Excellent video... The tecnician from AEG after sales service was here at home 20 m ago - and left me with a bill of 60 EUR only for the visit, machine still at fault and requesting my approval to replace the 'casette' for 300 EUR more and a lead time of ten (working) days ("old model, you know")...Found your video and proceeded exactly as you said. I could not afford two weeks lead time...Machine is up and running! Big thanks!
Thank you very much. Based on this movie I repaired our dishwasher and I was surprised how it was finally easy to make it. Thank you from Czech Republic, I saved with your support approx. 300€.
Another success here in Israel, fixing AEG favorit 40730 - thank you !!! Just one comment about removing the side panels, after removing the two screws in the bottom front, you need to carefully bend the side panels flaps that were held by those screws and just slide the side panels UP . Thanks again 5cdchanger !
Had a similar problem, found out how to disassemble it myself. Video would have spared me some time puzzeling how to release the bottom front pannel for example. Really handy instructions!
thanks a ton-i had a "anti flood" control problem-i found that water was coming out of the back of the cassette but wasnt exactly sure how to take it apart-until i saw this video-i took it apart-cleaned it out-and walla-no more leak,,,,,thanks again.
You are the best!! Now the machine runs again. I was afraid to buy a new one or pay a lots money for the sevice. Eine gute sache mit dem video **** Big greets from germany
I think you did great! My machine keep flooding even after tilting it, so I need to start dismantling it. Thanks for the instructions, it was very helpful indeed.
Thank you so much for sharing this! You saved me a lot of money! I had the same problem, for the last weeks..... If ever in Holland, come and get a cup of coffee!
hi, i have a aeg oko_favorit 5071. I solved in less than 5 minutes tilting the machine 45 degrees to the left and to the right. Thank you anyway for the well done instructions!
it's right what you've done. This is the pressure switch, which is a very sensitive device for AEG dishwashers. You should take care when putting inside the dishes, and remove coarsea dirt and not ot to throw oil and grease residues within the machine, but wipe before with a paper towel. Regularly clean the dishwasher with a dishwasher cleaner (you can find it at any AEG customer service office)
Just fixed my AEG Favorit 40730 using this video (11 years old). So another Dutch dishwasher saved. Thanks a lot! I also lubricated the door springs so it does not sqeak any more. Sorry for the replies below. There was a glitch that made posting impossible.
1scott921 If the machine keeps pumping I found that the tray at the bottom was full of water. When you tilt the dishwasher 45° the fluid will empty on the floor making a mess.
Wow that was fast, I've actually done it in a meantime. It was nothing scary in my case, I've managed to clean it with 4-5 mid size towels. And it's working now, didn't have to do anything else. Thanks a bunch my man!
For those who are thinking of buying a new dishwasher ... DONT BUY EVER AN AEG! The worst ever machines in the history of home appliances. If you are one of the unlucky ones having bought an AEG dishwasher ... bad luck guys ... just try to get your money back in whatever way you can.
we have an AEG, and it's been an excellent machine for 9 years. Now it's showing the i30 "flood warning" code and hence started searching the internet and found this video.
+Paul Mansfield mines been reporting flood/leak more and more frequently and now I've had to decide to take it apart, like this example to find a blockage.
AEG was a reliable company but Electrolux bought it and now it's only a "premium" brand. I collect and repair AEG appliances, and they were designed to last and to be easily repaired, but their products are pieces of crap since 2004.

Thanks! Your video was a wonderful info. In my case, i don't need to disassemble it, just emptying the water in the drainage pipe did the job done!

thanks for sharing. helped alot
Does anyone know what is that brown stuff on the left at 4min 15 sec??
Waste food residue
does anyone know what is the name of the part that is bottom left from the labyrinth? the orangy looking container thing?
It is the water softener resin that removes calcium and magnesium from the tap water coming into the machine
we have an AEG dishwasher with heater problem.
If someone knows how to fix that, please let me know
AFAIK it is easier to replace the heater than to "fix" it
Thanks, I will bring some cake. :)
my dial is flashing on .30........................... what could the problem be?
