This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I have cut my leather belt from when I was a kid, I grew up in Texas, and yes, I have my name on the back of my belt. No way I can wear it so I want to cut it into a cuff and this is exactly the type class I’ve been looking for. Thank you so so much.

I don’t know if I’m speechless or if I absolutely love you.!!!! no, I’m not weird!!!! lol 😂 You know I have made cuffs before, and I never ever thought about using rivets to secure the cuff ends….. Anyway, I love the cuff that you designed, I love how you teach!!!! You have my brain going like a washing machine!!!! Thanks for sharing your technique with us, Nicole! I'm gonna try it! I've been making similar leather bracelets recently, and I haven't yet found a fastener style I like. I suspect this may be what I'm looking for! You might be interested to learn a variation on the leather bracelet you made: Instead of using new leather, I've been using decidedly old leather for the cuff. I make them from used "stirrup leathers" from English saddles. The stirrup leathers ride against the horse's skin, and they typically get soaked in sweat every time you ride the horse. Getting soaked in sweat and then drying again between rides gives old stirrup leathers a natural aged look that makes the bracelet look like you've been wearing it for decades. Stirrup leathers break, eventually, and I collect the broken ones to make into bracelets. Each one is a simple leather belt, about the same length as my 34 inch waist, so a broken stirrup leather makes numerous bracelets. They are not suitable for someone who might be allergic to horse sweat, of course, but I've never experienced any irritation from wearing them.

Another question! In the previous video when you riveted the fern and the stone bezels you created little washers. Is there a reason why/why not you don't add the washers to the rivets for the ends?
You're asking why I use rivets for the ferns and not the cuff ends? The rivets for the ferns are so that the rivets don't pop through the leather as it expands. With the cuff ends, the metal itself will hold the rivets in place. No washers are needed. Does that answer your question?
Question: I see that when you are soldering both the tubing and the "T" to the sheet they are flush with the sheet (same length as the sheet...1.5") Then at 5:12 minutes into the video you show the "T" part and it appears to be sawed some distance from one end. What distance is recommended? Thank you for this video!
