I completely agree with your take, season one started strong killing of Imogens mom and karen.....this season felt like lighter....I knew hew the killers were because of scream 2...wed doesn't surprise me because he's a plain as day predator.
I find it interesting that A declared dead - but did anyone notice this happened in RAVENSWOOD where Kaleb died and came back...what if his resurrection is a nod to tje Ravenswood spin off without actually saying it. pll is tied to both Ravenswood, Riverdale and by default, Sabrina - I don't want to see magic on this show, but I don't mind knowing it's a couple of towns over
What a great catch!!! I didn’t know we much about Ravenswood but I was wondering if we may get any supernatural elements in the show because of the Archie-verse connection. This is definitely something we need to think about more!!
@@kaymaldo LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
@@_bestlavie omgggg thank you that means so much to me 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
The things that definitely need to happen next season. Faren & Kelly discussing Greg. Noa getting arrested for destroying Shawn’s car. Jen being a villain & Noa finds out with heartbreak. Noa apologizes to Shawn. Imogen & Johnny get back together.
I do agree that Archie was never really trying to hurt the girls his father was. He just wanted revenge for Angela which involved the people around them more. The ending reminded me more of season 5 I think of “Riverdale” when the characters got the disturbing video tapes of themselves. I also knew Archie wasn’t dead it’s just like when The Black Hood “died”from the bus fire in “Riverdale” it was a distraction so he could escape.
Im not shocked that Archie got out. I was more surprised, Archie apparently was killed since in season 1, it showed A is a strong man. it's not easy to take him out.
I do believe Jen has some involvement. For motivation to be working for A is money. If u seen in the original A, it has offered money. I still find it odd. She was able to pay Shawn back, 2000 is a lot. Either she got lucky with tips or she has side hustle.
Plus I found it odd she mentioned Christian and Johnny as working for Bloody Rose. She did have a point about Christian. He had Bloody Rose mask. Not really about Johnny, she doesnt know him very well. However, she does know Imogen and Tabby, and they aren't the type of person to brush things off. If u think about it, if it wasn't for Jen comment about maybe it being Johnny and Christian. Tabby wouldn't have never gone to Christian's basement. How odd that the mask was planted there like they were expecting Tabby to find it. Then their Johnny, how odd once it was mentioned Johnny couldn't be working for bloody rose, Imogen found dead bodies in her worplace. Its like someone wanted to put buzz in their ear so they could be out number
Archie wasn’t dead in season 1 he was just stabbed but survived. He killed his guard & Mr. Beasley then went to kill Chip. He had unfinished business with the girls bullies to.
I really hope Jen is involved maybe Wes’s sister or cousin? Or just being paid the girl is money hungry. She planted the suspects in Noa’s head & then Noa put it in Imogen & Tabby’s heads. Which lead them to dead bodies & a Davie mask. If she is apart of the🅰️team I really want Noa to find out & have the emotional heartbreak that she totally deserves for hurting Shawn & destroying his car.
Jen was able to pay Shawn back because she robbed his house & most likely pawned the jewelry.
@jayekisses I'm referring to the prison riot they mention in season 2 when Archie was apparently dead. Which surprised me when it mention he might have been dead bc we seen him killed ppl with his bare hands
Thé A Team this season was soooo obvious.
Major props to the teams working on the set design hehe everything in this episode looked so awesome
It looked so good!!!
This season had its highs and lows. While it didn't quite live up to the original sin, there were still some highlights. Bloody Rose is not a compelling antagonist. Noa and Mouse's storylines paled compared to Imogen, Tabby, and Faran's. The absence of the liars' mothers was slightly disappointing, as their involvement was a critical factor that made the original sin great. I particularly enjoyed Tabby and Faran's fearlessness in challenging the status quo. Imogen's compelling storyline and Bailee Madison's performance made her unravelling and struggling with PTSD engaging. On the other hand, Noa's storyline felt weak, primarily due to the unearned nature of her relationship with Jen. Despite loving Mouse and her dynamic with Ash, I wished she had a more substantial role this season. Additionally, more insight into Ash's character was desired, especially considering his absence in the season finale. After their meeting, the fates of Mouse's Lola and Rose Waters also remained a mystery. Despite these drawbacks, the show maintained elements I loved from Original Sin in Summer School: the music, the set design, the 80s slasher tone, and the liars' sisterly bond.
Agreed with all of this!
its roberto, his writing his always lazy and full of plot holes.
I’m stoked for a season 3
Got a feeling one of the moms might die if we get season 3
Not filming the first three Final Girl tests was a missed opportunity!
Right!
Did you notice the scream two poster I think in Tabby’s room foreshadowing the scorned mother / crazy movie guy killers?
Yesss wild!
I knew that it’d be Chip’s mom & Wes being apart of it bought it down for me. I feel like if they had taken the supernatural route & let Davie come back the kills would’ve made more sense. Nick & Sabrina found Bloody Rose which like in season 1 the janitor found Archie that got them killed. Killing Sandy would’ve been like revenge for dissing her daughter since Imogen was friends with her & the twins. The pastor for having a hell house in her house. I feel like that would’ve been better.
I feel like this show needs more episodes since they have so many main characters. Maybe 12 or 15 episodes to really tackle all the girls storylines 8 episodes is definitely not enough.
I do agree that Archie was never really trying to hurt the girls his father was. He just wanted revenge for Angela which involved the people around them more. The ending reminded me more of season 5 I think of “Riverdale” when the characters got the disturbing video tapes of themselves. Totally get what you’re saying. I do think it would be nice to have more episodes but I don’t think it’s completely necessary. They just need to plan out the story and writing better. Plenty of shows only have 8-10 episodes and nail it out of the park.
@@kaymaldojust because they have 6 main girls I feel like it’ll be better if they have more episodes to play with. Like 12 or 15
I was underwhelmed with the Mrs. Langsberry reveal. All season we were wrapped up with Bloody Rose's true identity and I feel like it was just skimmed over.
Questions I still have:
I don't understand why she killed Nick, Sabrina, Sandy, Mrs. Waters, or Pastor Malachi.
I don't understand why or how she adopted the Bloody Rose persona.
I don't understand her motivation to target Noa, Mouse, or Faran.
She wanted revenge. The rest was Wes’s poor directorial vision.
I think this was a pretty solid season. It does have a lot of plot holes but thats expected with Roberto. I personally didn't like the Greg and Faran relationship this season as well as, the Noa and jen's. I felt like Greg didn't get a proper redemption arc and still does pretty terrible things. I felt they really forced their relationship. I just didn't like Jen at all this season. I felt like she setback Noa's character this season as Noa's actions are quite questionable with her cheating on shawn, questioning her friends boyfriends, and a couple of other things. I felt like Jen was trying to just break up their relationship the whole time(eventually does), constantly does criminal activity that gets Noa in trouble or a bad reputation, and i feel like she just constantly pressures Noa all the time and has a lot of shady intentions. I personally thought it was weird she thought it was the other liars boyfriends cause they barely met twice and the reasoning was cause they came out of no where when she did the same. I think next season, she'll try to isolate Noa from the rest of the liars. Christian being the killer could've made a bit of since cause the whole mask thing but him and Johnny were with the liars at the rink but there's no real motive. I think wes had a better motive even if it's just him being a frail minded, mediocre lame but i also feel like it was because tabby rejected him last season as well. Also, at the start of the season, how come A is out killing people and no one knew about it. I think the timeline of things are a bit weird at times. I do like a lot about this season though. From the sets, to having the killer actually having some justification for trying to attack the liars. I loved the new look of this season, and the character development of the characters, except Noa and Greg. I think we all knew what would happen this season but i feel like it was way better than season one with the killer reveal being so random. Seaon 1 was so dull, boring, and unaesthetically pleasing. The timeline was all out of wack. The timeline of things happening didn't line up at all in season one with imogen being ready to give birth when she still had a couple of months till she's due, the fact that Noa had her ankle monitor taken off when she was at a party 6 months ago when i could've sworn it was supposed to be a year before it could be taken off. It was just a ton of plot holes like the A being the father but he wanted nothing to do with his child in the first place. The fact that he was even the mastermind. The whole purpose of Archie was to only kill for justice but kills the janitor who did nothing, trying to go after the liars, who did nothing, and the main person they tried to kill was davie but she took her life in the first couple of minutes in the episode so, the whole thing didn't need to happen. I felt like it was about the mothers anyway and imogen starting the investigation was illogical and the whole show she was sneaking around place but she was pregnant and i ended up forgetting about that for half of the season. I think season two is a major step and was well needed. There's still a lot of plot holes but i think if they expand of the characters and go deeper in their stories with more creative ways for the killer to move, then i think it could be a great season three
Totally agree
I’m super excited to see what comes next… @Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa… I’m waiting by the phone to chat about composing original music for a potential PLL musical episode 🤣
Yessssss
This season was rush due to the writers strikes, this season was delayed since season 1, aired in 2022
The strike really isn't a excuse because I read had to stop filming, the Scripts were done the were almost done the had to shoot the last 2-3 episodes, and then the actor strike happened, plus it roberto aguirre sacasa show so rushed and full plot holes are his style.
the writers strike is part of the reason but not the entire reason. folks need to stop using that as a excuse. its roberto, its always roberto and his lazy writing
Chandler was the highlight of this episode!!! And the girls fighting i love I loved this seaosn I hope for s3
I knew it was Wes
I didn’t like how they wrapped up the storyline with Imogen boyfriend. It felt a little tagged on in the therapy session. This is dark but hear me out. I wish he died by the hands of Imogen (supposedly) and the girls help imogen cover it up and the new season focused on them hiding it and a mystery new villain coming at them for this death. Because what happens now when we do get a season 3? Archie is still after them? The girls mothers are the reason for all this and they don’t seem to be targeted anymore. What really is Archie’s motive now? Doesn’t feel strong enough.
I liked the wes reveal but the mrs langsberry reveal was lame
I mean like if mrs langsberry was working WITH bloody rose because of her son's stuff I could have seen like good storyline
Also I don't understand how jen wasn't even considering by roberto and Lindsay as a possible suspect but yet she was the most fishy
You're totally right with the church cult being this red herring that lead to nowhere, i still wish it was either Kelly being brainwashed somehow that shes Karen or something, or Kelly's mom, this way the kills would make sense and the cult plot could have some deeper meaning. and they did have this parallel between the cult prayer and bloody's rose one too. Like Kelly's mom could be working with Wes and wanting revenge for Karen, but also Chips mom could be on it as well somehow.
I was kinda confused that A was killed in the riot because I thought he was already sentenced, but i googled it and it takes time, so that explains. BUT who let him out and WHO faked his death? was it him who faked it? did they find someone else's body?
But if he'll be in the next season, I'd love to have more notes, texts something, since that was a huge focus in the OG.
And i get that they were going for the don't tell or it gets worse, but when Tabby was at church and they were surrounded in the theatre, shouldn't they called someone by now? i mean it cant get worse at that point can it.
Wes is so delulu, and he had this lower voice than usual, i get that they were going for the scary psycho, but it was kinda off putting since he didn't really talk in that low voice at all until now? but it was good performance from him, also he survived? I thought that being stabbed by pitchfork in the chest would end you, i mean he did twitch when the girls checked on him.
The test thing, even if they wouldn't have passed, doesn't US have some 'i've been stalked and almost killed TWICE this year so let me pass this darn school year' exception? hello??
Over all i did really enjoy this season, i enjoyed the horror suspense and the characters, but some smaller changes would make it a lot better. and I def need the girls to have more lies and more to their story as you mentioned. Next season when? we need it.
Lastly, I do like that Kelly survived, I do like her character even if she was kinda eh this season. Maybe they forgave her too quick, but she was kinda brainwashed and manipulated by the cult? I don't expect her to be one of main liars, even if they all got matching tattoos, which was cute. I guess she reminds me of Mona, like she was with them, but never fully targeted by A, more like used later seasons.
I’m on ep 3 but it’ll be crazy if it’s chip’s mom
im sorry but the whole scream 2 killer rip off was just lazy and doesnt fit with the rest of this season at all. if u replace christian with wes, it still rips off scream 2. all that build up with the cult church thing, was for nothing. i know im so neg with this show but i cant help it, i just want it to be good! i love the og pretty little liars and slashers and this show either tries too hard or tries too lil. then again, its roberto!!!!!
What would you have liked to see?
Zaria definitely came into her character, some might even like season 2 better for the lighter tone and pretty little liars works with both feels a lighter or more darker season. This episode was definitely a little less because the mask theory is correct anybody could of made that mask,i think the killer definitely getting more and more obvious.
This show isn’t giving pretty little liars vibe more scream vibes im confused where’s the mean girls who turned crazy like Mona or like Alison the amazing mystery the hard ships the cool guy characters like Toby and Caleb wtf people actually like this ?! They don’t even have chemistry as friends is this scream or PLL what’s going on anyone else agree?!
If the show is renewed, I think the writers need bigger lies to hide.
The show is called Pretty Little Liars and besides Jen and her sticky fingers, it's not like there were such huge secrets to tell.
Now, Archie. Is me or Doc Sullivan's story was full of holes? I feel like she kept her mouth shout on a lot of things. Things that could explain that final scene.
From what we know, Archie always struck following his Father's orders, so why did he target Sebastian? And why the Sullivan? To kill her felt quite... personal. Maybe she coudl have done something to him, something he wanted a "personal" revenge for.
I'm of the opinion that it was not Wes ( or Bloody Rose) the one to kidnap the therapist but Archie. And now that there's no one to give him orders, he can follow his own agenda.
For the next season, I would like for something more... CeCe Drake like for Archie. Like we don't know his face. And it's the same for the Liars, so what stops him from mingling with the people of Milwood to spy on them?
