Office goers first impression of under water metro rail. Esplanade to Howrah Maidan

The Howrah Maidan-Esplanade section of the East-West Metro corridor in Kolkata, India is 4.8 kilometers long and includes the first underwater transportation tunnel in the country. The section runs between Howrah Maidan and Esplanade, and includes the first tunnel under the Hooghly River. The tunnel is 520 meters long, and a train takes about 45 seconds to cross it.
