Flakiness and Elongation test is done to check the shape of aggregate,which should be of angular shape.And sieve analysis is done to check the size of aggregate.In concrete 20mm down size aggregate is used.Mostly 60% 20mm and 40% 10mm.. It is compulsory to do the tests because these are the factors which affects the workability of concrete. 👍
