I think all the hotels are full up in Montgomery AL. Probably Mobile as well.
If you need to evacuate I would say go west to Mobile and park in a Walmart parking lot or something. At least you'll be out of the hurricane.

I see several areas of special concern.
Big Bend and Perry - That's where we'll see landfall and the greatest storm surge.
Tallahassee - Eye is supposed to hit there. It's been a long time so they have lots of older trees that will probably come down and land on power lines.
Southern Georgia - Major damage expected.
Atlanta - It will still be a tropical storm hitting a very condensed area.
Asheville, NC - Looks like they may get some of the most severe flooding.
Nashville, TN - Remnants of storm is projected to stall out there, dumping much of what's left.
Almost all of FL, all of GA, and all of SC are at least in the "watch" area. Much of FL and GA are in the warning area.
