Pray for Rain, Nightmare, With Regards, All of This Is Fleeting, Overflow, The Remedy, Lucid, Relapse…do them all! My favorite band at the moment
the lyrics in Aftertouch makes me CRY af every time tho
I was in a terrible place back in 2019, this song hit me so hard. I have the lyrics "I found my love and let it kill me" tattooed on my arm and it was only after talking to their drummer Dan when I found out the meaning beind it
@@kau5110 Overflow made me ball my eyes out when I first heard it
Also their song Martyr (waves) is one of my favorite songs of all time.
Unfortunately their guitarist passed away and ever since they've been on hiatus when it comes to new music. Jamie also stated recently that they've had to cancel shows due to personal emergencies. They're going through quite a lot right now. Keep them in your thoughts!
Also do The Remedy next!
They canceled 1 then picked up a guest drummer and finished the rest of their tour. Their drummer had some health issues and had to go back home. They've had a rough time the last year or so. 😢
They had already recorded all of the Fatalism album with Ryan before he passed. They have still toured with a guest guitarist in his place since then.
@lc81002 yes. It was still super emotional seeing Ryan in the nightmare video. Will be bittersweet seeing them next month without him. New guitarist has been doing a great job tho. Hopefully Dan can return soon healthy and ready to hit the road again.
@@TeeBagGee I saw them in October and they were fantastic. The music videos definitely brought me to tears, especially Nightmare.
Yes, landmine is definitely more heavy and growly. I’m glad you guys enjoyed this one. They have plenty more that are heart wrenching, heavy, and beautiful at the same time. Also, their guitarist, Ryan Siew, just passed away this past year. RIP❤ suggestions for future would be Above My Head, Relapse, The Slow Decay, and Pray For Rain!
Landmine with that second breakdown is nuts bro the first time I heard that I had to play it all over again because it was a slap in the face
You guys gotta check their latest stuff. Nightmare and Inhumane are awesome. Dusk to Day, while older, got me through the toughest patch of my life. Pray for rain goes hard AF. Incredible band
Specially nightmare with the story behind it
One of the best songs EVER
I can't quite describe how happy I am to see you guys react to Polaris. As an aussie I am slightly biased towards our bands, but Polaris would be up there with the favourites regardless, and as many people have mentioned already, this past year has been quite rough for them.
As far as recommendations...well anything. There are plenty of music videos to choose from, although one that I wish more people listened to is L'APPEL DU VIDE. Similar to what you did with sleep token, it can be nice to start at the beginning with a band and see how they evolved and this song is one of their first and also one of my favourites. It is off their second EP 'The guilt and the grief' from 2016. Other than that, the music video for 'The Remedy' is just cool to look at, and 'Dusk to Day' is also fantastic.
Regardless, I certainly hope to see more of them in the near future!
They've got two vocalists the harsh Vocalist is Jamie but he also does cleans but the main clean vocalist in the band is their bassist Jake. They are going threw a lot right now they lost their guitarist & best friend named Ryan in June of 2023. R.I.P Ryan Siew an inspiration to many new guitarist
R.I.P Ryan, no one shreds quite like you. The music scene will sorely miss you..
I am so glad you guys are on polaris, incredible metalcore aussie band. you need to check out more of their stuff.
overflow, nightmare, the remedy, martyr! ugh enjoy!
“The only thing between me and happiness is this depression that I hold close to my chest”
Goddamit that hit way too close to home.
This band is so good, their last album is solid af. RIP Ryan 🙏🏼At some point I need to see you guys react to Invent Animate - Without a whisper. 🙏🏼
Seen these guys many times live and they’re the best I’ve ever seen live. The energy is unmatched. All of their stuff is good. Keep checking these guys out!!
I like that they have 2 vocalists. One screamer and one singer. Great reaction guys!
Screamer also does some cleans
LOOOVE Polaris. Hope you guys get to do a deep dive into their discography!
LETS GO! More Polaris! So happy to see you guys check out more from them.
Thank you so fucking much
I love this band
Great band, keep the reactions coming and I'll keep watching!
If you like this song, you like Polaris. Not that all of the songs sound the same. It’s just that this song is a great snapshot. You have groove and then more technical lead guitar work, vocal range (both vocalists can sing and scream or do whatever - not to mention lyrics which y’all obviously loved), production, and etc.
You must check out more if you liked this one and since you’re late, don’t limit yourself to new or old. They’re consistent, so I hope you check out a couple songs from each full length album.
I miss Ryan! He was a humble, amazing human being who gave so much of himself to his music and those close to him.
YES, FINALLY YOU GUYS ARE GETTING BACK TO TRYING POLARIS AGAIN. I fell in love with this band when Nightmare came out (when their guitarist passed away), and saw them live the same month their last album came out, and I absolutely fell in love. I found asleep Token earlier last year with Summoning, and they jumped to Top 4-5 bands immediately. Not kidding, Polaris jumped to Top 3 IMMEDIATELY, like their last album beat TMBTE for my AOTY. Hard not to as a Sydney kid with a desire to find ‘My band from my hometown’, and these boys will always be my #1 hometown band. I’m not kidding, just finished making dinner, and I’m trying to type this as fast as I can because I’m that excited. Masochist is such a good f’ing song too. I’m gonna get my headphones on now, please do more Polaris, these guys are solid music, not one song on any of their 3 albums is a sub par songs you will never be disappointed, but that’s coming from a super biased opinion. Seriously I’m gonna cry I love these boys so much. Good shit to Patreon subs for voting for this song, I wanna give you all a hug lmao.
I love when bands do this, 2 singers depending on the style of music. Polaris, i Prevail, linkin park. Such a group effort. More please guys 🖤🖤
The actor in the music video is Zach Britt, vocalist of two other great Aussie bands Dream on Dreamer and Young Lions.
One of the most lyrically driven songs ever…this song and “all of this is fleeting” from that album stay on repeat.
Pray For Rain, The Remedy, Martyr (Waves), Aftertouch, Above My Head, Vagabond are all must listens. Excited for more Polaris boys!!
First off, RIP to Ryan. Dude was a visionary on guitar and the whole scene is suffering without him being part of it.
Polaris is one of my favorite bands, and personal recommendations for other songs to check out would be: Above My Head, Vagabond, Hypermania, Consume and Overflow. Overflow and Above My Head are incredible lyrically and I think you guys would really enjoy them.
I've been hoping you'd revisit Polaris. They've quickly become one of my favourite bands!
If you're looking for a HARD metalcore band with a huge range of beautiful sounds to hard hitting kicks, you've come to the right place. Polaris just have that perfect infusion of emotion and depth, I love these guys.
Masochist here, is an older track, and as you've no doubt seen in other comments, we tragically lost guitarist Ryan in June last year. In homage and with the respect he deserves, the band continued to release their latest album 'Fatalism' in his memory, and guys, if you hit up these tracks you will not be disappointed. Be well, brothers. 🤟
One of my favorite bands. Glad you gave them another shot! Would love to see at least a few more reactions to this band.
RIP Ryan🕊️
So glad you guys finally did this song. It is probably my favorite Polaris song. Highly recommend you check out more of their stuff.
This song, in particular, got me hooked where the lyrics really spoke to me. It's an odd comfort where the lyrics are rough but the melodies is just so beautiful. There's an instrumental version of it. I suggest checking it out.
BTW, *_The Death of Me_* is a great album itself if you want to listen to it in your free time.
3 albums from Polaris are literally beautiful
This is the first time I've heard Polaris and I really liked them a lot and would love to see y'all do some more reactions to them, great reaction fellas, CHEERS!!!
Love Polaris. Am definitely here for this journey 🤘
Glad you checked them out. They're a great band, unfortunately going through a lot right now.
Complete side note, but you might be interested in checking out Dream on Dreamer (and/or) Young Lions. The man (Zachary Britt) portraying the artist in this music video is a vocalist in both of these bands.
Pray for Rain for sure!!! The intro is 🔥🔥
I absolutely love this song. It came out in 2020 and for some reason it being out in that time made it hit just a bit harder
FINALLY, i was beging for ages for you to jump on the Polaris journey 😁😁
Honestly been waiting the entire time I’ve watched this channel for you guys to get to this band and song soooo happy today is that day! 🔥🔥🔥
Polaris is definitely my 2nd favorite band behind currents, gotta check out more from both of them
Yess! More Aussie metalcore bands! Northlane, Thornhill, Alpha Wolf to name a few! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
LANDMINE!
SONDER!
DUSK TO DAY!
ALL THE FKG SONGS THANK YOU ILYB❤
Youve got to see them live. What a great show!
A new artist for me. Thank you❣
Such a great song. Very powerful.
I hope this gets some views because Polaris is an absolute journey and I’m so glad you checked them out again. Nightmare and Lucid are top tier songs of theirs. Also Rest in Peace Ryan, their guitarist with the longer and darker hair, who passed away just a few months prior to their most recent album release "Fatalism" which came out September 1st of 2023. Hope you guys get to go through more 🤘🤘🤘
I think you guys would love diving in to more Polaris. One of my top bands for sure. The lyrical content is so deep and meaningful. The guitarist recently passed away but they shot and recorded three videos before his sudden passing. Those music videos and songs were so much more meaningful when they released. The older ones I recommend are Pray for Rain, The Remedy and Hypermania. The new ones I recommend are Inhumane and Nightmare
These guys have extremely good lyrics and very emotional songs. They have some random heavy banger songs but this is really their niche.
Wherever I may walk, dusk to day or sonder next please. You gotta get chills
Soooooooo happy you're reacting to Polaris again!!!
The Remedy and/or Vagabond! Both are so catchy, you won't get either of them out of your head. Nightmare is also a solid track 👌
Glad you guys liked this! Hope to see more Polaris on the channel! ❤️
the visuals of the video describe about how depression will ruin everything, no matter how beautiful life is
One of their best songs ♥
Seeing them next month! 1 of my favorite bands ever!!!!
I've said it everywhere and will always leave this comment. Polaris is so good because of the caliber of EVERY member of the band. Jamie's an electric front man with brutal harsh vocals, RIP Ryan and his beautiful melodies. Rick is clean with everything he adds to the backing guitar, Jake's clean vocals have only gotten better with time but my man Dan (drummer) is on another level. The drums aren't always forward in their mixes (as is the case with most bands) but if you take the time to focus on what he's bringing, it's absolutely amazing. He has some of the best fills and actively contributes the most to songwriting per some interviews they did over the last few years. He's a legend who deservers more recognition! They are my absolute favorite band and are deserve so much success for what they're doing. I truly believe they are the definition of Metalcore at the highest level!
Love seeing Polaris on the channel. Should definitely check out their latest record, it’s absolute fire!
polaris is such a good band i hope to see u guys react to more of them!
Nightmare and All Of This Is Fleeting can go on the top of the list!
As mentioned by others, this band live is incredible. Like as good as any live band I’ve ever seen, highly recommend going to see them if you get the chance.
They are probably my new favorite band and they have nothing but bangers. I would just recommend checking out any song by them but dusk to day is may favorite song by them.
I agree with you guys! They have a good sound vocally & musically
Props for the Mitch Hedberg joke!
pray for rain is going to do a number on these guys
Dissipate by Polaris!! They just dropped a new video for it today! Anything off the new album is AMAZING!
This was so much fun!
Was not expecting Polaris on here anytime soon
Polaris is just so good ❤️
More of this please!
This video is my reminder that I need to listen to more Polaris
May you rest in peace Ryan.
Agree with others that their most recent album is a must listen to as well. Nightmare and Crossfire are 🔥
Polaris are such a great band
I NEED MORE POLARIS
Loved the vid guys, Polaris is one of my favorite bands going rn and I def would love to y’all check out more from them, my suggestions are nightmare, fault line, and remedy to check out next
Yes !!!!! pray for rain is their best song !!
I never saw the sun through the clouds
I lost faith when the skies were falling down
I told yall polaris is awesome if you listen to the right songs. Pray for rain and the remedy are probably my 2 favorites. Overflow is my favorite on there new album
Their music video for Nightmare is absolutely phenomenal. Released after the loss of their guitar player ryan. Very emotional. RIP ryan
If you want learn more about Polaris you need to listen to their album Fatalism. Very underrated band that deserves more love.
Sheesh !!!!!
Guys this band is fucking sick! Above My Head is maybe their heaviest lyrically. If you love lyrics, check that one!
Nice one! ❤
Lucid and The Remedy are must listens. New and old stuff are all good from them
"I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just gonna ask them where they're going, and hook up with em later." -Mitch Hedberg
You should really do "All of this is fleeting" by Polaris. It's amazing
IMO, their latest album was a contender for AOTY last year. Would love to see you guys react to more!!
DO ALL THEIR ALBUMS DUDES!!!
yall should really do Nightmare next!!
you guys WONT REGRET Pray for Rain
Gotta do aftertouch by Polaris
Hypermania is a fun one. Super chaotic but just a fun track. Was one of my first heavy songs that got me onto heavier music.
Fatalism is my favorite album by them! If you guys end up checking more out, that album is nothing but phenominal music.
This entire album is amazing. Pick any song, or all of them
Nightmare is a must do
Polaris is so good
Polaris latest album Fatalism was up there for AOTY for me last year next to take me back to eden
I want to see erics reaction to dissipate and with regards, he's gonna cry for sure based on his reaction to this one.
The album they released last year was fantastic. Check out Nightmare, or With Regards. So sad that their guitarist passed away, RIP.
You guys should check Landmine and also another band worth checking out is Our Promise and their song Panic Waves
Ahhh love Polaris…
How bout some Sullivan kinggggg…?!?!
Can i get some noise for the Aussie metal scene? Polaris, Parkway, Amity, Make Them Suffer, Alpha Wolf, Ocean Sleeper just a few of the names making MOVES!!!!
