I was on a clinical trial for Pembrolizumab/Keytruda for metastatic melanoma, from 2013-15. Got given it every two weeks for 2 years. Finished treatment Dec 2015 and have received nothing since. Was beyond lucky to have a complete response. From being told to get everything in order and to enjoy Xmas 2013, as it would most likely be my last one, to still being here and living a normal life. Thank you science and to all the doctors and nurses that have saved mine and many others lives ❤️❤️ 🎗️
Woo woo! I look forward to the day when your story isn't more exciting that saying your bad cold cleared up. But for now, celebrate, Champ, you won the big lottery!!!
Thank you for this informative and inspiring lecture. I have metastatic renal cancer and I am on immunotherapy. I feel incredibly lucky to have access to these new drugs which currently have stopped growth of my tumours without the horrible side effects of chemo. I am thankful for the dedicated doctors and researchers working to control, cure or even eradicate this horrible disease called cancer. Thank you!!
It's been three months. I hope you are still doing well. I am at the age where a lot of friends and acquaintances are getting cancer, and the more encouragement we can all get from lectures like this the better. I take solace from thinking that our children and grandchildren will not have to worry about this as much as we do.
