum ratio I use is 20% medium to 80% paint, any more and you will experience cracking with this particular medium.
Hope this helps!
@@LukeDurdin thanks!
I use Cobra water-mixable oil paint, but mostly use acrylic, can’t seem to get the hang of it with oils 😅
But when I see you paint so peaceful in your videos… wish I could do that.
Can’t wait for your next video 🤗🤗
I always wanted to try water mix able oil paint but im to heavly invested in my oil paint collection 😅
I find acrylics dry to fast for me, I like being able to wipe away or rework paint.
Just keep practicing and you will get there!
@@LukeDurdin do you know the product: Schmincke Medium W ? It can make your regular oilpaints water mixable.
And I use Golden Open acrylics, they dry very slow, it’s amazing.
Oh thats awesome! I'll have to do some research and check it out!
Golden is the king of acrylics 👑
less is more
It's scary how long it took me to realize this 😩
