I live In the desert, so my main concerns are basically overwith for the year until next summer. Although, now the coyotes, hawks, owls, are on the prowl.
I grew up in Louisiana ... I wonder why I never had frostbite problems with our chickens, pheasants, geese, ducks, guineas, and quail.... Sorry, I know I'm trolling. Now that I live in Texas, I know living in Louisiana isn't the only solution.... Dang! Trolling again! Really sorry! Love this channel.
"Make sure there is plenty of ventilation. Block any holes where air might get in." What???
The key to a Winter coop is ventilation without a draft. You need to get the moisture from the breathing chickens out.
