Keep up the nice work, turning out so good! Man I wish I could afford one of these..
Keep up the good work brother. We need you!.
Hey I ran into a vanos issue where the car ran like it was struggling to breathe couple days ago and I tried to fix it with success but found a problem with your instruction video ( no codes in dme). I had 3 pairs of solenoids with me, bmw oe (150,000km on them from factory on the car), viaco (20,000km on them installed last year) and brand new pierburg. So cleaned all 3 sets and swapped them and the car still ran poorly. I followed your video on swapping and calibrating vanos solenoids. So in your video you actually do a Valvetronic calibration but there is a Vanos calibration called something like ABL- exhaust camshaft sensor and ABL - intake camshaft sensor ( I searched vanos in ISTA). I ran both tests which tests the actuation of the vanos cams then sets an adaptation offset for the angle. This fixed all the power problems I had with my N52 6MT E82.
Thanks for the video. Title says removal? What did you remove? Are we to understand you simply disconnected the secondary air pump electrically and pneumatically?
Thanks
What do you think could be wrong if Idrive screen sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t but you will still have music?
Looks like you need your steering wheel centred. Turned to the right to go straight?
When are you getting the e63 M6
What software are you using for the E60?
Why didn't you show the removal?
Looked pretty straight forward, just a pain to take the hose off.
Got a fault code 27DA possible vacuum pump, brake booster. Went into limp mode but cleared the fault and not came back but order a vacuum pump
Nathan does it take 100 to 200 miles (or less) for the M5 if you disconnect the battery for the computer to relearn ?
No
Regarding your E90: IBS, alternator, water pump, oil level sensor is on BSD line. If there is a problem with one of those you can get errors on all BSD line. Last thing you have changed on BSD was oil level sensor (FEBI - this is a low cost brand considered to be crappy in Europe). You should focus on that.
I was getting a p1209 code, vacuum sensor. replaced sensor, and still getting the same p1209 code. moving to replace the brake vacuum pump next. hopefully it stops the code and reduced power limp mode nonsense. I can turn off the car and restart to clear the reduced power issue
Would you ever do a SMG delete and swap with a manual?
No
Nathan's BMW Workshop Cool. Had a random question on the M54’s. I know you did an M56 valve cover swap on the X5 a while back.
Do you know if that swap and a CCV delete (since it’s built into the M56 valve cover) might help with oil consumption?
I was fixing to go burn and loot... But god damn, Nathan just posted.. gotta watch!!
How many more raggedy bimmers are you going to collect, Nathan?
BUY A 70 440 6 PAK CUDA
That pump is for the evap
Its the vacuum pump for the brakes, the two little pumps in the rear are for the evap
Scotty can fix it he loves BMW
I thought about getting an e60 M5 but then I decided not to kill myself
good Choice
removal? where? big joke....
The car is JUNK.
No
You can say a lot of things about the v10 m5 … junk? Definitely not one. Super fast road rocket is more definitive.
