The new church that grew from Pentecost where Peter preached the first sermon and were people, cut to the core, were baptised, started with those initial 3000. This fledgling church had a special three-fold posture, and it was healthy. These postures were: inward, upward, and outward. The inward focused on community life. The upward focused on worship and praise, while the outward focused on mission and evangelism. As the modern church, we can learn so much from the original church without being nostalgic in our outlook. Texts are Genesis 11:1-9 and Acts 2:41-47
